The area was beautiful and peaceful.

The area was beautiful and peaceful. The small cabin was beautiful and well laid out. Made excellent use of every space. Perfect amenities, and decor. Our only true complaint was how terribly uncomfortable and cheap the living room furniture was. Absolutely cannot stress how bad, and could not recommend the cabin just for that. You guys are awesome!!

Cartacay Getaway

The stay at the Romance on the Cartacay was wonderful! The cabin was clean and full of amenities including a swing, hot tub, and game room. I also loved that everything was there for us to cook meals! We loved the big windows with the amazing view and my daughter thought she was on top of the world in the loft! I felt like I could stare out those windows forever! During our stay we seen many deer and a black bear! The only improvement I could think of is having a ramp of some kind and/of hand rails along the steps that lead to and from the cabin as at times it was tricky to keep balance on the gravel carrying our belongs to and from. Otherwise, this cabin was amazing and the perfect place to stay on our passing through to Michigan for Thanksgiving!

Romance on the Cartecay more than lived up to its name.

Romance on the Cartecay more than lived up to its name. My wife and I came here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. This property was amazing. Michelle left a note about the features of the house, and it was very clean and tidy. The closeness of the river made sleeping very peaceful. It was soothing to listen to it at ALL hours, but put us to sleep at night. We were close to anything anyone would need if you forgot something. Plenty of places to go out to eat, and shop too. I discovered the Cartecay River Brewing Company on the trip, and absolutely LOVED my visits there. Next trip we will be visiting the Winery! Cannot wait to come back to this property before summer's end! Thanks Michelle, and Blue Sky for making this a WONDERFULLY ROMANTIC occasion for both of us! We will be back! I was very pleased to get a call on our 2nd morning, asking if we made it safely, and if we needed anything. It was a pleasure to communicate with Sherry. She was kind, and attentive. She made us feel very welcomed.

Amazing getaway from the city!

The cabin felt like if we were at home. I loved the sun shining in the living room in the morning with the delicate sound of the river.

Perfect For A Quaint Christmas

Loved how updated this property was. It was cozy with a lot of amenities. Not great for a large group, but beds were comfy and amenities were great!
