Pineapple Paradise at Poipu Crater A/C In Bedrooms

Poipu Crater is our slice of paradise AND it's literally located inside of an extinct volcanic crater. Nestled into the hillside, this condo is shaded from the afternoon sun keeping it comfortable and cool.

This is our home away from home. We live on the west side of Kauai and Poipu Crater is our escape from our normal work life. When we are not enjoying the peace and quiet of this resort, we enjoy sharing our slice of paradise with those who want to enjoy Kauai too - vacationers like you!

Poipu Crater is the perfect home for your ohana and is walking distance to Poipu's finest beaches. Our home is steps from the pool, tennis courts, putting green, ping pong and BBQ's and is also surrounded by lush gardens and shaded walking paths. Here you will enjoy peace and quiet and when leaving the resort you'll then be immersed in all that Poipu has to offer.

Poipu Crater is a half-hour drive from the airport to our tropical oasis, where you can use our complimentary parking. The condo's spacious living room has plenty of comfortable seating, a flat-screen Smart TV and a private lanai with lush garden views. The fully stocked kitchen opens into the dining/bar area and lanai. Ceiling fans are located throughout the condo for extra comfort along with A/C in each bedroom.

For extra privacy, the master bedroom and master bath take up the entire second floor. We offer a Tempur-Pedic king bed, A/C, a digital alarm clock with wireless charging and a flat-screen Smart TV for your enjoyment.

Downstairs, the guest bedroom has a queen bed, A/C and a digital alarm clock with wireless charging and it shares the home's guest bathroom.

Our home has modern amenities to make your stay as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. We also supply beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach/pool towels, cooler, a portable wireless Bluetooth speaker and sand toys for the keiki (kids). We do not supply: Snorkel gear, boogie boards or surfboards.

If you’re looking for a laid back stay "Hawaiian Style," we have you covered. Enjoy the beach, a swim in the pool, practice your putting on the mini-putting green, play a few rounds of tennis or ping pong, and enjoy a cold beverage on your lanai – everything you need to work out, cool off or wind down.

We had a wonderful stay in Kauai! The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were cozy, and the provided bathroom products were a thoughtful detail. Having beach chairs and gear available made our trips to the beach even better. The location was excellent. We had lots of fun.

Wonderful Stay

We had an amazing time relaxing in Poipu Crater. The rental was perfect for our family, with plenty of room, comfortable bedrooms and all the amenities. The grounds and pool area were beautiful.

Pineapple Paradise

Had a wonderful time at the property. The unit is perfect for two couples and is well stocked with everything you will need. The location is great, a short walk in a few directions to a couple of very nice beaches. The Lanai provides a great outdoor dining location while being very private. It is only a few steps to the clubhouse which has a beautiful pool and a large area where you can barbecue and relax. If you like tennis there are a couple of beautiful tennis courts outside your front door

Older property in Poipu

Hosts were helpful and pleasant - absolutely no issues with any of their communication, etc. Checkin was easy and they provided all info we needed. We were a little disappointed that the property was only partially updated and the portion that isn’t definitely shows its age. The downstairs bedroom was nice and enjoyed by our son. The common living/dining/kitchen areas have been updated. We, however, were frustrated that the upstairs bedroom had a bit of a funky smell that we could not get to clear. I think knowing the area a bit better now, we would choose to stay in an adjacent neighborhood but this was a very quiet little subdivision in Poipu..

Wonderful Stay

This was our second stay this year. We enjoyed our first stay so much that we quickly booked another one. Great location, quiet peaceful condo complex with lush foliage. Condo unit was very clean and well-appointed. Pride of ownership was apparent. Nice walk to Poipu Beach. Can’t wait to come back!

Even Better Than Advertised!

My husband and I spent the last four nights of our Hawaiian vacation here and it was the perfect way to end our travel adventure. The condo is conveniently located close to all that Poipu Beach and Kauai’s South Shore has to offer. The hosts were easy to communicate with and the condo was very clean and well-appointed. Pride of ownership is evident and we felt relaxed and “at home” from the moment we walked in. The complex is located on lush grounds and we spent time enjoying the lanai. We have already booked our next stay here—can’t wait to come back!

Well stocked!

We have spent a lot of time in various VRBO rentals in Hawaii. This was hands down the most well stocked unit we have ever been in. It had everything we needed for our visit. It was set up great for our family, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

retirement bliss

Relatively quiet (the variety of bird songs aside) unit which is well appointed, well maintained with the perfect amount of space for our couple, and amazingly only 50 feet from pool and tennis. We could use either at any time- felt like our own private luxury estate, albeit semi wild with the abundant vegetation throughout the crater. Six weeks passed too quickly.

Mele Kalikimaka in the Poipu Crater

Wow! This was the best Christmas. From the minute we walked in we felt like we were home. Everything was wonderful, from the layout of the condo to the helpful organized vacation binder with recommendations, to the fully stocked kitchen and beach bags. It was more than we could have asked for... and all we wanted was more time on the island! We will be back at the Pineapple Crater. Mahalo, Bruce & Micah!

Perfect for families

The most thorough communication, detailed instructions, information on the area and things to do, and truly a home away from home, but in the heart of paradise. We had everything we needed and more to make breakfast and even cook some steaks for dinner. Well stocked and clean. Perfect location just minutes from Poipu Beach. Will definitely consider this BnB when coming back to Kauai.

Spacious and Comfortable

We loved being in Poipu and this place was a great location, spacious, and comfortable It was a short 3 -5 minute drive to our favorite beach to swim and watch turtles. The owners are great to communicate with. We had problems with the AC and they instantly responded and did their best to quickly fix the situation.

Had it All

Our family of two parents and two college boys stayed for four days before heading up north. The surroundings were beautiful and the condo was really well stocked with new dishes, silverware and kitchen utensils as well as beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, umbrella and some sand toys and snorkeling gear for kids. There were detailed instructions and a great binder filled with helpful info about the island. There is also a local person to help with any issues that come up. I would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommended!

Vacation with husband, sister and brother in law

Pineapple paradise was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and well taken care of. Very tropical feel location with beautiful plants near by.. The location was perfect. Ocean was near by, shops and restaurants but it was private enough that you didn't feel like it was too touristy. The only negative thing about the condo is you could hear everything your neighbor was doing and vice versa even when they were being very quiet. The walls are very thin so you can hear their tv, shower, talking ect. I'd still give this place a 10 out of 10 and would come here again! So clean and beautiful.

If you are looking for old Hawaii with a Polynesian inspired theme nestled among lush tropical foliage in a private setting, then Poipu Crater Resort is for you. Imagine only 30 units over a 7 acre parcel of land; this unique community is a rare find on the island of Kauai. Poipu Craters landscape is breath taking - Bruce and I love sitting on the lanai taking in the views of the lush gardens and seeing/smelling all the fragrant plumerias.
