Unit 195

Our ABSOLUTE OCEANFRONT corner unit (#195) has a spectacular 180-degree view of the Pacific & Kona Coast. While relaxing on the lanai (patio), enjoy watching yellow tang fish floating in the bay, green turtles grazing on the rocks, the spinner dolphins leaping (typically mornings), and the humpback whales offshore (during the winter birthing/mating season).

Experience sunsets year-round and let the sound of the waves relax you. Our 1-bedroom (with new Cal King bed) plus large sitting room, 2-bath unit is fully equipped with everything you will need to have a relaxing and memorable vacation. Remodeled kitchen with new appliances. Free high-speed Wifi & telephone (Free Calling Within U.S., Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guam & The Virgin Islands.)

We are directly adjacent to a salt & pepper beach. At the far north end, lots of tide pools with critters & petroglyphs. At the closer south end, at high tide, if the waves are calm, then experienced & fit snorkelers (with a buddy, never alone!) can find a variety of sea life. However, if a novice and/or the seas are rougher, then the Kahaluu state beach (just ~ 5 to 10 minute walk north of our bay) is full of sea life and a safer location (with a protective ancient seawall & lifeguards).

We provide lots of extras: shampoo & conditioner, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, beach towels, snorkel gear, a cooler, boogie boards, & beach chairs, etc. This unit is surfside-immersed with extensive jalousie windows letting the sea breeze & sounds drift upon you as readily as the light of sunsets or moonbeams (ceiling fans; no air conditioning).


Location: Our townhouse is located in Keauhou-Kona Surf & Racquet Club, a private 16-acre gated community ~5 miles south of downtown Kona. The complex offers 3 pro-grade lighted tennis courts (with tennis pro access and a pickleball option; please remember to bring non-marking tennis court shoes), a large swimming pool, a volleyball court, BBQ pits & gas grills. The grounds are lush with beautiful flowers. We are also within walking distance to Kona Country Club for golf (reduced rates if a Surf & Racquet guest) and the Keauhou Shopping Center with grocery & drug stores, restaurants, movie theater, & a walk-in medical clinic….plus on Saturday mornings, visit their farmer’s market with local produce, Kona coffee, flowers, & fish. Our location is convenient to explore the Big Island or just relax near the sea!

We loved your home on the ocean! It is a convenient, safe, and beautiful location! We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. We spent every morning and evening sitting on your patio just listening to the ocean, watching/listening to the birds and the antics of cute little geckos. We loved the beach next to you, too. Great place to stay and our host was a very good communicator! Thank you!

Absolutely incredible stay. Beautiful corner unit. Sunset Views are impeccable. Away from the Hussle and Hussle of the town but close enough to all shopping and restaurants. 10/10 recommend this property. Host is incredibly friendly and responsive.

Great location, close to Kailua-Kona. Easy walk to multiple beaches and close to shopping, groceries, coffee, and restaurants. Nice setting right on the water. Good space for a couple, but probably small for a larger group. It was a bit dated and tired but was clean and well supplied. The views of the sunsets and the sounds of the waves were wonderful.

View from back deck was excellent. Unit is outdated. Refrigerator is too big for space. No live TV. Everything is streaming. Owner needs to upgrade to live tv. Otherwise comfortable bed and bedroom

Fantastic Location/needs a little TLC

The oceanfront location cannot be beat. Has all the kitchen and beach things you need. Beautiful artwork and comfy bed and linens. The unit is showing its age a bit and could use a little TLC, but no showstoppers. We would definitely stay again.

Great Place

Loved the location, privacy of the end unit. Absolutely beautiful sunsets, great pool/bbq complex as well. The host Maria was easily reachable and very helpful. A window unit A/C upstairs would be the icing on the cake but a wonderful property never the less. We will be back. Thank you Maria!

Amazing view

The view from here is spectacular. That alone would be reason enough to stay here, but there are so many more things to love about this place. The kitchen is well stocked, although it was too hot to cook so other than breakfast we ate out at the nearby restaurants everyday. We loved the beach equipment, everything you could need is here. We also took advantage of the pickle ball court available for guests. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning. We have stayed in hawaii before with only ac in the bedroom so I didn't think it would be a problem going without. However, I sleep with a fan on even in the winter so it was very difficult to sleep. That being said, I would definately stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to just chill and watch the most spectacular sunsets you could imagine.

Second Time Staying at this Condo

We love this condo. The remodel of the upper floor to an upstairs suite provides for amazing air circulation, views, and space. The condo provides everything you need, cooking utensils, starter items, etc. The view from the lanai is amazing and that's pretty much where we spent all our time. The unit is older and although it has been kept up very well, could use a little TLC and organization. But overall, we love, love, love this condo. The location is perfect and the "private" beach access is another great perk. Maria, the property manager is always available and responds within minutes to questions or concerns. Overall, the best place yet!

Beautiful View

We enjoyed the beautiful Hawaii sunsets while sitting on the private lanai. The condo is in a great location, with shopping and dining nearby and a 10 minute walk took me to a fun snorkel area. We had everything we needed and management was easy to communicate with.

Location Location Location

Older unit, but honestly the location to me was everything! Best seaside vacation spot if you love being outside & near the ocean. A lifetime of memories that I will cherish forever. This description of where it’s located & sea life you can see from the comfort of the lanai was 100% accurate. I spent 13 nights and it was a quiet, safe, and beautiful sanctuary to return to. Absolutely would book it again!

Not what we expected

The location was fantastic and Keauhou-Kona Surf & Racquet Club is a great property to stay at with friends and family. The townhouse itself however was not what we expected. We had read that it was older, but that did not prepare us for the state of it- there was literally tape holding things together. The carpet had a very musty smell, there was significant corrosion on anything metal and it was clear that not much has been invested in the property to maintain it. On our final day the garburator started to spew waste and a glass frame hanging on the wall smashed all over the bathroom when I closed the door (the door had swollen over time and it was very difficult to close, so the impact of closing the door caused the frame to fall). I cut my hand cleaning up the glass. I called the property manager Maria, who was very attentive to our needs and asked if we needed anything. She said she would pass the information along to the owners. I never heard from anyone.

Second Time!

This is our second stay at this wonderful condo. Having the Pacific Ocean at the back door is amazing. Laying in the lounge chairs and watching the sunsets, walking over to the little cove for turtle sightings and beachcombing are my favorite things!. There is a little ‘mall’ just up from the traffic light, a grocery, a bookstore, a post office, Tropics Tap House, Bianelli’s Pizza, a Regal Theater. We will definitely make a third visit!

wonderful views

very well put together and equipped property. incredible views of the water/cove. easy to get in and out of the complex. tennis courts and pool ++. construction on the park next door meant it wasn't available when we were there this time. but we will be back.

Great base camp for island exploration

We had a great time at this property. Everything you might need was there. The kitchen is well stocked, allowing us to cook great meals (thanks for the sharp knives! They seem to be a rarity in rentals). The closet had a full array of beach gear to swim and snorkel and the beach chairs and umbrellas were great. There was a cooler and water jug for all day excursions. The bed was comfortable. It was easy to get to any place on the island. The two minute drive to the shopping center was very convenient. Be sure to hit the farmers market there if you can. Lots of fresh produce. The pool at the property is great. Of course, the view is the highlight of the property. We saw the green flash every evening. Thank you for sharing with us.
