Another great visit!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time to rent this home, and it is such a great place. Plenty of room, clean, and great location. The only thing I would change is to upgrade the TV. We had to take out and reinstall the batteries in remote every five clicks because it would stop working, but thankfully we were not spending much time watching television!

Perfect getaway cabin

Great place!

The property was perfect for my family. It was close to everything, yet far enough to really feel like you are “getting away.” I highly recommended staying here.

Peaceful and quiet. Had everything we needed. Perfect cabin for our family. Even got to see a moose and her calf drinking from the little pond out back one morning. Will definitely book again!

Lovely Outdoor Setting

We stayed here with another couple and it was very comfortable for all of us. We especially enjoyed the outdoor deck. The kitchen is well equipped and the house has a nice floor plan for two couples.

very nice place

We enjoyed our short stay at this cabin . It was a comfortable place to stay and it had everything we needed. We even saw a momma moose and her baby walking in the neighborhood ! It was close to trails and the west entrance to RMNP.

Anniversary Weekend

We were looking for a getaway for our anniversary. This cabin was amazing. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the morning and evening watching a moose and her baby swim in the lake and take a nap right outside our cabin. It was so peaceful and relaxing and we look forward to coming back and staying again.

Nice Cabin

This unit was just right for us, There is one bedroom upstairs and one on the main level. The beds were super comphy! Kitchen had all the furnishings you would ever need.

Nice Cabin-like Home

Very nice property nestled in the woods. Between the moose which visited our side yard and a family of owls, it made the experience one to remember. Our family said, let's come to this lovely home again!

Perfect holiday weekend in the woods

We had a wonderful stay at Gokden Moose Lodge. The Property was 5 min drive to the town of Grand Lake, We cross country skied at the Nordic Center which is also very close and enjoyed the winter wonderland views from both levels of the house. The living space was open and spacious, fresh and clean!

Loved our cabin .

We have vacationed at the Rocky Mountain Park several times but always stayed in other towns. Grand Lake is so nice and the cabin was just minutes from the entrance which saved us so much time everyday driving back and forth. We will definitely be staying there again.

Peaceful family vacation

Very neat, clean, and peaceful home in the trees that made it feel like a real mountain retreat but had the security of being in a nice neighborhood. We spent most of our time in Grand Lake and surrounding area with everything being a very short 10-15 minute drive. Highly recommend!

Home away from home

Everything was clean and neat. Had a sweet homey vibe. Just one issue with the toilet but it was handled quickly and efficiently. Management was very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful site in the woods and the added bonus was the moose that came every day in the backyard. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Retreat

Moose were everywhere. It was nice having the gas barbeque on the porch. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the porch which felt like the middle of the forest. We would rent this house again.

The very first evening we saw two moose behind the cabin, which was the reason we chose Grand Lake. Grand Mountain rentals were so helpful, kind, and prompt. They made this easy, and were there every time we had a question. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and we would definitely return there!

Quiet Cul de sac

The other beds outside the master was very uncomfortable. An upgrade on those would be good.

Hi Jack, we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay! A little disappointed that you gave the home a 3 overall, as bed comfort is always pretty subjective and varies greatly per person. The bed in the loft is actually brand new, only about 3 months old. We hope that you come back to Grand Lake again!

Very quiet!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very open and spacious for big family. A little disappointed that it was so close to other cabins, which the pictures don’t show. Luckily, at this time of year, not many people are around. We were hoping to enjoy the fireplace a little more, but it didn’t seem to work properly. It kept going on and off and didn’t stay on for very long. Also, the AC vents look like they have never been cleaned.

Were sorry that you felt the cabin was too close to other homes, pictures are taken directly from the yard and the driveway of the home and the listing states that the home is in the Columbine neighborhood. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this was a wonderful place to stay. Quiet neighborhood, close to the park and really clean. The only complaint is that the mattresses were horrible. I would definitely make sure they were replaced before I booked here again. We couldn’t sleep on the king bed because it was so lumpy. It’s also very strange to not have anything covering the windows when the neighbors have a clear view into the bedroom from their porch.

Hi Allyson, we are glad to hear this cabin was in a great area and quiet during your stay despite a couple of other issues. This is the first we have heard of poor quality in the mattresses, but the owner is aware of the curtains and is in the process of replacing them! We hope to see you again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was quite nice and very clean. Outdoor decks were excellent. The views and location were great. The $150 threat of a fine if any garbage is left behind is unnecessary and creates a negative vibe. The fireplace did not work and there were no instructions for it. Kitchen was adequately stocked.However, while there were plenty of coffee cups there were only 3-4 mismatched wine glasses. Same with beverage glasses. Cutting knives were not that great.

Hi Michael, we are glad that you enjoyed Golden Moose! Trash disposal is something that we take seriously because of the many bears in the area. The trash fee is certainly not meant to be a threat but a reminder to do the right thing and dispose of trash responsibly - it happens more than you would think. We did go by the home after your departure and the fireplace works just fine, so we aren't sure what the problem was there. We are delivering more drinking Glasse to the home this week as well. Thanks for visiting!
