Nestled among the mountains and trees is A Leconte Lookout, a lovely all wood log cabin overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. No winding roads or steep inclines to get to this gorgeous cabin with a view! With a completely secluded deck with hot tub and views overlooking Mt. Leconte, most every window has a mountain view to enjoy.

Upon arriving at the cabin, which boasts ample level parking, you will step up onto the covered front porch.

As you enter the cabin, the woody scent of the knotty pine and the views from the windows welcome you to your Smoky Mountain retreat.

Delight in the comfort and coziness of the family room; with its comfortable seating, sleep sofa, lovely fireplace, and charming mountain decor.

The cooks among you will enjoy our well equipped kitchen which is open to the family room and our outdoor grill.

As an added bonus you can unwind in the steaming hot tub on the back deck while admiring the beautiful views.

Waking up to the mountains every morning will never disappoint. The view from any room in the house is great, especially from the Master Loft bedroomā€™s King bed. With rustic hewn beams soaring above you, the mountains around you and in the neighboring room its own private Jacuzzi beckoning from beneath the sloped ceiling, it is a delightful world of your own.

When you return from your day of excursions our cabin is a wonderful oasis for you to enjoy and socialize. Envision coming home to the cabin after experiencing the beauty and splendor of the Great Smoky Mountains. The glow of the fireplace casts a dreamlike ambiance. Surrounded by your friends and loved ones, you sip hot chocolate or your favorite refreshment while you reminisce, laugh, and reconnect. This is where memories are made.

We want our cabin to be a place for you to relax, rejuvenate, and renew your spirit. This is your vacation. With you in mind we designed A Leconte Lookout as an affordable and comfortable retreat. Weā€™ve included modern amenities so that your experience will be carefree and enjoyable.

The cabin is in a prime location, easy to access (no winding roads), yet secluded, situated 2 minutes drive from the Gatlinburg Arts and Craft Community and only minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg, the Great Smoky Mountain park, Pigeon Forge and the new Rocky Top Sports Complex. We also have a trolley stop 2 minutes walking distance from the cabin.

Great Cabin for Getaway!

We booked this for our tenth anniversary trip and loved the cabin. The cabin was clean, in a great location, and had great views of the mountains. The check-in and check-out process was so easy and the host was very good with communication!

Relaxing weekend

We stayed at this adorable cozy cabin for 3 nights and it was exactly what we were looking for! Hidden in the beautiful mountains and private but still close to everything which was really nice. We would definitely recommend and we would stay here again!

Beautiful view

Our stay was fantastic. The cabin was beautiful. Perfect for a couple to stay. The views from the back of the cabin were awesome especially in the morning on a cloudy day. The clouds directly above the mountains gave it their name. We loved the authenticity of the rustic walls of the cabin to the views of the mountains outside. Totally enjoyed our stay!

Great views, location, and hostess!!

We had a fabulous time at this cabin!!! The communication, responsiveness and kindness were top notch! We found the cabin exactly as described, and great for the two of us! We are familiar with the location, and had driven by the house before, so knew weā€™d have a great view!! The location was perfect for us as many local restaurants and shops we enjoy are nearby as well. The school is down the road and there are other homes nearby, so while you may hear noises floating to the deck, you definitely have personal privacy as you sip coffee watching the sunrise, watch the rain, enjoy the view from the table and chairs or the hot tub. We had a fabulous time and would not hesitate to book again!!! No question on the five stars or why such a great rating!!! Here are some photos of the view from various times of day and weather!

Fantastic Stay in the Smokey's!

Exceptionally cozy cabin, just perfect to two. We loved the jacuzzi, pool table, amenities, and the amazing views from the desk and upper bedroom. Well appointed, easy access, and just far enough away from the busy downtown area. We loved our stay. Fully met expectations for the cross-country trip that we made. Would highly recommend!

Great stay!

My husband and I took a couple of days away for Valentine's day and this cabin had everything we were looking for. Ease of drive (because it had been snowing the day before our trip), mountain views, pool table, hot tub, and Wi-Fi. Check in was a breeze and communication with Adriana was wonderful! Definitely recommend!

What a wonderful getaway. Pizza place was good. Breakfast was excellent. And a short drive to the state park n trails. Only down fall was juxbox wasn't working. Other than that a very nice place

A Lovely Getaway for Two

We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary here. Probably one of the coziest places we've ever stayed. You could just feel all the stress melting away. The cabin was very clean and the location was good for Smokey Mountain adventures. Let's not forget to mention those views! We cannot wait to visit again.

Short and cozy

The cabin was very clean and "cozy". Wonderful spot for a couple. The bedroom is up in the upstairs loft area where you can see over the railing down to the living room and pool table, which we loved. Very open layout. We didnt use the hot tub or the kitchen but the tub was inviting and the kitchen looked ready to go. The view off the back deck is beautiful. If I had to name any negatives it would be the closeness of the road. Its closer than apears in pics and it is kinda sharing a driveway. None of that was an issue though. You can look on google maps and see exactly all that, so it shouldnt be a suprise. Also, a little tree trimming off the back could open up the view a little better maybe. And only about 10 minutes to the Gatlinburg attractions. Overall we loved it and would definitely stay again.

10 year anniversary

We stayed a long weekend for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Close to downtown to explore and then back to the cabin to relax in the hot tub and take in the view. The ONLY thing that would have made it 100% perfect is if the gas fireplace worked, other than that we would book again in the future!

Sweet and Sour

This cabin was a perfect size for us, a couple in love. We were a little disappointed it was so close to a school and sports park. We heard all the commotion from large cheering crowds. It was nice to have such an easy drive to the cabin but that also meant hearing trucks going by. The host was great tho! This year we wanted to relax in the rental more. If we were out and about more I doubt these noises would have been as annoying.

We are new owners of the cabin as of July 2019. We chose this cabin to purchase because it has lovely views, a modern kitchen, a clean open floorpan and a very dreamy loft upstairs with gorgeous hewn beams which were really striking. We really fell in love with the lofted look of the upstairs, how it's almost like you're in an attic with this giant tub and all these surrounding windows that give views wherever your eye lands. That sold us on the place. We hope you enjoy it too!

Our cabin has these unique benefits:
1- VIEWS!!! Secluded deck has views of the mountains with no neighbors staring at you. It's you and the mountains. :)
2- Easy access. No winding roads, and directly off a residential street.
3- Great location. 10 minutes to everything in town.
4- Gorgeous lofted bedroom with a room just for the jacuzzi tub. How's that for decadence.
5- Great cleaning staff. Our cleaner is the best and he is very attendant to details.
6- A history of guests who love the place. The cabin has a 5 year history of great reviews!
