Luxury Farmhouse In The Heart Of The Piemonte Wine Country

A luxuriously refurbished old farmhouse, built on the crest of a hill, in the midst of vineyards and woods. It is in Piemonte, in the earth of the wonderful wine region recently listed among Unesco World Heritage sites.

It is a quiet but cheerful place; the surroundings abound in charming landscapes, cultural attractions, the possibility to enjoy numerous outdoor sports, excellent food and wine.
Inside the house, on the ground floor, you can enjoy a comfortable sitting room and a welcoming dining room with direct access to the garden, connected through an arch to a fully equipped kitchen. Just five steps from the kitchen, is a roofed terrace/patio, the best place for sharing meals and rest in summertime.

The swimming pool, set in a panoramic position overlooking the vineyards, measures 3,5 x 20 meters, has a constant depth of 160 centimeters and is perfect for both relaxing and for swimming. The garden has plenty of space for sunbathing or relaxing in the shades.

On the upper floors you can enjoy 4 spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms, distinctively furnished with family pieces. Fabrics, curtains and finishings have all been chosen to match the furnishings. Bathrooms are characterized by personalized design and have been realized with high quality tiles and materials, not normally seen in rental house.

Casa Isabella is a beautifully restored farmhouse. Bedrooms and ensuites are huge and the living spaces are large and comfortable. A great deal of thought has gone into the interior design and it really works. The pool is massive and sparkling clean. The location is fantastic for exploring most of Piemonte, especially the wine regions of the Langhe and Monferrato. Alessandro and Monica are generous and very thoughtful hosts. Thoroughly recommended

Paradise in Piemonte

Fabulous holiday in the middle of Piemontese vineyards. Loved the house, the pool and the owners! The rooms are all unique and very tastefully decorated.

Great Location, beautiful design, wonderful pool, amazing view

We enjoyed our stay, we like the atmosphere and design of the house, it was comfortable and cozy. we would appreciate tough if there were more kitchen utensils and nets on the windows

Relax in the Piëmont

The house of Alessandro & Monica is actually a B&B that is rented out as a holiday home during the summer. The rooms are large with a beautiful bathroom. The kitchen, on the other hand, is clearly a bit smaller but has a large fridge freezer and a dishwasher. The oven is mini. The house is on a cul-de-sac. The swimming pool of 3.5 x 20 meters is beautiful as well as the view. The covered terrace is great. In short, we had a wonderful holiday with friends and family. As a base to Asti, Turin or Genoa, this is a great place.

Fijn verblijf gehad, genoten van het uitzicht. Goed om te weten dat alleen de zolderkamer beschikt over airco, op andere kamers ventilatoren. Dit is anders dan vermeld. Zeer vriendelijke host.

Heerlijk genieten

Wij verbleven bij Monica en Alessandro in een prachtige woning op een toplocatie. Fijne mensen die graag helpen waar nodig. Ruime woning met prachtig zicht en heerlijk zwembad. Vanuit het zwembad zicht op de vallei vol hazelnotenstruiken en druivenranken. Ter plaatse veel wandelgelegenheid, in de ruime buurt nog meer. Nizza Monferrato biedt alles, en zeker ook heerlijk en betaalbaar eten. Veel restaurants met eerlijke bediening en prijzen. Alba en Asti zijn vlakbij en bieden nog meer. Ruime omgeving is prachtig met E-bike en Vespa. Keuken van de woning is beperkt, koelkast te klein voor 8 personen. Slaapkamers ventilatoren, airco is beter. Enkel de bovenste kamer heeft die. De wasmachine bleek niet in de vakantiewoning te staan maar onze was werd gedaan door de eigenaars. Makkelijker kan niet. Prachtige vakantie gehad. Zalig!

Schönes Haus in Mitten herrlicher Natur

Das Haus ist sehr schön restauriert, mit liebevollen Details. Es ist in einer fantastischen Landschaft gelegen, ideal für Ausflüge in die Umgebung, zum Beispiel nach Asti oder Alba oder ans Meer ( nur 1h) oder zum Wandern ( es gibt viele Wanderwege in der unmittelbaren Umgebung) . Es gibt eine schöne Terrasse um draußen zu essen. Der Garten ist nett und der Pool sehr schön groß und gut zum Schwimmen geeignet. Einen Minuspunkt müssen wir für die Küche geben. Sie ist leider nicht so ausgestattet, dass man für 8 Personen gut kochen könnte. Es gibt zwar einen gut funktionierenden 4-Flammen- Gasherd, jedoch fehlt ein Backofen. Auch die zwei kleinen Espresso- Maschinen sind für 8 Personen nicht ausreichend. Erwähnt werden sollte noch, dass die Besitzer im Haus wohnen, was aus der Beschreibung nicht hervor ging. Es ist ein separater Eingang, und in unserem Fall war es auch gar kein Problem, weil sie selbst gerade im Urlaub waren. Aber es sollte in der Hausbeschreibung erwähnt werden.

Fantastisch verblijf

Prachtig huis, mooie slaapkamers en bijbehorend sanitair, een geweldige ligging en last but not least een fantastisch zwembad met uitzicht; wat wil een mens nog meer… niets toch!! Nou ja de keuken outfit is beperkt dus voor de uitgebreide kokers vraagt dit wel wel aanpassingen. De eigenaren waren enorm behulpzaam en hebben nog zorg gedragen tijdens ons verblijf voor kookaccessoires, waarvoor dank! Kortom voor wie naar een mooi (en rustig) gedeelte van Piemonte wil, is dit huis een enorme aanrader!

Fantastic Pool with lovely view

Nice stay in Casa Isabella

We have spend a week in Casa Isabella in Vaglio Serra (Piemonte). We were there with 7 persons, 5 of them were at the same highschool (1960). Every year we have a meeting for 1 week somewhere in Europe. It was again a succesful event. The casa was comfortable and halfway there was a cleaning and fresh towels. It was situates between wineyards and hazelnut trees. A swimming pool and terrasses: we have had a nice time. The nearby village Vaglio Serra (900m)has a good restaurant with fine foor out of the region. In Nizza Formenterra (5 km) is a big market on Friday. The owners (Alessandro and Monica) were friendly and given us good tips for things to do. We will thank them for verything. It was nice to be there. Roel and Tanja (and 5 others)

A spacious and well equipped house in beautiful Piedmont countryside.

The house, garden and pool were all of a very high standard. We enjoyed being able to swim in the long pool while looking at the view of the surrounding vineyards. The loggia was a great place to sit and have barbecues (the barbecue could have been a bit bigger but was ok). All the bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have good en suite bathrooms. The local village has a very good restaurant - only a 5 minute drive away. Its a good location and the Italian Riveria including Portofino can be reached in 1 and a half hours. Our host was extremely helpful and even let us borrow his TV to watch the England football matches! I would definitely recommend this property if you enjoy the peace and quiet of the Italian countryside.

Un coin de paradis au milieu des vignes

Nous venons de passer un merveilleux séjour en famille à Casa Isabella. La maison est un havre de paix et de fraicheur, décorée avec beaucoup de gout , ouverte grâce à la terrasse sur un superbe jardin plein de fleurs, d'arbres fruitiers et d'herbes aromatiques. La piscine surplombant les vignobles est idéale pour nager et se rafraichir. Le plus est definitivement l'accueil d'Alessandro et de Monica qui nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de bonne humeur et nous ont fait découvrir la délicieuse cuisine piémontaise. Nous recommandons chaudement cette adresse.

Lovely house with fabulous pool

We very much enjoyed our stay in late July/early August in Valgio Serra, with our 3 children and one set of grandparents. The house nestles in the hills just a few kilometres north of the market town of Nizza Monferrato. It is beautifully presented throughout, with a lovely terrance on the east side. The bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms are quite stunning, like a boutique hotel. Both the adults and children loved the salt water pool is which is fabulous, for swimming rather than just being an overgrown paddling pool and also enjoyed playing pétanque in the garden. Out hosts, Alessandro and Monica occupy separate apartments in opposite side of the property and were absolutely lovely temporary neighbours. They were both friendly and helpful but at the same time completely unobtrusive. The property was clean, in good condition and was cleaned twice during our two week vacation. Our only minor criticisms would be that the if you are planning on doing much cooking, that kitchen is fairly basic. We would not hesitate to recommend the villa and are already contemplating a return visit in a couple of years.

We are Alessandro and Monica Barattieri di San Pietro and we come from the city of Torino where Alessandro worked as a database designer and Monica was an architect. After living our first 45 years of life in a city, we felt that we needed to improve the quality of our life, and in 2008 we moved to this wonderful countryside and we love it.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We had the habit of resting and ‘recharging our batteries’ by escaping from city daily life and visiting quiet areas, where we preferred to find hospitality in private homes, rather than in large hotels.
This choice allowed us to really enjoy our surroundings and break away from everyday life.
Over the years the Monferrato area has become the most frequent and favourite destination for our excursions: the rolling hills, the changing colours and the wonderful cultural heritage, still little known. In these places we found dear friends who have helped us to understand the culture and the traditions of these places, which made us appreciate them even more.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The place, on a hill ridge between vineyards, hazelnut orchards and thick woods was great. The vicinity to a lovely tiny village and 4km from a town bustling with commerce. The very traditional feel and style of the building, that we preserved by designing and realising a careful renovation.
