Lake Hartwell House - Sunsets & Deep Water Dock - Close to Clemson & Anderson

Our family has been making Lake Hartwell memories at The Hicks House for 3 generations. We invite you to visit our family vacation home and stay awhile!

The Hicks House is a 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath home with a newly renovated kitchen, but you will spend every waking minute outside. The flat, open lot has fabulous lake views and gorgeous sunsets. Everyone in your family will have an amazing trip.

For 2025, we have gone streaming! A kindle firestick is available for you to sign into your accounts. We do not provide any cable services.

White City boat ramp is a great place to launch your boat at the end of Lakewood Lane just 2 min down the road. Our driveway is large enough for your boat trailer and parking for a full family of cars. You may park on the grass during dry times, but please be cautious not to damage the yard. There is space for 1 car inside the garage, but a remote control for the garage door is not available. No RVs or Campers allowed - see notes below.

A long weekend kitchen supply of basics are provided: paper towels, dish soap, trash bags, and dishwasher liquid. There is also enough toilet paper for your long weekend.

Both a Keurig and drip coffee machine are provided in the kitchen along with the usual dishwasher, microwave, stove/oven and refrigerator/freezer. There is a washer and dryer with a small supply of clothes detergent. A secondary refrigerator/freezer is located in the garage.

Bed linens and bath towels are provided, but beach towels for the lake are not available. A pack & play is available for guests to use.

Our dock is located in a great semi-open, deep water cove. Wake board, water ski, tube and fish right in front of the dock. The "double bridges" of SC Hwy 24 are visible, making it a quick 5 min boat ride to Portman Marina to enjoy a meal or gas up your boat. The walk down to the covered dock is a very slight incline that most can navigate easily. Our family boat remains inside the middle dock slip during summer months along with a jet ski platform on one side, as shown in the photos. Plenty of space remains for 2 large boats to tie up on each side of the dock. We have done it many times! Power is located on the dock. A water faucet can be found just before you walk onto the dock. Please bring your own life jackets, none are provided.

Sitting on the back porch, watching a sunset while the kids are playing in the yard is the best way to end a day on the lake. There is a ping pong table in the garage. Corn Hole is also available for an evening game in the yard.

The Sunroom sofa converts to a Full Size pullout bed.

The Hicks House has an electronic Nest Lock on the front door. A code for your stay will be sent via email and active from your check in until check out times only.

No Parties - our lake neighbors have been friends for many years. We ask that you keep noise to a respectful level.

No Smoking ($500 cleaning fee will be charged)
No Pets ($500 cleaning fee will be charged)
Homeowner does not accept any liability for injury.
Fishing Equipment should be kept inside the garage.

Notes:
All trash must be bagged and placed in the provided can outside of the garage. Any bags that do not fit inside the provided outdoor trashcan should be taken to the Waste Disposal facility located at 200 Echo Circle Anderson, SC 29625 (only 6 minutes away). If loose trash is found inside the can a $50 fee will be charged after the stay.

RVs and Campers will not be allowed unless approved before booking.

Only the provided propane grill should be used. Guests are responsible for providing propane. Visitors should NOT bring a charcoal grill to use. The provided grill should be used outside the garage with proper ventilation. It should NEVER be used inside the garage.
