One of the best locations in sunny Poipu Beach Kauai, Nihi Kai Villas Resort is just steps away from the Poipu shoreline and a little over 300 yards to world-famous body surfing Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park. The plantation style architecture at this small island oasis by the sea is surrounded by swaying palms, tropical flowers, fruit trees, orchids, and mature plumeria trees accented by well manicured lawns.

PARRISH PROFESSIONAL CLEAN – Built Upon the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) “Safe Home” cleaning program, we further expanded our existing high standard of housekeeping at our properties where hospital-grade cleaning products and protocols were already in use. Our goal by layering on the recommended new steps is to provide our guests assurance and peace of mind that when they stay at any Parrish Kauai property that every effort was made to ensure a high level of cleanliness, sanitation and disinfection.

The Parrish group - management company was top notch. Great communications prior, during and after trip. Very responsive to issues with unit (dishwasher under repair). Excellent location - in walking distance Brenneke's beach, Poipul Park, Green walkway through Poipu Kai resort to Shipwrecks.

Perfect location, steps away from beautiful sand beaches. Gorgeous fully loaded updated kitchen. Would suggest replacing the carpet made the unit feel somewhat dated but this was a minor issue. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends!Thank you!

Location

We loved the location of this property! So easy to walk to the beaches and the mall. The condo was clean and decently stocked but wished there had been at least salt and pepper in the unit for cooking. A cooler and beach chairs were available to use. There was a great fireworks display at Poipu beach new years eve! Definately recommend

We just got back from our...

We just got back from our honeymoon here. The place is well furnished, very spacious, and had everything. (except AC!) I am glad we booked this condo and not any resort there. It was much cheaper, much more spacious (2 bd/2 ba place for 1 couple!), and we loved the kitchen. (though we really didnt use it) This is a nice place and we wouldnt hesitate to return.

Nice property and people.

Loved our stay at Nihi Kai. Easy walk to Poipu Beach park. Very peaceful. Unit is well equipped and most everything works well. Exception is the hot water heater that had to be reset at least once a day or no hot water. Management was made aware so I expect they will fix it.

The property was great. Very clean. Great communication. Washer was broken, but was notified prior to arrival. Could’ve used it, so I was a bit bummed about it. But otherwise, I highly recommend this property.

Great Condo and Perfect Location

We enjoyed all of the amenities of the property. It was well stocked with towels and bathroom supplies. In addition, there was plenty of beach equip and it was very helpful to have a cooler as well as a wagon to haul everything down to the beach. Having coffee and filters provided was a really touch. The power went out on the island while we were there and we were so glad to find that the owners had even included 2 flashlights and extra batteries in a drawer in the kitchen. The air conditioning works really well and the upper living area gets a nice breeze in the afternoons. The best part is the location — walking distance from the water and beaches and amazing sunsets. Thank you!

Beautiful landscaping, very gracious staff, inconvenient not having a bathroom on the main floor

The apartment was very nicely decorated. I can see why the owner is so proud of his work on the kitchen. Great layout, storage and generous supply of pantry items and cooking equipment and utensils. The bathroom sinks and cabinets were well done too.The main floor is lovely and spacious. The unit is well ventilated but a small umbrella for the west facing lanai would be great for the afternoons...it would mean being able to open the curtains in the living room in late afternoon. Wondered why the mirror in the entry way was hung so high. I'm 5'6"but couldn't even see the top of my head.

Mahalo for your comments......to clarify a few things. Umbrella's are not allowed on lanai's ........The entrance mirror is a decor item, not a grooming mirror...it adds light reflection. We do have nice large mirrors in each bathroom

Unit required too much maintenance

During our stay, our hot water system failed 5 times, the washing machine broke and the bathtub faucet fell off. The management company responded quickly in each instance but clearly there were issues that had been ignored in the past. It was a major inconvenience. We are being given a partial refund on our stay, but will never book this unit again.

We are glad we were able to reset the water heater and teach you how to reset it as well, in addition to offer you complementary fluff and fold. Beautiful condo

I really enjoyed staying at your Poipu Condo, the condo was outfitted so well and so up-to-date that it felt like a home away from home. However my wife, complained about the lack of air conditioning which I failed to check when booking the location. This would have been okay if the fans upstairs were working okay, they were not. There are two fans on the upstairs level, one worked fair for most of our stay. By fair I mean it had a low speed but no high speed, on the last day it failed altogether. The second upstairs fan did not work at all, therefore the upstairs was only cooled by the trade winds. Now that the negative is out of the way, let me focus on the positive. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and is very up-to-date. Just about everything you can imagine was there so all you needed to bring was your food (staples were already stocked) and clothes. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The beds were extremely comfortable and even the sheets were first rate! The condo is a brief 5 minute walk to the shore that has beautiful sunsets, a park and some beach area. The grounds of the condo were lovely, we bbq'd some abalone we got on the Big Island prior to arriving on Kauai, the BBQ's worked perfectly. We frequently swam in the pool after long days of exploring the island. For those that do not know the Poipu area it is very central to Kauai and has lots to do in the immediate area, great shopping and dining such as Eating House 1849, lots of nature to explore like Waimea Canyon, the fun town of Hanapepe, the town of Waimea (visit Auntie Lilikuoi's), Salt Pond Park and other beaches and take the tubing adventure tour. If you want to just kick back and relax, the pool at the condo is relaxing and quiet. You really cannot go wrong visiting this island. Overall I recommend this location, once the upstairs fans are taken care of there is no reason to not rent it. Thanks so much for having us!

Thanks for your review. I am sorry to see that you had issues with working the upstairs fans. I had my property manager check both fans and they work perfectly. In addition, we do provide two portable fans to compliment the four ceiling fans. I do leave number for my on island rep and she would have been more then happy to come over and work out the issue with the fans. Mike

Incredible property for our family of 4!

We loved this condo so much that we seriously considered buying the unit next door that was for sell. The lanai had gorgeous views (especially sunsets!) and was comfortable to relax on or enjoy a family meal. The rooms were comfortable and adequately housed my husband and I and our two young adult children. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The TV had access to numerous streaming services. The air conditioning was nice. All the furniture was comfortable. We loved having beach chairs and other “toys” available for use (however, bring your own tennis balls as there were none to use with the provided racquets). The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The walk to the beach is short and we had access to fantastic food, a surf shop (best snorkeling rental around!), and fantastic snorkeling on Brenneke’s Beach. The sea turtles were on the beach every morning and the sunsets were amazing. My biggest complaint is that there wasn’t a full-length mirror (can that even be a complaint!?!). Our family highly recommends this condo, this complex, this location, and Parrish Kauai! Mahalo!

Great stay

Wonderful, well appointed condo. Easy walk to the beach, ample parking, comfortable beds. We had a great time. Only suggestion would be to provide a map prior to arrival for those arriving after hours, we had some difficulty finding the unit and had to call the emergency line at 1am to get help finding it. The lady answering the phone was very nice and helpful and explained to us how to get there, and once we arrived in the room there was a map. Maybe send it in the welcome email (if I missed it, my apologies). I felt so bad waking someone up. Overall fantastic stay. Would definitely return. Communication with property management was excellent.

Great location and comfortable

Overall this was an excellent location and a great property to stay at. Quick access to the beaches and restaurants, and my kids loved having the pool a few minute walk away. The property was clean and whenever we had a question, the management responded quickly. The only drawbacks were the lack of parking because of the construction. We never had any issues with noise from the construction, so that was good, just less space to park because some of their lots were closed. Also there was a terrible smell of septic at the pool on a few days. We asked about that and were told it is an issue on the island, especially with old septic systems. It happened maybe 4 of the 10 days we were at the pool. Besides that I would recommend this location, and we would stay here again!
