Lots of flat land! River Ritz is a rustic, 3bd, 2bth 2 story log cabin that sits a few feet from the ELLIJAY RIVER and truly has it all. At this Sliding Rock Cabin try your hand at fly fishing, enjoy a stroll along the river's edge, or tube to your cabin from the covered bridge. Maybe take a meal in the waterside pavillion. In the evening roast S'mores in the riverside firepit, or have a soak in the large outdoor hot tub and watch the river go by. All decks are gated so and there is a FENCED YARD so of course your pooch is welcome!
Main floor offers 2 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen) & 1 bath with shower/tub combo. Upstairs there is 1 queen bedroom and 1 bath with shower/tub combo. PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW.

No cats please.

We encourage you to protect your vacation investment with a travel insurance of your choice.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. No refunds, rebates, or compensation will be offered. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST PURCHASING VACATION RENTAL INSURANCE with your travel insurance of choice. Great dog cabin!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at River Ritz. We stayed there with our two Australian shepherds, and they had a great time running around the yard. The cabin is a great place for dogs, especially the outdoor area. While we were there, we went hiking, checked out the wineries and orchards, and visited downtown Ellijay. It was a great trip.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice location and a great large fenced area for the dogs. We were able to sit out in the gazebo with the dogs. Enjoyable in spite of the frequent afternoon rains. More instructions on how to navigate the TV would be helpful. Office was very responsive for any needs that arose.

It had minor issues like the downstairs fan in bathroom made awful sound and we were afraid to turn it on. Also the lighting is very dim throughout cabin. Overall great little place. The drive in to get to the cabin was treacherous. Roads need serious work. The wildlife was majestic. I would stay again and recommend to others

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Another great stay at Sliding Rock. The cabin is beautiful and has multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to make lunch and dinner and breakfast. The house had extra items for the two dogs that we have. The yard was safe for them. We enjoyed the stream/river and the quiet. We will be here again for sure!!!!

Relaxing Week on the Ellijay River

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Absolutely love this cabin! This was our 4th time staying with Sliding Rock Cabins and while we've always been extremely happy with the cabins we chose, River Ritz is our favorite! Lots of water front on the property and the outdoor deck was the ideal place to relax and watch the river flow by. All the lovely blooming flowers, shrubs and trees on the property added to the beauty of the outdoor environment. The fenced yard was perfect for our 3 small dogs! We appreciated that it allowed them to access to the outdoor deck where they could safely hang out with us; one of our pups is only 7 lbs and I never worried she would be able to squeeze through the fence or deck railings. The new swings around the firepit were a brilliant idea and we spent several chilly evenings sitting around the fire. While the cabin was smaller than some of the others we stayed in, it offered plenty of room for 4 adults and was well appointed. We found the beds and furniture to be very comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and had everything we needed for those times we cooked in. Can't wait for our next visit!

Pet friendly comfortable riverfront location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our second stay at River Ritz. Truly pet friendly! We really enjoy the outdoor areas of this property; nicely designed with great seating areas inside the large fenced area including a nicely furnished covered deck with relaxing river views and easy river access to allow our dogs to swim. Bedrooms are comfortable. Bathrooms adequate. Kitchen is well stocked. Nice TVs and game room for indoor entertainment. Flat driveway with plenty of parking. Kind and helpful office staff who quickly respond to inquiries. Cabin needs a few minor repairs and would benefit from some modest decorating renovations, all of which we reported to management after we departed. Main road needs grading; doesn’t require AWD/4WD, but many pot holes from rain erosion.

River Ritz holiday stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this cabin 2 years ago and again this year over Christmas. Minor things were lacking from previous stay. Was not as clean as it was in the past. Had to look for a dropped puzzle piece under couch. Been a while since that area was touched. Cleanliness overall was lacking a bit. 2 years ago the cabin was decorated beautifully with holiday adornments including a large tree. This year it was a small 12 inch one. Had to buy firewood this year. Had to buy toilet tissue. Just a few things that I would expect paying the rate we did for the week

Wonderful place to relax!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at the River Ritz. Eventhough the furniture etc was a little outdated and the house is pretty dark, it feels so cozy and welcoming inside! There was music playing in the house when we arrived and we also loved the personal welcome note. Our 3 kids and our dog loved the outdoor space and gameroom. The landscaping is beautiful! The location is great! 10 minutes to Ellijay, 15 minutes to Blue Ridge, 40 minutes to Amicalola Falls. The drive to the cabin is a little scary at first, because the road to the house is very steep, but we felt comfortable driving there after the first day. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Extra sheets for the beds to protect from dogs were provided. The gravel road is around 2 miles, but is not treacherous as described in other reviews. Nice relaxing trip

Relaxing and Enjoying Nature By The River

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We completely enjoyed our time at River Ritz, very quiet and relaxing! The cabin is clean and well maintained. It is actually nicer and more comfortable than how it appears in the pictures. We especially enjoyed the covered pavilion with fans and lights. It was a nice place to sit and read (especially the day it rained) or have dinner with family. We also liked that the cabin is very close to the Ellijay River. The river was quite calm here. We tried a little fishing but didn't have much luck. The fenced yard was great for our 2 Shih Tzus. This was our 2nd time renting through Sliding Rock Cabins. They were very easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely rent through them again.

Treacherous road and additional charges

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the cabin itself was lovely, we were required to follow a lengthy checklist of tasks as we left. Keep in mind additional fees which include cleaning were over $200! The road conditions were also treacherous! Vacationers beware! We stayed for the duration of our contract because we were in town for a wedding but another family left their cabin at Sliding Rock due to the stressful conditions of the road which included steep hills, deep ravines and sliding rocks! The drive was so stressful that we left the cabin only when absolutely necessary.

Wonderful get away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin and location are perfect for a relaxing get away, with the dogs! The cabin had everything needed, and fenced yard which my dogs loved. There were plenty of board games, and a foos ball table that the whole family enjoyed. My son fished in the river but didn't catch anything, so I don't believe this is a good spot if you are wanting to fish. The only, very minor complaint I have is there was food in the dishwasher from prior renters. I'm assuming it is from people not rinsing off plates before putting them in the dishwasher. I texted the management company but didn't receive a response. We ended up hand washing all the dishes we used. Everything else was very clean, though! I would definitely stay here again. My kids (18 years old) and I loved tubing the river rapids, but there isn't much else to do that we found. The area is good for wineries, though.
