Olde New House is a sublime choice for your next Cape getaway! Spacious and centrally located within walking distance of Rockport's beaches, this property features modern amenities and a well-equipped kitchenette!

This apartment is located a short walk from Bear Skin Neck (Rockportā€™s scenic shopping area) and an easy stroll from the three town beaches. Harvey Park, right across the street, hosts a farmers market every Saturday morning until October 19. The Annual Rockport Jazz Festival runs from August 4-11 at the fabulous Shalin Liu Performance Center close by, where you'll find many other first-class performances as well. The Rockport Legion Bandā€™s free summer outdoor concert series at beautiful Back Beach runs from July 14 through August 25. Rockportā€™s LobsterFest and fireworks display will be held on August 10-11, and Halibut Point State Park has lovely walking trails for your enjoyment.

Comfortable abode, had everything we needed, owner was gracious to permit us to use her parking spot and backyard because she was out of town, we gratefully appreciated that! We wouldve been very happy regardless, location canā€™t be beat! It was spotless and have plenty of nice towels. We would book again!

Wonderful

Rockport is great, the home was bigger than I pictured. Spotless and comfortable bed, nice linens. And temperature well controlled. These are my priority needs when traveling. Owner was wonderful and generous. The unit has low ceilings, not an issue for us but could be for someone else. Highly recommend!!

Lovely accommodations

We had a wonderful time and the location couldnā€™t have been better. Had everything we needed. Crisp linens and sparkling white bath towels. Would love to stay again sometime.

Great apartment, great location

We stayed with our golden retriever over the holidays in this cute apartment. It had everything we needed and was cozy and bright. The location was perfect and we enjoyed all of rockport easily by foot. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Super spot for a Rockport weekend

The apartment was perfect for a weekend away. Close to restaurants, super walks, great for us and our dog. As in other reviews, the ceilings are low, but this is an old house and part of the character.

A hobbit's home

Adorable little apartment underneath a home. I believe a sweet little hobbit must have once lived here. The ceilings are low, my daughter and I are tall people so we had to duck in the doorways but not a big deal. Decorated so nicely, it's tiny but perfectly big enough to not have the hassle of tending to a large space. Location was great, across the street from shops and about a 7 min walk to the beach. Parking is one block away and we did not have any trouble finding a free spot. Know the entrance is on the west side of the home. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We liked that it was close to downtown and clean. We did not like the sounds coming from above or that there was no parking included. Additionally, the additional cost seemed to appear later as I do not recall that the total cost was included in the advertisement.

Expensive camping

Here are the notes I left for the Vacasa review: You were absolutely horrible to deal with!!! In the first 2 days of reporting problems, I received 10 - yes, ten - emails that you were sorry I was experiencing the issue and you would get right on it, was there anything else I needed. I did eventually receive one phone call, and by that time, we had figured out one of the pressing issues. Day three, checkout, and no one ever came to take care of the issues, despite the repeated "We will get right on it, is there anything else you need?" There was no notebook with info, only tiny, handwritten notes taped to potential problem areas. In the dark, can't see the one about the bathroom light switch/plugs not working, which was across the room from the switch. Bad wiring when the overhead light is controlled by a GFI on the other side of the room! Going to the bathroom at night with a flashlight - expensive camping! Overflowed toilet that had nothing extra put in beyond human waste, and no mopping provided - potentially nasty if we were not resourceful about taking mats from other parts of the house. No towels replaced afterwards. Had to search for bedding for the sofa bed. It was actually pretty comfortable, but one of the blankets (minky-like one) was quite smelly. Not enough blankets for chilly nights. Lack of helpful instructions (again, the comprehensive notebook that was not there) for using the A/C. No checkout instructions at all. There was a LOT more, out of room here....

Great location

This was our first time renting a vacation home and it was extremely easy. The home was accurately represented online and we had no issues at all with finding or using anything in the home. This house has a wonderful location right downtown, which was great.

Very quick stay in Boston

We enjoyed ourselves, as we stayed in Rockport during the rainiest day night. And there was no problem with the apartment. I did find the humidifier noise a bit annoying and my husband had to empty it quite a few times in the day. The property was very clean. I did wish I saw the sheets for the sofa bed or if there was written instructions as my son slept on the sofa bed on the first night With no sheets. On the main front door one of the small windows can be pushed opened as my son tested this as heā€™s a tall person and reach his hand in and unlock the door. For extra security I would have preferred to be able to lock the 2nd door.

Old House Rockport

Great property - perfect location...walking distance to everywhere! Small but adequate space - perfect for a couple. Pet friendly, which was a real bonus. The only negative aspect is that it felt very damp in the home. We were there on both rainy and sunny days and it was always just a little uncomfortable inside with the moisture. A small portable dehumidifier would be perfect for the place. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place and I'd highly recommend it!

Great Location

Perfect location to enjoy everything that Rockport has to offer. The place is decent size for a couple. Ceiling height is roughly 6'2 so if you are a taller individual you may want to consider that before staying here.
