Wonderful accommodation in Kauai. The balcony & view is the best part of this location. Poipu beach is a close drive away, and to the right of the condos is a small amazing beach for snorkeling.

Ocean views in Kauai

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good clean unit. Oceanview! Sunrise side of building. Snorkeling at your doorstep. Would be great to have a couple of hooks or places to dry towels. Boogie boards would be great as well. Tried to contact property managers with no luck, but ended up not needing to. Overall, nice condo with views.

Serenity with a view

It was extremely relaxing, comfortable, as well as accessible to several beaches, the only little issue that occurred there wasn’t enough toilet paper, but that was remedied by going to the store, and purchasing that particular item, other than that everything was AAA five star rating..

Mahalo for your review, Kamal! Please note that, as with most vacation homes on Kauaʻi, we provide a starter kit with cleaning and paper supplies as a courtesy. Guests are expected to purchase more as they see fit.

As Described

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great stay. The photos are reliable and describe the view well. The small cove just to the west is full of fish and has relatively easy access into the water. Parking can be tight after dark on a weekend. A larger dining table would be an improvement. Very pleased overall.

Great Location! Could Use a Few Update.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location is awesome. The property could use some updates, especially in the bathroom. Showering was our least favorite part of every day because the shower was so old. With a few simple updates, this could be a five-star property. The view is fantastic, and we saw turtles in the bay every day. There is a power pole next to the balcony but that didn't bother us. The rental comes with two beach chairs, an umbrella, and an ice chest. I didn't see this listed in the property details, so I made a reservation to rent these times. I was pleasantly surprised to find them provided.

Mahalo for your feedback! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found the location and views to be fantastic, especially with the daily turtle sightings in the bay. Your note about the bathroom and the shower is helpful, and we will certainly consider updates to improve the overall guest experience. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to welcome you back in the future!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wake up to this amazing ocean view every morning! Watch the turtles swim along the rocks. Sit on the lawn and watch the sunset and the surfers on the other side of the building. Walk to the beach. This is our 4th stay in this building and it's because of this location. The condo was great, the management co was responsive. If you are expecting the Ritz Carlton(and Ritz prices),this is not it. It is a nice, comfortable, clean, condo with amazing views!

Great trip!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great! The condo was very clean and well stocked with everything that we needed for our stay. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Best news was that the AC in the bedroom and the separate unit in the living room WERE GREAT! We turned the units off when we left and they would cool the rooms very quickly upon our return. The balcony overlooked the water and was very nice. The unit could use another chair as we had to move one of the two dining chairs over to the desk to be able to do any work and then always scoot it back to eat. The room was very quiet and we were there on New Years Eve when there were many firecrackers.

Kauai stay

The view off the balcony is beautiful. You are paying for the views with this condo. It is right next to a road which isn’t totally clear in the pictures. But the road isn’t that busy. Overall the inside is usable but the furniture and bathroom could use some TLC. The bar for towels in the bathroom falls off the wall if you breathe on it. There was limited paper towel and toilet paper which is usually provided especially considering the nightly rate and fees. The owner provided lots of sheets for the pull out but no extra blankets. It would also be nice if there was a broom.

Nice condo and wonderful view!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was nice and there was a wonderful view. We were missing a few items, but they were quickly replaced when asked for, except we asked for a baking pan and was given a box of snap ware. Not a huge deal though. The air conditioner in the bedroom was not working and was not fixed during our 9 day stay. The pull out couch was not very comfortable either, a little thicker of a mattress would have been nice so that you didn’t feel the bars or have a downward slant. The king size bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the kitchen and dining area.

Not as advertised

Unit advertised as “end unit”. From the picture above, that would mean one side or the other of the building. But, no. Unit is around the side next to a very busy road with lots of road noise. When on the balcony, just hope the sound of the waves overpowers the road noise. Can only sleep at night if the air conditioning runs constantly. And, the power lines for town electricity can almost be touched from the unit balcony.

Aloha Leslie, and mahalo for your comments. The home is indeed an end unit, as in the description. We are not sure why you think it is not, as it is located at the very end of the building, with another unit on just one side. A previous review described it as a "great location." We're sorry that you were not comfortable there, but please understand that we have no control over traffic on the road.

No Pride in Ownership Here

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We paid over $325/night for this condo and were extremely disappointed. The owners of this condo apparently are all about making money and have no pride in ownership. In short, it was a dump. The fixtures were cracked, the countertops stained, drawers missing huge chunks of wood, the faucet dripped, the patio furniture was broken and rusted, the bed very uncomfortable, the shower flow almost nonexistent, and I could go on and on. We felt like we were totally ripped off. We would never rent at Kuhio Shores again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kuhio Shores 401 was an absolute gem of a place. It had everything we needed, was very clean and view couldn't be beat. Loved being on the end, as our bedroom had a great view and cross breeze. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the family of turtles, then walking over to the Beach House for sunset.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second stay at Kuhio Shores, this time in a smaller condo. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. The best part is sitting on the balcony and watching for sea turtles in the bay below. Quiet, well kept, near many beaches.

Aloha, and mahalo for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and are sorry if you were not satisfied with the unit. Please note that this is a modest home, which we do not advertise as luxury accommodation and is priced accrodingly.
