South Padre Island Beach Vacation Condo

Sand, sea, surf, and sun get it all at south padre island. My unit is a on the 4th floor so you get a partial view of the gulf of Mexico and the bay in the distance, it overlooks Schlitterbahn water park, space x and is just a short 5 minute path to the beach. Inside my unit has beach theme with beautiful bamboo wood floor and tile, bright happy blue colors pull out couch furniture new t.v.'s and the condo does have wifi. there is a hot tub, Olympic sized pool and clubhouse.

The unit is comfortable and is a great vacation spot for families, spring breakers, couples, and people of all ages. It is only a short walk to the beach just 150 yards away.

Had a wonderful stay. Bob was super helpful with my questions, and quick to respond! Place was clean, had a kitchen full of dishes to use, had a good working tv and was a short 5 minute walk to the beach. I’ve stayed at Gulfview before, but this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with lodging on the island ! 10/10 recommend.

Great location!

Great value for a beach vacation. We stayed for almost 2 months. Had pretty much everything we needed for an extended stay. We would stay here again.

Starbase visit

Property was very nice with a good view south towards Starbase. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay to witness future starship launches.

Beach Get Away

Clean and safe. Nice and close to beach. Nothing fancy but would recommend if you want to go to SPI and use you $ for the trip and not just on a place to stay.

Great location!

Easy walk to the beach!! Loved the location! There were lots of extras such as rafts for pool, wagon, chairs, beach mats, etc. The only downside was that it was a little run down. There are some repairs that need done, but suited us fine for the price.

Perfect Getaway!

We enjoyed our stay. We got to see the Space X rocket launch during our visit! The condo had a perfect view of the launch. The owner had excellent communication. We will definitely be back.

From northern climate and place was perfect for what I was looking for. I worked from the condo and had no issues with internet the whole month I was there. I had zero complaints with the property.

Great place for the price

Bob was awesome, I love the staff at Gulf View we had a great time!! Bob's place was perfect for what we needed, a place to sleep, cook when we wanted and sit by the pool!! Great communication, and we did not have any issues while we were there. I must also say the utility company on the island is awesome, big storm came thru one night, 100MPH winds and the power went out. They had it back on in less than 12 hours. If that happened where I live I would be out for a couple weeks!

For the price you can't really beat it. Was exactly what I expected. Perfect for me and the wife to get away from home and relax. Owner was easy to communicate with. All the staff we ran into were super helpful and really cool people. Only problem we had was the air conditioning never worked the whole time we were there but at night it was cool enough that we could just open the doors and let the ocean breeze cool it off. Wasn't there much during the day when it was on the hotter side or it would have been frustrating having to deal with the issue. Had a bit of a problem with ants as well but not a major issue.

A bit disappointed

Fairly clean but dated facility. Old cabinets, appliances. Couch not comfortable to sit on; way too soft and no support. Same with bed. Looked forward to getting up in morning. Caused hips and back to hurt and normally I could hit a hot shower but water just warm. Tub/shower pan much higher than floor so you have to be careful getting out. You have to step down way lower than expected and could lose balance. View of Gulf and Space X as expected and good. One thing to be aware of is people love to gyn their car's engines all night which will wake you up. Access to beach was easy. No toaster. I had to fix toilet seat that was coming off. No batteries for LR remotes, so couldnt use the TV. It was ok as we just streamed on Ipad. Overall, a bit disappointing as we could have stayed for less at the Holiday Inn Express down the road and gotten a free breakfast. Just wanted to be honest about our experience; no upset

Affordable condo near high-end places, great for family and great for your budget

I stayed at this unit with my family (2 adults, 2 teens and 2 tweens) from Sunday to Sunday. Paid a very very low price compared to other units in the complex. I will admit this is an older unit. It’s not fancy but what I saved in money in rent, I rode horses on the beach and went to Schlitterbahn (right next door). If you want fancy don't stay here but if you want a clean condo with the necessities, this is the place. Your 4th floor patio overlooks Schlitterbahn so it makes good people watching. You share a parking lot with Schlitterbahn resort. Tended not to be too packed on the beach because there really isn’t a public parking lot so much less riffraff. Everyone that was there, was staying in a nearby condo. Unposted Pros: Doens't state anywhere but it does have an elevator. Laundry room on the 2nd floor which was great (Wash $1.75 and Dryer $1.50). Plenty of parking and the far parking is still super close. Since it shares entrance with Schlitterbahn, not just anyone can come into the parking lot. Internet: I think of every floor has OPEN free Wi-Fi but on 4th for sure which was great for the kids and their ipads. We had two boogie boards, beach chair and small beach umbrella in the condo. It was an extra we didn't even think about that really went a long way. Required bracelet for pool and they do check! Pool really is huge and everyone was grilling but still had plenty of grills and tables. You could always go eat in your condo. Cons – Really only commenting so you come prepared: The microware didn’t work BUT we cooked fresh everyday so no biggie. I just had to go and buy popcorn and a $10 popcorn maker! No mixer so pancake batter with fork. Cable mediocre BUT you shouldn’t be watching TV while on vacation! Communicated via email and keys were mailed to me. With my busy scheduled this was perfect! Had a great time and we will be back for sure next year in this unit. The beach is really pretty and stays shallow way out into the water so perfect for the kiddos. tips - Best day for Schlitterbahn is Mon-Wed these posting for Schlitterbahn tickets for $35 on Craigslist is crap. I paid the same price at the Marlin supermarket and at least you know they are real tickets. You must do the horses on the beach at 10:00am. It was Awesome. The dolphin watching overpriced but the groupon price is ok. Don't go grocery shopping in Port Isabel or Padre. Work going to Harligen or Brownsville if you are buying for a week.

Excellent Property/Excellent Property Owner Communication

Exact to the listing...this property did not disappoint. Very clean, well maintained, easily accessible. I had several questions before my trip and property owner answered those in less than 24 hours. Upon arriving, I got mixed up and could not access the unit but with a quick call answered on first attempt again the property owner answered. I recommend this place. The price point was great for the biggest holiday of the year. I recommend this condo.

Great location

The location is wonderful, you have small views of both the bay and the surf side, plus the water park. The access to the beach is really great. Check in was easy and the place, though simple, was great for our needs.
