The Hayworth House - Saratoga Lake

One of a kind Saratoga retreat set on over 2 acres; 5 minutes from the Saratoga Racecourse, downtown Saratoga and I-87. This Art & Crafts style home is one of only a few original residences which was on the east side of Saratoga Lake. This vacation retreat boasts a large gunnite heated pool, lakefront deck & beach area; indoor and outdoor fireplaces and a large private yard with perennial gardens. Named in honor of its former summer residents Rita Hayworth & Aly Kahn, the Hayworth House vacation estate will be sure to make your stay a relaxing one. This is your chance to mingle with the spirits of former guests which also include the likes of Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Arden, Bing Crosby & James Cagney. Enjoy the simple, private summer lifestyle of an era gone by...and wonder what you would hear if the walls could talk!


Entertain your business clients!: Whether you are a lobbyist or a corporate executive, the Hayworth House is is a great place to host your clients. Your guests can arrive and park in the adjacent lawn area, go off to the track and return for an evening function which can be catered by one of the areas many caterers. With four bedrooms, your closest friends or clients can call this historic cottage home for the evening.

How about bringing in a different client each day while you stay for the week? It doesn't sound like a bad job having to host your business associates at the track, for a round of great golf or as a guide to some of the area's great restaurants. This is one write-off that is sure to be fun and pay off!

A family getaway that all will enjoy!: With the pool (June through September), lake, a great yard for games such as bocce, croquet or Frisbee, there is no need to go anywhere. My wife and I and our two sons have rented homes on Saratoga Lake for the last 15 years. My wife, sons and guests all agreed that this was the best two weeks we have spent at the lake. The proximity to the track and town is excellent. The pool is outstanding and the home itself is absolutely charming. The hosts are kind and informative.We hope to return next summer.

Wonderful vacation time!

We rented this property to spend some time with extended family and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The pool, rooms and location are just exceptional, and the history coming with the house is the cherry on top. Nice to swim in the same pool as Grace Kelly did! The owners were exceptionally nice as well and even put on an outdoor movie night for the kids. 5 stars, I hope we can come back in the future!

Birthday weekend

We had a great time celebrating my oldest daughter's birthday. There were 5 of us, and the house was perfect - beautiful view of the lake, very clean, plenty of room for sleeping and just hanging out and enjoying each other's company. Contact person (next door) was very nice, and responsive to my messages. Close enough to town to enjoy restaurants and shopping. Definitely recommend!!

Beautiful place and very amazing hosts

The property is very nice and the place is beautiful. It is quite large and comfortable and it is also right on the lake. Very private. The hosts are very gracious people and it felt like we were friends meeting after long! If you are thinking about booking a place in Saratoga springs, this is just perfect !!

Amazing as always

This is our second stay at this property, and again, it did not disappoint. Between the amenities, and friendliness of the owners, we feel like it is literally our second home. Everything is close by, and we are left with anything we could need, which made our stay very enjoyable.

Wonderful stay!

The house is large, confortable, clean as a whistle, and the decor fits the persona of Rita Hayworth. They were plenty of yard games, board games, books, and the pool was fantastic! The family that owns this property is warm and welcoming. Everything was perfect!

Family fun

House is lovely with tons of charm and character. Property is very private and the heated pool is amazing. We totally enjoyed our stay. Hosts are very nice and helpful. Definitely would love to stay again.

Wonderful stay

Our family of 4 stayed at the house at the end of August 2020. The house is charming and comfortable, with everything we needed included. It is an older house with plenty of charm and history. It has a gorgeous view of the lake with stunning sunsets and a large yard with lawn games and a firepit, picnic table and grill, and a private dock across the local road. The pool is great - big with both a shallow and deep part. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We definitely plan on returning! We had such a nice week there.

Charming Getaway

The owners were extremely helpful during our stay! Our kids had a wonderful time with the outdoor space and games and the house had so much character. Would definitely rent again.

Relaxing and enjoyable

From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, there was not one regret about booking this property. The property gives you the rustic country feel, and has games, and toys for the kids, along with amazing views of the lake and sunsets. There were toys and games for my son. There was a nice heated pool, amd firepit to relax from a long day. Mike and Fiorella provided lots of information of things to do, and we steps away if we needed assistance, yet they were never imposing. There were boat rentals down by the lake which we took advantage of as well. We had such a great time, we would love to make this an annual family vacation. You will not be dissapointed with your stay at this house.

Fantastic getaway

Hayworth House was the perfect place for a family getaway. The house had everything needed to make our vacation fun and comfortable, including a fully equipped kitchen and books/games for adults and kids. The outdoor space really made our stay--there was a big pool with floaties, a huge yard with games and space to run around, a grill and great outdoor dining table, a firepit, and a deck to watch the gorgeous sunset. Fiorella was an excellent and responsive host. We hope to be able to return!

Everything and more

I don't know where to begin. The property was beautiful. Fiorella and her family were wonderful. I can't thank them enough for allowing me to have an intimate wedding with my closest friends and family. The house was absolutely perfect. I loved it's vintage ambiance. The sunsets each night on the lake are worth the price of admission alone. We saw a blue heron as well as mother duck and her ducklings on multiple occasions. The entire atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and refreshing. The property is also very centrally located. It is far enough away that you have piece and quiet yet, the market is just a short drive away as well as outings such as the track etc. I recommend this charming lake house to anyone who is looking to go back in time and disconnect from it all for a little bit. The Hayworth House was everything and more. I couldn't have asked for a better setting for my wedding. Thank you again Russo family! I wish you all the best!

Great sisters vacation spot

The pool was great, looking over Saratoga Lake and the beautiful sunsets. Went paddle boating, swam in the lake. Loved that the owners kept the original beams, fire place, hardwood floors and decorated the cottage according to the period, but upgraded appliances in the kitchen and bathrooms. Close to Saratoga Springs with shopping and sight seeing, Congress Park, Race Horsing Museum, Horse Track, great restaurants to choose from and beautiful mansions. Owner were very responsive to our needs .

Fabulous Summer Rental

The house was wonderful and spacious for the 8 of us. The pool and property added an extra level of relaxation. The lake was across the street and there was a dock and beach that the children played at for hours. I will rent here again if I don't buy my own lake house.

Wonderful weekend at Saratoga Lake!

We just finished our weekend at the Hayworth House and we couldn't have asked for a better house! The property is beautiful, and we had so much fun enjoying bon fires, grilling and playing in the pool. Our group of 8 had a very comfy stay in the 4 bedrooms, one room even had a king bed! Our host was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed upon checking in. She lives in the property next door and was easy to reach if we needed anything. Overall, we were so happy with the experience and look forward to hopefully returning as guests in the future!
