We are across the street from the entrance to the Potomac River and the C&O Canal’s towpath, where you can go for hikes and bike along the water. We offer guests a bike rack filled with 6 bikes at your disposal. The towpath/bike path is 250 miles of Federal park land that will take you all over the Washington area and will connect you to downtown DC, downtown Bethesda, and scenic destinations like Mount Vernon. We are a ten-minute walk to the Irish Inn and the Glen Echo National Park where activities might include festivals, art shows, children’s theater, a merry-go-round, and weekend ballroom dancing.
The newly renovated apartment is on the ground floor of our single-family home and sits on ¾ acre lot surrounded by trees and overlooking a garden and pond. It has its own private entrance, and free private parking for two cars. There are two bedrooms - the master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has two queen beds and a 43 inch TV. There also is a pull-out couch in the living room that provides additional sleeping options. The kitchen features brand-new appliances and a large table that seats eight. There is a separate washer/dryer, and a modern, updated bathroom. The separate living area is bathed in light from large picture windows, and where you can relax and watch television on the 65-inch smart TV.
