Charming House that is located in the heart of Muskegon's Bluffton neighborhood. Located across the street from Muskegon Lake and a short distance from Lake Michigan. The enclosed sunporch and deck on the 2nd floor offer a partial view of Muskegon Lake. A 12 minute walk or 5 minute car ride and you're at the gorgeous Pere Marquette Park Beach on Lake Michigan.

This is a 2 story house with 2 bedrooms (Queen beds), 2 bathrooms, and 2 separate living areas, (both have a Queen sleeper sofa). There's an additional bonus room upstairs off of the living room, with a table and chairs, that provide additional space for doing jigsaw puzzles and playing board games.
A completely screened sun porch upstairs with a built in bench (a perfect reading nook) and dual glider, opens up to a rooftop deck perfect for morning coffee and evening lounging. The deck is complete with outdoor furniture (sofa and 4 chairs) and umbrella, as this area gets sun!

A new Whirlpool High Efficiency Washer and Dryer located on the main floor (bathroom).
The kitchen is well equipped for your basic cooking needs and has a gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, new dishwasher, side by side refrigerator with filtered water dispenser.
Propane Grill just outside of the kitchen.

A well furnished home with a blend of new and antique finds, brought together with an attention to detail.

Love for the Orange House

Every little detail in the Orange house was carefully thought out and made for a relaxing and fun stay. All the little amenities like beach towels, smart TVā€™s, and plentiful dinnerware were available to make the stay carefree and just like home. The decor and furnishings were beautiful, tasteful, as well as practical. Would love to stay here again.

This was one of my all-time favorite vacation rentals. Clean, comfortable, spacious, great views of Muskegon Lake, only 4 blocks from Pere Marquette Beach Park on Lake Michigan. Perfect for rest & relaxation. Stephanie was a great communicator & made staying in the house for a week easy and problem-free. A great value for the price.

Amazing House. Absolutely spotless and very charming.

This home is well maintained, lovey decor and extremely clean. We did not have a single issue in the 4 days we stayed. Close walk to the beach, and the bike path. Location is key here, and this house was perfect for a beach trip. The host kept in touch via txt and she responded quickly. A/C was great, we had very warm days. Donā€™t hesitate to book this house for your next trip.

Gorgeous views

The house is very comfortable with 2 living areas, and a super nice rooftop deck for taking in morning sunrises! The house is tastefully decorated with comfortable seating throughout. The 2 bedroom 2 baths worked perfectly for 2 couples. There is also a nice sunroom on the second floor with awesome views. It was also convient to walk to nearby park, beach and lake. Such a nice quiet neighborhood also. Highly recommend. views

Sweet Stay

Nice property! Great location. Spacious and clean, fresh, nicely appointed. Very pretty views. A communication concern caused some distress, but was resolved with the host, needs to be more timely going forward. Front stairs and railing, upper deck rail have visible rot and maybe wasps in the eave on upper level.

Great Location, Great Weather

The photos are accurate--we knew our way around as soon as we arrived. Plenty of space for 6 adults to be comfortable and enjoy our stay. Most-loved feature was the rooftop lounge area, able to see across Muskegon Lake and watch the boats. Construction on the side road meant we had to take a detour to the Lake Michigan beach but it wasn't really a problem. Bicycling in the Muskegon area is terrific! Owner answered texts about any issues.

Muskegon Getaway!

The house was exactly what we saw in the pictures. It looked perfect and it was. Everything we needed for our stay including supplies for kitchen for cooking, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, an upstairs patio with a view and beside it an enclosed room to sit in if a little cool for the pAtio. Stephanie promptly returned our texts with any questions we had. Only a short drive or 10 minute walk to Pere Marquette beach and the beach was lovely. Huge expanse of sand and clean, clean, clean. Looking forward to next Labour Day weekend!

Perfect MI beach trip

We absolutely loved our stay at the orange house! Everything was well stocked and had all the comforts of home. The deck and sunroom are the perfect spaces to relax and enjoy vacation time. Short walk to Pere Marquette beach and many more fun things to do in the area. This house is so special! We loved Muskegon, canā€™t wait to come back!!

Charming home in ideal location!

We loved the ā€œOrange Houseā€! Beautiful and charming home with great views of Lake Muskegon in a great location. We stayed with my in-laws who are 85 and 82. My FIL, the 85 year old does not get around well and could not get up stairs to enjoy the view which we knew beforehand. He also struggled to get up the 5 steps together in the house, which we were concerned about. But if you are in reasonable health you should not have any issues. My wife and I would definitely stay here again if we get the chance. 2 days we saw a deer in the back yard. Every morning we had breakfast and coffee looking at Lake Muskegon listening to birds. The last day we got up early to witness a glorious sun rise. It was magical! Loved the ā€œOrange Houseā€ AND the location. We highly would recommend it!

Outstanding ..

We were here for a funeral/celebration of life. Perfect setting for reflection, and sharing JoyFULL memories.. family from spring lake , saranac , Nevada & Florida and my GRANDchildren live just around the corner . So easy to walk to the Lake for awesome sunsets . Everything we needed and Lots of extras in the house . Beds were all very comfortable , even the sleeper sofas šŸ˜“šŸ’¤ the deck was awesomeā€¦

We had a great stay at the orange house. Great location and property was very nice. Safe neighborhood and very close to Lake Michigan and lake muskegeon. Few hiccups were easily addressed quickly by the host. We would stay again!

This home is beautiful and spacious. I flew in from Arizona to spend time with my son and his fiancĆ© who are expecting their first child. My first grandson. The home was great for when they stayed over and did not feel cramped. The two living spaces were wonderful - lots of windows to let in the natural light. Exactly as described. Pere Marquette Beach Is literally about a 10 minute walk. Itā€™s a really nice beach on Lake Michigan. Hosts were thoughtful enough to provide beach chairs and beach umbrella along with cornhole. Sat outside in the evenings on the upper deck. The neighborhood was very quiet, the only cars were from residents who live there. Loved every minute of my stay!! This really is the perfect lake house.! Thank you.

What a place!

This house was so beautiful. My fiancƩ, brother, his fiancƩ and I stayed here for a long weekend for a friends wedding. It was a short 5 minute drive to the beach which we enjoyed twice. The beds were super comfortable and the house was clean. It was spacious with 2 separate living quarters. We will be back for sure!

Great house in a cute neighborhood with an amazing 2nd floor

This house is so great! My wife and I needed a change of scenery so we rented this place for a week and worked remotely. The house had plenty of space and it had everything we needed. The second floor on its own was pretty much perfect. We really enjoyed sitting up there in the evenings. The house is in a cute, quiet neighborhood and it was very easy to drive to downtown Muskegon or walk to Lake Michigan. The owner was very responsive when we had questions and they gave us a lot of other helpful information just before our trip. We'd definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone else!

Awesome stay at the Orange House

Our week-long stay at the Orange House was awesome. Communication with the owners was easy, and they made themselves available for questions before/during the stay. The location is a super close to Lake Michigan and a very nice public beach. The house was exactly as pictured, and we had everything we needed (linens, towels, cookware, and even a few delicious treats!) This space was great for two couples but there is definitely room to sleep more. Second-floors deck space was an fantastic place to hang out at all times of day. We would definitely try to stay here again.

I (Stephanie) was born and raised in Muskegon Michigan and have always known that our lakeshore is a special gem. After graduating from Michigan State, I moved to Chicago, where I met Dave. Dave grew up in the UK and has done his fair share of traveling over the years. When I first brought him 'home' to Muskegon, he agreed that it was a special place. Then my career moved me out West, but every summer for the last 10+ years we return for a visit, not only because my parents are still here, but also...nothing compares to a West Michigan Summer.
