A corner of paradise surrounded by nature in the Ligurian hinterland

Casa Lesina, a traditional Ligurian country house located in Castellaro, is in an enviable mid-hill position, overlooking the Val Fontanabuona from where it dominates the valley, immersed in the green of the surrounding woods rich in local fauna and flora and surrounded by vegetable gardens, olive groves and orchards.
Comfortable and silent, it can be reached by a comfortable asphalted municipal road just 2 km away from the hamlet of Calvari below, where there are shops, banks, post office, restaurants and pizzerias.
The apartment is located on the top floor of the house and can accommodate 4/6 people. We rent for minimum stays of 7 days; for a number of guests less than 4 and for periods of less than one week of stay we reserve the confirmation of availability (see section Rates & Availability / Notes).
The rooms are two, both with double bed, large and bright and a sofa bed is available for two other guests.

The bathroom has a shower and washing machine, a large table, television and comfortable sofa in the dining / living room.

It is an excellent base for various excursions: 15 km from the most beautiful beaches of the Ligurian Riviera di Levante and close to the splendid seaside towns of Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Camogli, Sestri Levante and the magnificent 5 Terre.
Genoa provincial capital, can be easily reached both by car and by bus.
Paths start from Casa Lesina to Mount Ramaceto, the Aveto Park, the Agoraie Nature Reserve and connect to the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri.
For walkers there are trekking possibilities for all needs as well as for mountain bike cyclists who can choose between routes of varying difficulty on the paths of the hills and the easier route of the "Ardesia Cycle Route" which unfolds flat along the banks of the Lavagna stream, crossing the pleasant villages of the Val Fontanabuona, up to the mouth of the Entella in the center of the Gulf of Tigullio, between the renowned towns of Chiavari and Lavagna.
In addition, in the nearby Calvari airfield it is possible to practice paragliding, hang gliding and other light aircraft.
In the surrounding municipalities there are small but interesting museums on culture, peasant craftsmanship and local archeology, we mention a few:
Archaeological Museum of Fontanabuona - at the seat of the municipality of Cicagna;
Peasant Museum in Calvari;
Damascus and history of the territory museum in Lorsica;
"Casa Giannini" Emigrant Museum in Favale di Malvaro;
Musel - Integrated museum system of Sestri Levante and Castiglione Chiavarese, two exhibition centers, designed to offer the visitor a rich and articulated narration of the history of the Tigullio territory and the Sestri Levante valleys.
Weekly farmers organize markets for the direct sale of their typical agricultural products.
