One of a kind, estate property near 4 beaches in Southern Maine . 6/10th of a mile walk to Drakes Island beach, this Laudholm Farm abutting property is truly one of a kind. This house is comfortable for a range of people and is perfect for multi-family vacations, weekend getaways and private retreats. Within the 6000 square foot house, you'll find features such as: a large chef's kitchen along with planned seating to comfortably host all guests staying in the house. 30 foot ceilings in the great room with cozy reading nooks that overlook the vast open space of the great room. The deck overlooking Laudholm Farms comes with new patio furniture, tables for outdoor dining, lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun and night lights for evening enjoyment. The house features spacious bedrooms along with split duct air conditioning and heating units and adjacent bathrooms for each of the bedrooms. The master bedroom is designed to be a private get-a-way. This space features a Jacuzzi tub, large vanity, small wet bar, seating area, a pull out sofa bed, a king size master bed and a large closet.

This house is so unique that the fully finished lower level is designed to be a kids dreamland. The lower level features a small arcade, a full home theater with complete AV hookup's (through wireless connection), a gym equipped with cardio machines and free weights as well as a fully functioning office.

This house is designed to give our guests an all inclusive stay with the amenities you would expect on a luxury vacation at the beach. Little things that make this property special, outside of it's incredible custom detail are the 800 thread count linens, Martha Stewart towels, Ralph Lauren pillows, state of the art audio visual set up's, new furniture purchased just for this home, fully equipped custom kitchen, and plenty of entertainment for a large party. House only sleeps 16 people

Wonderful home lots of space I had 14 ladies for 60th birthday some stayed the 4 days others left after 2 days so many things to do or just hang out & enjoy the home & yardā€¦.it was more than I hoped for. Very happy vacationers

Amazing house for our family vacation. Space for everyone and room for the whole family to gather comfortably. Beautiful house, the pictures donā€™t do it justice. Great location, quiet and private. It was also great there were already infant/toddler travel cribs, booster seats, and other stuff for my 2 yr old so I didnā€™t have to worry about traveling with those extra items.

Something for everyone!

The property is novel in that it includes a gym area, an arcade, and a theater room. The youngsters in our group especially enjoyed the theater! The kitchen provided all the utensils, dish ware and pots and pans that one could need. The outside yard was spacious, and we set up a volleyball net (our own) which was fun. I would recommend this rental to anyone!

What a great experience!

When you walk into the house, you are stunned by how accurately the pictures portray the beauty of the home. It is easily the cleanest VRBO home weā€™ve ever stayed in. Communication with hosts Sharon and Rebecca was excellent. They were very supportive throughout our stay. The check in and check out process was effortless. My younger kids loved the video games in the lower level arcade! The older kids enjoyed the jetted tubs. If you are a nature/animal lover you will love the backyard visits from the wild bunnies, birds and other animals. You are .5 from Big Daddies ice cream and a fantastic prime rib at the Bull and Claw. This place has it all to say nothing of itā€™s proximity to various beautiful beaches. Trust me when I tell you, you wonā€™t regret staying in this ā€œbeautiful mansionā€ as my kids call it. If given the chance, my family and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our stay was excellent. The property was beautiful and featured plenty of space for our large group. Sharon and Rebecca were both very friendly and communicative. The home is in a quiet area close to the beach. We would suggest this to anyone.

Family Getaway

The house is absolutely amazing, plenty to do & see. Itā€™s wide open, clean-just beautiful. The mountain display & video games kept the littles entertained! The 15 minute walk to the beach was great; nice private area. The hosts were very good at letting us know they were there whenever necessary. Checking was easy; everything went smoothly

Magnifique endroit, plutĆ“t tranquille. Avons Ć©tĆ© accueilli par Sharon. La maison est immense. Beaucoup dā€™espace. TrĆØs bien Ć©quipĆ©e du cĆ“tĆ© de la cuisine. Les chambres et tous les espaces sont bien meublĆ©s, la literie est de qualitĆ©. Maison lumineuse, beaucoup de grandes fenĆŖtres et bien situĆ© dans une rĆ©serve naturelle. Une route pĆ©destre vous amĆØne vers la mer en 15-20 minutes, sinon en 10 minutes en voiture. AccĆØs Ć  quelques Ć©piceries et Ć  plusieurs restaurants a proximitĆ© (Wells ou Kennebunk). Sharon est restĆ©e disponible pour rĆ©pondre Ć  nos questions tout au long du sĆ©jour. Les indications et consignes sont claires. Great Potential; Left us feeling disappointed

The pre-arrival interactions with the owners were great including when they notified us that one of the showers would not be available. One of the owners met us at the house and showed us around, she brought us some homemade jelly as an apology because the shower was out of order. We have rented many homes over the years and this is my first less than stellar review. I was perplexed over some issues with this property including a lack of basic supplies such as spices (though the listing said they were included), and the limited stash of toilet paper and garbage bags. Asked the owner where to find garbage bags and she said normally renters brought their own. There was no information that we'd be required to provide these things and never have I ever been asked to when renting a home. During our stay we dealt with a recurring issue with mice. I notified the property owner after the first "visit" and she mentioned the house was serviced by Orkin and offered antibacterial wipes to clean up the droppings. We notified her of subsequent issues but there was no offer to remedy the situation with a visit from pest control or other suggestion. We had to keep our food locked up in coolers and/or the refrigerator to protect from the mice. We attempted to use the gas grill and, prior to putting any food on it, it caught on fire and we had to use a fire extinguisher to put it out. There were bright spots for sure but we would not consider returning to this property.

This will be a house we always remember! The pictures do not do justice. All the furniture and bedding were top of line, you could tell the host made our comfort a priority. So much space to spread out with a large group but still felt cozy and posh. We will definitely stay again!

Unique and Amazing House

We stayed in mid February, three brothers and their wives for a short winter getaway and to reconnect. The host, Sharon, met us at the front and gave us a tour of the house and everything we needed to know for our stay. This house was unique and unlike any other house we have experienced. The entire lower level/basement is set up like a cobblestoned street with store front windows with a theatre complete with a light up marquee, game/aracade room, living room, laundry room, full bathroom, and exercise room. The house was immaculately clean and comfy. Various areas to gather and relax as well as a large cook in kitchen with everything you need and several dining tables of various sizes to choose from along with seating for six at the counter top. The beds were very comfortable and clean, water pressure great with walk in showers. The home was decorated very nicely and great attention. The host was very easy to communicate with and very helpful and pleasant. We loved this house and would not hesitate to rent again in the future. Wonderful stay! We highly recommend it and plan on coming back!

Perfect place for a large group

Family and friends stayed here for a few days before and after my daughter's wedding at Laudholm Farm. Absolutely the perfect location and wonderful accommodations! Plenty of room for everyone -- open floor plan was great! Whole bridal party got ready at the house before the big event, which was fantastic!

Great vacation house!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this house during our trip to Wells this summer. The owners are very kind, friendly, and were extremely responsive to any questions throughout the booking process and during our stay. The house is lovely, and very comfortably accommodated our large group (ages 2 to 76!). It was also located centrally near the beach, great restaurants, mini golf, and other activities. our favorite part was the extensive seating available in the dining area, which was so helpful for our large family!

We truly enjoyed this magnificent home for our stay in Wells! The yard and hardscapes were great for all the young kids to play and the great room and kitchen/dining area was a constant hang out! The access to the beach is easy and the location in North Wells makes getting around a dream! Canā€™t wait to come back!

What a wonderful visit! Sad to leave Maine for the hot and humid south. We appreciate your hospitality and the accommodations afforded us during our stay. It was a most magical week/weekend for our family and having a home base from which to launch the wedding festivities at Laudholm, host dear friends and family, and relax at the end of each day made a BIG difference!

An excellent place to stay!!

Me and about 12 friends stayed here for a bachelor party. Every single one of us was OBSESSED with this house! There is a ton of space, a huge yard, and lots of beds & sleeping areas. Everything inside of the house is so nicely put together, you can tell that a lot of work has gone into it. The owners were very, very nice and super easy to communicate with. It is close to a number of different restaurants and other places if you are looking for activities. I would highly recommend this house to anyone!!

The most amazing weekend !!!

We just returned from our long weekend at this amazing home with our 4 children, their significant others, our 4 grandchildren and my husband's mother. To say we had an absolutely beautiful weekend would be a true understatement. The home has everything you could possibly want and very comfortably accommodated all 15 of us. The kitchen is so well stocked that if they don't have it, you don't need it! The master is something dreams are made of. And the overall comfort of the house is just hard to explain. I felt right at home all weekend and didn't want our stay to end. Rebecca and Sharon are consummate hosts and were always there to quickly help answer any questions we had. I could not recommend this property more! Thank you, Sharon and Rebecca !!!
