This is a spacious open cabin/mountain home. The spectacular view looks directly at the famous Black Rock Mountain State Park. Enjoy the views from the southern facing decks that surround the home, listen to the creeks as they cascade down the mountain as you kick back and relax on this 3+ acre property or get out and hike the mountain and visit the creeks and the many attractions in the Rabun County area.

This mountain home is a spacious 5 bedroom plus a loft that comfortably sleeps 13. The gas fireplace is available 10/1 to 3/31. The home is centrally located on 3+ acres and privacy abounds yet you're just 4 miles to the closest grocery store. Cell service is excellent so if you need to stay connected you can.

Linens, towels, wash cloths, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags are all provided. There is a washer and drying on the main floor, and soap is provided. Trash pickup is not available in the area so we ask that you take your trash to the Rabun Recycle Center. Location, and hours are in the Bear Creek Guest Guide.

This mountain home is beautiful day and night. We enjoy all the windows for nature viewing, and to watching the moon and stars twinkle during the nights. Access to Bear Creek is all on paved roads and there is no need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

If your group is 9 guests or more there is a charge of $10 per day per for each additional guest 9-13.

Excellent mountain visit

The property exceeds its description on VRBO. From the decor, cleanliness, comfortable bed everything was supplied for your enjoyment and comfort. Location is perfect for its mountainside view to its proximity to Clayton! We highly recommend this property not only for the home but for the graciousness and attention of the owners!

Great House and Location

We had a great stay, House has everything you need and easy paved road access. Rabun Gap is beautiful and Black Rock state park is minutes away, as is downtown Clayton. Highly recommended.

Bear Creek

Being very familiar with this area, this is the perfect Cabin for Family. We gathered for the 2023 Christmas holiday seven of us, kids grandkids and had a wonderful time. This cabin is well appointed, well located, and has wonderful views.

Amazing Stay!

This was perfect for us. We wanted a peaceful getaway with family and we found it! The view from the balcony was picturesque. All of the rooms were very clean and very well appointed. I heard no complaints from anyone about the beds and I know our bed was super comfortable. The host, Jay, was very easy to get in touch with and very accommodating and friendly! I highly recommend Bear Creek cabin!

Like Home

This was by far one of the best stays we have ever had. We were able to comfortably fit our entire family, our dogs and everything was so easy to use! The place was clean, the responsiveness from the owners was impeccable and we will absolutely stay here again! We have already referred this location to multiple friends looking to visit the same area.

Quiet and peaceful

My family and I had a great week at this house. Everything was as advertised but the house was more private than I expected. Scenery was gorgeous and the area teemed with hiking opportunities. The owner checked in helpfully but we had no problems to report. We would recommend this property.

Beautiful Home in Great Location!

Bear Creek was easy to access with the given instructions with ample parking and well paved roads. While there were a fair amount of steps to the main level, once there it was beautiful and just a few steps out back from several areas on the wrap around porch. Owners communicated to check on us and assure we were comfy. The home is centrally located to many area activities and attractions.

Annual Family Vacation

It was so nice! This home provided us the perfect getaway for our entire family. There's so much fun stuff to do in the area, or you can just hang out around the cabin/house and enjoy the firepit. My grandchildren loved the game room, as did my adult children. 🙂 Communication with the owner was seamless. It was a very nice experience, and i think we will be back in the future.

Secluded with amazing indoor and outdoor open spaces

Nice and secluded. Large common area with very high ceilings make it comfortable to cohabitate. Smart sleeping spaces are sure to accommodate your group. One thing to note, you'll have to drive (9 mins one way) your garbage to the Rabun Gap Recycling center.

Outstanding!

This is our second stay at this beautiful home. It is spacious, comfortable, and close to gorgeous hiking trails. The large porch is peaceful with incredible views. There is a spacious master suite and large open family living area. The hosts are attentive and easy to reach. They’ve gone out of their way to make sure that the guests have everything needed. Great experience!

Perfection

The rental process from start to finish was very easy, communication with owner was prompt and very helpful in planning the vacation. Would highly recommend this house. We had 9 mainly adults and adult children and not once did we feel cramped. House was spacious and the bear decor/ wood accents made it very homey. Perfect location for exploring different areas in Georgia.

Great week at great location

We enjoyed this property’s ambiance: sound of (and hikes to) running creek; nights around fire pit; cooking, eating and playing games on the porch with a view and a breeze. Soaring ceiling in living area, well stocked kitchen, selection of games and puzzles and smart tv made inside time relaxing as well. Location was convenient for beautiful drives to Clayton, Helen, Highlands and Black Rock Mountain State Park to spend time. A very memorable week.

Beautiful and perfect for entertaining

This home is beautiful and full of natural light. The open concept design is perfect for a family gathering. Full front porch area is great for relaxing outside for the morning cup of coffee and later for eating fresh off the grill. Will absolutely recommend and keep this property on the top of the list when visiting the area. Owners response was quick, with clear concise instructions. While we loved the creek trails and the thoughtful Christmas tree, our stay was marred by significant discrepancies between the listing and reality.Key Issues:• Restricted Access: We booked a 5-bedroom/4-bath cabin, yet the lower level (2 bedrooms/1 bath) was locked. We brought 4 children so the extra bathroom would have been great! • Cleanliness: Housekeeping was poor. We understand it is a pet friendly cabin however, we found pet hair on "clean" linens and thick dust under furniture. We spent our first day tidying up and doing laundry to feel comfortable. • Maintenance & Amenities: The dryer broke on Christmas Eve and was never fixed, despite promises of a repairman. The stove struggled to boil water, and the master closet was locked for owner storage, leaving us no place to hang clothes in the master bedroom. • Lack of Control: The thermostat is Wi-Fi locked, and there are multiple undisclosed cameras. While we don't mind security, privacy policies usually require full disclosure of recording devices.The photos are misleading; the cabin needs "TLC," fresh paint, and deep cleaning. We enjoyed the property overall but the lack of basic maintenance made this stay disappointing for the price. We recommend the host update their listing to accurately reflect accessible space and improve their cleaning standards. There also is no access to water by the fire pit area.

Great Property! Great Location !

We were only four and a dog but this place could easily handle an arrangement of 12. Beautiful home with beautiful view. Great property with outdoor fire pit, and trails to creeks/waterfalls on the property. Huge living and dining room, wrap around deck for lounging. 10 minutes to Clayton, Dillard House, Black Rock Mountain, and great hiking trails. And if you have never heard of Wolffork Valley, Rabun Gap, check it out. Ranches and pastures surrounded by beautiful Mountains.

We love to get away to the peace and quiet that we find in the Georgia Mountains. The beautiful mountain views, the privacy of just you and nature with no neighbors. The mountain home has so many windows we've nick named it the house of light! Sunlight streams in during the day and at night the moon beams cast shadows while the stars twinkle through the tree tops. Its a real treat to sleep with the blinds open to view the moon and stars.

This mountain home also has a yard to get out and throw a ball, or to play other outdoor games. The home has a backup natural gas powered generator to keep the essentials going if you should loose power during your stay.
