Thank you for your review - delighted you enjoyed the house and village! Renters should also be aware that they do not need a car in the village, restaurants, cafes, boulangeries, shops are a 5 minute walk from the house. The sea is a 25 minutes walk away - there is a free shuttle bus, which runs from town to village every 15 minutes and and free beach bus, which runs in July and August. The town is well serviced with a train station and buses, which go to most places on the coast. Parking is always a little challenging everywhere on the Cote d'Azur in the summer months but yes, please don't forget that this is a medieval village :-) There is a paying car park in the village, some street parking, which is free and there is plenty of parking in the town below as mentioned - jump on the free shuttle bus back, which drops you close to the house or walk up the hill if you are feeling energetic ;-) Please keep in touch and hopefully we will see you another time!

As its name suggests, It is, of course ideal for those who enjoy cooking and entertaining as you clearly do - outside cooking areas, comfortable terraces with relaxing views, fully equipped kitchen, good music system - we hope all help to make your stay more enjoyable. We are delighted you enjoyed the house and village. Responding to your comments, we were informed about the worrying sound of running water throughout the night and that morning. We called your sister but she didn't know of anything that could cause it. She told us you were away for the day and would have poor reception. I am sure you can appreciate a potential leak can be disastrous for both the owner and current and future guests, so when the sound continued, we came to the property, accessing only the terrace in fear of an emergency. We found you had re connected the plumbing system for the pool, so that water was now flowing continuously from the fountain head - this uses old water and doesn't top up the pool with fresh water, which you had been requested to do at the check-in with a hose provided to keep the pool clean and to protect the pump from damage. We immediately sent you and your sister a text saying that we had discovered the cause of the gushing water and there was nothing to worry about. This is a small, medieval village, neighbours look out for each other - there is nothing as sinister as spying. A brand new air con system was installed last year, so I am surprised you didn't find it cool enough - perhaps doors or windows were left open? The wifi certainly works stronger in some parts of the house than others due to the thick walls of the old buildings, quite common in this village, but I don't recall complaints before. We will certainly check this out.
