The grandkids had a great time. My parents had a good time. My children all had a fantastic time right on the beach. Everything was great.

Excellent Location and Room for Large Groups

The location is right on the beach so - excellent! We loved going straight down to the beach anytime and easy access to the house when we needed it. Great place for kids and groups up to 13, more if you use couches. We expected to have one neighbor to share the deck with but there are more units - maybe 2 or 3 others. The house is rustic and could use some work - particularly in the kitchen. Beautiful views and ocean sounds. We loved our stay!

Truly the best view on the beach

We had an amazing week on Wells Beach, partly due to the location and size of this interesting house. So many windows with amazing views of the beach. Nice patio with fire pit and picnic table/umbrella - but be prepared to share it with the other 3 families staying in the house. This was never an issue for us, as everyone got along and we didn't spend too much time on the patio. Fully stocked kitchen (cooking supplies, spices, plates, cups, utensils, etc.) 2 separate eating tables, one of which we used entirely for gaming and puzzling! 3 separate living room type areas with very comfortable seating in all. 3 of the upstairs bedrooms have air conditioners in window, which was nice during a few very hot days. A few small issues, which owner was responsive to. House is old and could use more updating. Electrical outlets in many bedrooms were extremely loose and plugs would fall out randomly. Many of the mattresses were older and pretty uncomfortable - no different than any other old house I've rented on Wells beach. Lots of stairs to navigate, front and back, which are pretty narrow, and a bit difficult for my elderly mother. The rest of us were just fine. Overall a fantastic experience for our family of 8 and I would definitely rent again if I could afford it. lol This was a bucket list trip for us to stay directly ON the beach and it was worth every penny.

Glad you had a great time. Please email me and let me know which mattresses are uncomfortable we will replace them. Hope you used the chair lift that is there for elderly or people in need.we want our renters to be comfortable and come back year after year.

Family Vacation

Great location. Right on beach, as advertised. Online listing was accurate. Pictures are dated so keep that in mind. It's a beach house so expect some wear. No central air which was an issue one hot night but plenty of fans and 2 of the bedrooms had window AC's. Otherwise, the ocean breeze kept the home comfortable. We had 12 people staying, 6 of them children 6 and under. Plenty of room to isolate kids from grownups :) Overall, it was a great trip! We would definitely come back!

Million Dollar View!!

This 2nd & 3rd floor unit is located and offers accessibility features with a stair rider, a bedroom and full bath on the primary (2nd) floor level. My elderly mom loved/needed the stair rider, grab bars and seated shower on the main floor and the electric reclining chair. THE VIEW!!! This property has the feel of walking into a multi generational summer home with a variety of décor styles and feels very lived in. We loved that the dining table and comfy chaise loungers face the ocean as that VIEW is EVERYTHING!

You pay for the location

Location was great. That's about all I can say. Carpet throughout was dirty, smell in the stairwell, everything was damp, mold in the upstairs bathroom, major ant problem. Owner was not the friendliest.

Perfect location, Run down Property

Location cannot be beat, directly on Wells Beach and walking distance to Wells town beach amenities (arcade, coffee, ice cream, shopping). However, the property was quite run down and not as nice as it appeared in the photos. Lots of general maintenance and updating is needed, to the point where the rain leaked into the master bedroom and made it unusable. Many of the windows either don't open or don't shut. While the owner was responsive to our concerns, we overall did not feel it worth the price in that respect.

Great location on Wells Beach

The location was great ,the size was great . There was no fire pit no chase lounges no "beach chairs" it would have been nice to have more windows open , I'm glad it wasn't humid at night. The house could use upgrades for the price.

Amazing location and great host

We were looking for a place to spend some family time, play games and take long walks in the beach over Thanksgiving. This home was perfect . We were welcomed by a Fall flower arrangement and a bottle of wine. We loved sitting in the comfy chairs reading or sitting at the table drinking morning coffee while looking out at the ocean. bedrooms are simple and beds were comfortable. There is plenty of indoor hang out space We used the outdoor gas fireplace which was fun. There was also an outdoor fire pit with wood. I totally recommend, you won’t find a better place right on the beach.

Rustic accommodations. Relaxing place to spend a vacation. Down a flight of stairs to the patio, and then 10 steps to the beach from there.

We had a wonderful week at this property. The sunrises were spectacular and the beach was perfect.

We had lots of family throughout the week and we had plenty of room. Had to contact Kathy and Matt a couple times but was able to with out a problem. The property was perfect for what we needed. The only thing I would say that wasn’t communicated to us was we only need to bring linen not comforters lol. Aside from that the place was perfect. Thank you to Kathy and Matt for a wonderful vacation!!! Oh and the pie was very yummy....😊

Highly Enjoyable Week.

Having the beach in our front yard was amazing as was the view from the breakfast table. I have 7 grandchildren and getting packed up for a day on the beach has never been easier. The arcade, playground, candy store and ice cream are all within walking distance. We loved it there and the owners are very accommodating.

Great Place, Great Location Great Vacation!

My WHOLE family could comfortably fit in this spacious BEACHFRONT house and it was great being altogether from breakfast through late night walks on the beach. This was truly a find for us and we'll be back next year. And the year after.

Nice location- nice vue in livingroom-space for everyone- easy access to services-

Negative points: -shower curtains discusting with molds -shower light first floor not functionning -broom rack about to fall so my father had to put skrews. -unstable not safe outside metal ramp temporarly reenforced by my father -sharing the yard and tables was a surprise and never mentionned before -tape around windows -patches on ceiling -2nd neighber loud music all day(cousins house)

Location, location, location!

You can't beat the location of this rental. Directly on the beach in Wells. Plenty of room for all 10 of us. We stayed in 2013 and was pleasantly surprised by the upgrade to queen beds this time. Some things are a bit dated but who stays inside with a place on the beach. Very happy with the rental.

Awesome girls weekend away! Plenty of room for 13+ of us. So nice to all be in one space!

60th birthday celebration for a friend. Girls weekend away. Amazing view on the beach. Friday night we had limo pick us up and bring us to Ogunquit, Saturday went back to Ogunquit shopping. Saturday night Dining by Design came and cooked us a surf and turf dinner, karaoke and cards. Best part was we were all together, no hotel rooms. Epic weekend, great off season rates. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we will be back!
