Location, Location, Location!! Marazul Dive Resort is a hidden gem located in Westpunt (West End), Curacao. Westpunt is home to some of the best beaches and diving on the island! The popular Playa Grande beach is just a 1/2 mile from Marazul. This beach is where the fishermen bring in their catch of the day and the turtles meander about waiting for the scraps! Come swim and snorkel with the turtles and take some fresh fish home for dinner! Also, only a 5 minute drive from Marazul is Playa Kalki where you can snorkel or dive what is called "Alice in Wonderland" due to its fantastic array of colorful fish. If diving is on your "to do" list, Curacao is the place to be with its vibrant reef that surrounds the island just 30-60 feet from shore. Many of the beaches have dive shops that offer boat and shore dives or just gear rentals if you prefer to dive on your own.

While the majority of nightlife and shopping is located in Willamsted, (21 mile drive), there are 3 very nice restaurants and bars just steps from the resort and more a short drive away.

This townhome at Marazul Dive Resort is 2-stories. Upstairs is a bedroom with a King size bed, a full bathroom and a large deck with breathtaking views of the the Carribbean Sea! The main level has a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, a gas stovetop, a microwave and a toaster oven. There is also a Queen pull out sofa and a full bathroom. The patio of the main level also has beautiful Carribbean Sea views!
There is hot water throughout, air conditioners upstairs and down and high-speed internet!
Enjoy the ocean view and the constant tradewinds from the outdoor spaces, or step out the front door and walk 200 feet to the Carribbean Sea edge. Stairs at both ends of the resort allow access to the sea for great diving, snorkeling or just swimming. There is a beautiful and well maintained pool and a gazebo for watching the amazing sunsets that happen every night at about the same time. Don't worry about the weather or hurricanes! Curacao is below the hurricane belt and close to the Equator and enjoys year round 80 degree weather....day...night...summer....winter....It's always around 80 degrees! Perfect weather here is practically gauranteed!

Fantastic Location, Comfort with a View

Comfortable, had all the amenities of home including a fully stocked spice rack, beach chairs etc. Comfortable bed, snorkeling and diving right out the door, and the icing on the cake is the gas barbeque!! A couple of great restaurants just down the road within walking distance. Overall a fantastic place.

Stunning, perfect in every way!

Condo was exactly as advertised, Randy was an amazing host. Truly get away from it all, this quiet community is very down to earth, relaxing and what I would consider true Curacao. Access to the water was perfect. Local area was nothing short of amazing!Condo itself was well equipped with everything you would need. Centrum was our best grocery experience. We really appreciated the beach chairs! Will be back for sure.

We have stayed several times in the Westpunt area and enjoy it because it is quiet and less “touristy”. We enjoyed our apartment very much. It was clean and well equipped for cooking and visiting the beach. The apartment was nicely decorated. The bed was good, which pleased my wife. The grounds are very well kept and the pool clean. The owner provided a lot of helpful information about the area and responded very quickly with our communications.

Perfect place

You can’t find a better place to stay. Everything is just perfect. Safe swimming just off the rocks, nice atmosphere, good restaurants and the nicest beach (Grote Kniep) in walking distance. The owner was always ready to help, though we actually didn’t need any support as everything was perfectly set. Thank you

Beautiful location

Perfect for a couple. Two steep stairs at each end of the property take you down to crystalline water perfect for scuba or snorkelling, or swimming like I did. Within a short walking distance there are at least three decent restaurants, reasonably priced. Compared to some of the other islands in the Caribbean driving is fairly easy. For an island, grocery shopping is very convenient and fairly priced. The house is surrounded by flowers, very well furnished, and welcoming. The owner was exceptional in his communication with us.

A Week in

My husband and I adored this property in Westpunt. Everything was as described, and Randy was wonderful to work with as he made sure we had the best time possible. The resort was very private, quiet, and beautifully perched above the sea. Snorkeling off the steps was very good, the pool was clean, and the property was immaculate. We met many wonderful people who were also staying there as well. The unit itself was very clean and fit our needs. We really didn't use the air conditioner downstairs as the cross ventilation and fans kept things pleasant. The upstairs bed was super comfortable, the upstairs patio had beautiful views, and we had plenty of space for our things. The steps are a bit steep leading up to the 2nd floor, but we just took our time. We appreciated the beach chairs for our daily beach visits. There are a lot of wonderful restaurants nearby, and the dive shop Go West Diving was top notch. I can't recommend this rental enough. It is absolutely perfect for a divers retreat!

As Beautiful as Pictured

This property was lovely. Immaculately clean. Kitchen superbly furnished - more kitchen equipment than I would ever want to use when snorkeling is calling my name. Lots of appreciated extras - loungers and cooler to take to the beach - even ice packs in the freezer. Randy thought of everything and his communication was instantaneous. My only difficulty was finding the property, then finding the right condo, in the dark. But Randy walked me through it. Stairs to the bedroom were not an issue, as there are very sturdy handrails on both sides. The pool was fantastic. I ate all my self-prepared meals outdoors to enjoy the view. There are no restaurants or dive shop actually on the property, but there are three great restaurants within walking distance and a dive shop as well. I used to always stay at Lagun, but my new go-to will be MarAzul. You are less than 10 minutes drive from 4 of the best snorkeling beaches. Would definitely rent again.

Nice stay at Marazul

The condo was clean, organized and faithfully represented by the posted description. It was perfectly comfortable for an adult couple, though I probably wouldn't stretch a group to more than a couple and 1 or 2 younger children. The grounds and pool were immaculate and welcoming. Other guests were friendly, but this was not a big party scene (which was good). We visited in early summer, so it was hot, but the AC upstairs and down kept things perfectly comfortable. An earlier review mentioned the stairs. They are fairly steep and narrow, but I have foot issues and had no problem navigating them with solid railings on both sides. (Just take your time.) The owner was amazingly prompt and helpful dealing with a couple of minor issues with AC and wifi. (Wifi is solid, though not remarkably fast.) Two sets of stairs at the oceanfront lead to the water, though I was disappointed in a lack of snorkeling interest. However, many excellent beaches with good snorkeling are very close to the property. As it was off-season, a couple of the better restaurant options were closed, though several were available. If you don't plan to do laundry, I'd recommend bringing a couple of extra beach towels and throw a couple of rolls of toilet paper, some kitchen trash bags, and some paper towels in your luggage if you don't plan to purchase them on the island. Otherwise, it really has anythings you'd be likely to need. Excellent dive shop (Go West) nearby. If you're a diver, don't miss Watamula.

We love the unique and personal experiences we have had renting from real people and we love providing that personal touch to our guests as well!
We decided to purchase a townhome at Marazul Dive Resort after vacationing there and falling immediately in love with Curacao and especially the Westpunt area!
