This cozy woodland home with peeks of Long Pond is perfect for your next getaway. The single-floor layout includes a well-equipped, stainless-steel-accented galley kitchen and a dining area. The living room enjoys vaulted ceilings supported by attractive wood beams, a flatscreen TV, and beautiful floors - an ideal entertainment space for your guests. A private gas grill and an outdoor table set are ready for summer meals outdoors. This home also offers both complimentary internet access and a Roku to stream your favorite shows and movies.

Enjoy a romantic vacation in this small gem of a cabin with glimpses of the blue waters of Long Pond through the trees. Pond Hill sits at a slight elevation above the water and is just a short walk from National Park Canoe and Kayak Rentals, where you can rent a variety of watercraft to enjoy on the lake with its views of Mansell and Beech Mountains. Or, take a swim and have a picnic in the small pond-side park. There is also a boat ramp and a put-in if you have your own boat or canoe.

This place was in an excellent location and had everything you could possible need. It was extremely clean and we loved the little heater in the bathroom as well as the fantastic gas stove in the kitchen.

Just what I needed

Perfect spot for a solo getaway trip to hike in Acadia, paddle on the pond down the street, and explore the island. Very quiet, with a few entertaining visits from local wildlife around the feeder outside. Everything was perfect.

Perfect Weekend

This property exceeded our expectations. It was well laid out, offered the essential amenities we needed, and more importantly, is centrally located to all parts of Mt Desert. We would stay here again.

Lumpy Bed

The bed was awful. My wife and I spent 3 sleepless nights in this lumpy bed. Even the foldout couch, which we tried sleeping on instead, left us sore and tired. I would easily give this location 4 stars if the bed was upgraded.

Cozy little gem

This place was great - spacious for two and very clean. WiFi worked great here and the binder with information was very well put together (we appreciated that!). Short drives to NE Harbor, Bar Harbor, and Acadia... Everything was perfect. Thank you!

Great location very close to swimming and kayaking. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Doesn't have air-conditioning but didn't need it given the trees and cool nights.

Loved the location across the street from the lake. Traffic picks up early morning, but was quiet during the night. Place has everything you'd need, very clean and well equipped.

Bar Harbor and Acadia

Short drive to both of these places. Nice neighborhood with nice lakes. Canoes are available to rent nearby. Cozy and very clean!

Cottage by the pond

The property is very nice and convenient to Acadia NP - cottage is big enough for 2 but not for a family with children- full size bed is a bit small for 2 adults -there is really no view to the pond do to tress ( if they would be trimmed you could see the pond better)-close to Long Pond which has public access where one could swim or launch a Kajak -we enjoyed our stay and had a great experience with Vrbo

Cute little cabin

The place was super cute and very clean and organized. The only problem was my husband is tall and we had a hard time sleeping because itā€™s only a double bed. Probably I missed that in the description. I fell in the national park and we had to leave a day early (Iā€™m fine now), but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing with easy access to everything Acadia!

we really enjoying staying in this cottage. it was the perfect size and equipped with everything we could possibly need. the location was perfect and made it easy for us to rent kayaks and spend time exploring Long Pond right across the street. we were also close to everything we were interested in doing in Acadia NP. wish we could stay again in October but itā€™s already booked.

Dream stay

Bucket list to travel to Maine. Absolutely loved Mt Desert! The cottage was exactly as described. Very cozy. Very clean! Setting was beyond my expectations. Beyond amazed at everything. Definitely will be coming back!!

Great stay, perfect location

Beautiful little cottage, perfect for our 20th anniversary redo of our honeymoon. Kitchen was well stocked with dishwasher, stove/oven, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and toaster oven. Had all the pots, pans, and dishes/utensils we could want. There was a grill outside but we really didn't make time to grill. Bathroom was well stocked with all the towels and basic hotel sized toiletries. Bedroom has a full sized bed (with linen), serta sleep pillows, and extra blankets. There is plenty of storage to make this a home away from home. Location was PERFECT! Easy 15min drive into main Acadia points and Bar Harbor. Side yard is a beautiful section of wild flowers. Front deck and pathway are well maintained and beautiful as well. There's a Freshies gas station/deli up the road that was a great quick stop each morning. And a little mom & pop pizza shop a little further up the road that had great pizza! The ease of this cottage was amazing! Would definitely book again.

Honeymoon cottage near Acadia

The stay at the cottage was nice. The address is mislabeled on Google. We contacted the property manager asking if it was correct. The address situation is still not resolved. We felt it wasnā€™t too clean. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. General musty odors in cabinets, sheets, and blankets. The cottage was very damp even on sunny days. Towels were not drying. The deck, kitchen, and bathroom were all nice and updated and having the grill was a big perk. It was about 15-20 minutes away from anything on the island which made it easy to commute. We have the location as three stars because it was very close to major road.
