Featuring a prime location in the notable "golden blocks", the cottage is half a block to the historic downtown Main St! With shopping, dining, tasting rooms, the world famous Nimitz Museum, and town square all within walking distance, there isn't a better location in town! Amenities include a brand new private sundeck and lounge area, king bed, private parking, free WiFi, and much more! This property also features all new updates and renovations, including designer furniture and finishes, and a brand new bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower.

The interior features a king bed, a kitchenette with a coffee station, a seating area with flatscreen TV, and a beautiful, newly renovated bath with walk-in shower, all featuring the perfect balance of form and function. Outside, there's a private sun deck with a seating area, perfect for evening get-togethers or catching some rays.

Behind the cottages is highly coveted private parking, exclusively for guest use! Guests can also walk right to the back door of the Elk Store Distillery, or Auslander's Biergarten! Both are local favorites, known for their exceptional beer and liquor selections. This unique feature of the property lends a true speakeasy element to your stay.

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, spiders, scorpions, beetles, mice, or flies.

The location is great, with a super comfy bed and a really nice outdoor area. The bathroom and AC unit could use a little TLC. Having off-street parking was a big plus, and the host was excellent with communication. It’s a great spot for a weekend getaway.

Great getaway!

This house was the cutest and coziest place to stay! It’s a really close to a lot of great places on Main St. the only downside is be aware that if you drive to go to dinner, people going to the bar out back might park in the guest parking.

Everything was great, me and my husband had a great time staying at the speakeasy cottage # 2. The only thing I would say needs attention is the shower, water pressure is low and water goes every where, but everything else was great. Would stay here again and would recommend to friends and family. Sorry for the late review. Thank you

Cute cottage and perfect location

We were disappointed to see the hot tub was covered when we arrived. This was a search filter when choosing a place to stay. Location was great and inside was clean and pretty. Cottage should have been stocked with enough toilet paper and bath towels for 2 people to stay 2 nights.

Great place to get away!!

Wife and I spent 2 nights in this little one room cabin just a block off Main St. This location was quiet but also provided access to nearly everything in Downtown Fredericksburg. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was just enough room for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable, there was a spacious shower and a hot tub in the fenced in area just outside the cabin. This trip was to celebrate our 10year anniversary. The cabin is great for couples who are just looking to get away but not be far from all the activities that are available in town.

Great Location

The stay was overall great. I was a little surprised at the size of the place, but it ended up being perfect because we were rarely there! It was a great location and only one block off Main Street. We initially booked this over other places because of the hot tub and when we showed up there was no hot tub. We were extremely disappointed because the listing still had it on the pictures and we were never updated about the change. Other than that, it is a great place for a couple that just needs a place to sleep after exploring the town and wineries!

Nice room, great bathroom, chairs are getting dirty. Need covers for outside chairs, starting to get mildew. 2 plates would be nice. Neighbor a bit noisy. Location is great. Do not like paying over half up front 2 months early.

Great location!

Location was great for access to all things downtown. Bed was just ok. Shower was just ok. We were looking forward to using the hot tub but were unable to because there were no instructions or information about the length of time it takes to heat up (which was unusually long). Reached out via text early and then had to call to ask for instructions. After 7 hours was still not warm enough to use.

Horrible bed & power washer for a shower

This place would get more star & be a decent place to rent if they get a new bed & replace the shower head in the shower! My wife & I rented this place for a long weekend to celebrate of 5th wedding anniversary. Neither of us could sleep in the bed during to it being broke down & completely sunk in, in the middle. Also thank God there was a tub we could use! Because I would compare the shower head to a pressure washer at a car wash! We are planning on many more trips down to Fredericksburg in the future. But won't even think about this place unless the bed & shower head are replaced!

Not what we expected

We were very disappointed with this property on our stay at end of November. Whoever owns this place should come and spend a weekend here to see the problems. It starts with a small "beach" of sand that has washed down driveway that you must walk through every time you come or go from room. After walking through sand, there is no mat at door to wipe your shoes, so you walk into room and any sand on your shoes is now on the concrete floor. This sand is next on the bottom of your feet whenever you walk through the room. Lack of lighting. There are eight can lights in ceiling. Four of the eight did not work. I assume this is for the "speakeasy" feel! HVAC filter was totally clogged. Not sure if it has ever been cleaned, but it is so clogged that fan can barely blow worm or cool air into room. (Tip to owner: Unit will last longer with regular maintenance. There is no table or stand for luggage or items. Everything must be placed on floor unless the only clothes you brought are on a hanger, then they can hang in the wicker armoire. Small dorm size fridge needs to be defrosted. I tried to place a blue ice-pack in freezer to keep chilled, but there was so much frost built up the nothing would fit inside. The bedside tables are stylish, but not functional, they are curved on both sides, so anything you but on them falls to floor. WATER HEATER: Not sure where water heater is located, but it was mid 40's outside and it took 5+ minutes for shower or faucet to get hot water. While taking hot shower, water would be hot for about a minute and then turn cold for a minute- back and forth. You had to be ready to step in and out of water when it was right temperature. Patio furniture was too dirty to sit in. Green mold growing on cushions, and dirt and grit on table. Did not use hot tub. It looked new because part of decking was not painted showing there was once a square hot tub there but has now been replaced by a smaller round one. Photographer did a great job making this room look bigger and better than what is actually there. The location is great-directly behind Elk Store and Winery". You can walk back door, weave through game room and bar and you are on Main St. Parking spot right behind room is great location, despite the beach your hav to walk through.

Fantastic!

We visited for my husband's birthday and had a wonderful time. The proximity of the Speakeasy 2 was perfect! The unit was quaint, very clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed the hot tub after a busy day of wine tasting and shopping. I was a little worried about the noise from the bars close by, but was pleasantly surprised!
