Kanaloa at Kona is an idyllic tropical oasis located on a point of land and surrounded by He'eia Bay, the Pacific Ocean and the Kona Country Club Ocean Course. It is rated by many as the 'BEST' complex in Kailua-Kona. With lighted tennis courts, a pickleball court, three swimming pools (one is on the ocean), hot tubs, barbecues and walking paths, Kanaloa allows for a complete vacation without leaving the complex.

Perfectly located on the edge of He'eia Bay and looking out on the Pacific Ocean, this luxurious yet comfortable home-away-from-home provides the most beautiful daytime, sunset and nighttime views you can imagine.! Throughout the year, you can watch the rolling surf which is home to turtles, dolphins, manta rays and whales, as well as local surfers. Relax with your morning coffee while watching the kayaks, canoes, dive boats and fishing boats as they head for open ocean. Or later in the day, perhaps you would enjoy a tropical drink on the lanai as the boats return home to Keauhou Harbor.

The unit has been professionally (and beautifully) decorated and boasts some homey touches as well. This is a family owned and maintained unit with personality! NEW HARDWOOD FLOORING in the kitchen and living areas plus NEW CARPET in the bedrooms (August 2022). All stainless kitchen appliances include a NEW DISHWASHER and NEW RANGE with convection and air fryer (September 2022). The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you need to prepare a simple snack or even a gourmet meal. Of course, if relaxing means staying out of the kitchen, a short drive into town provides you with a myriad of delicious dining options. And for the environmentally conscious we have upgraded most lighting to LED (2021).

Nearby, you can enjoy golf, swimming, diving, shopping, sightseeing, hiking, surfing, movies, spas, dining, etc. There is no end to the activities and attractions you can experience within an easy drive from Kanaloa!

Kanaloa is a non-smoking property. Please do not smoke anywhere on the property including no smoking inside the condo or on the lanai.

Please note that only registered guests may use the property amenities. Visitors of guests may not use the swimming pools or tennis courts. On holiday weekends guests will be required to obtain a wristband from the main office to use the pools. Mahalo for your compliance to these rules of the Kanaloa at Kona Resort.

NOTICE
November 18 - December 1, 2024
Kanaloa is redoing all asphalt parking on the property September thru November 2024. This will result in potential noise and smell. work is scheduled for Monday-Friday 8am-5pm but could include weekends if necessary. The parking area that includes our dedicated parking spot is scheduled for Nov 18 - Dec 1, 2024. During this time you will not be able to park right in front of the condo and will have to use other spaces nearby. You also will not be able to drive in that area.

My three adult children and I visited Kona for the first time, and staying at this home truly made our trip even more enjoyable. The condo was lovely—comfortable, well-equipped with plenty of appliances, and the view was absolutely spectacular. We’re so glad we chose this home for our stay!

This condo was simply amazing. The location is excellent. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. All the appliances and furnishings you need. And the view from the lanai cannot be beat. Loved our stay.

Spectacular Location & Accommodation

This was our 2nd time staying here. Right on the ocean with a great view of the boats coming and going from Keahou Bay, this unit will make you feel relaxed like you are at home. Watching the boats at night for the Manta Ray outings is amazing as well. The unit is very well equipped with all the cooking and eating dishes needed. Bedding, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards all included. The complex has a great pool, hot tub, table tennis, tennis & pickle ball courts. It also has a great BBQ cooking area. You are located just below Keahou shopping center which is just a short trip up the road for any last minute items.Definitely a GREAT place to stay.

Great condo

Great condo for our family of five. Its not easy for us to find accommodations when our boys (21 and 18) refuse to share beds. Well stocked kitchen, items in kitchen such as sandwich bags, paper napkins, etc, made the stay so simple. We enjoyed the lanai and the oceam poolocean

HI for the Holidays

The condo was beautifully decorated which instantly put you in a relaxed state. The sunsrises and sunsets from the lanai were magnificent. The inside stairs were unexpected and a bit difficult with the luggage but got use to them. The loft got hot and a bit uncomfortable, however we didn’t use the A/C. A minor disruption with the internet occurred during our stay but glad we were able to assist in fixing problems. Suggest informing guests that washer takes anywhere between 1-1.5 hours if using pre-programmed cycle with a secondary rinse cycle and dryer is a minimum of 70 minutes. All these issues are common on the island and did not have affect our opinion about the condo. Overall the condo was a wonderful temporary home for us and we appreciate you allowing us to use it.

Fantastic Kona Vacay Stay

We really enjoyed staying at this place, very spacious and tastefully decorated, well-equipped with everything you'd need. Clean, quiet, great view, and great location from which to access all Kona adventures. Upon arrival, had a bit of trouble with the AC and wifi - but the owner was super-responsive and helpful, and we got it all sorted out and working in a short time. We appreciated her. The ocean front pool was not available as advertised, but through no fault of the owner; plus, two other nice pools in this elegant condo complex. This place is a Yes.

Location, location, location

It's tough to beat this condo for location. It's in a well-maintained development of luxury units right on the ocean with beautiful landscaping, security, a couple pools, and far away from the cruise ship crowd. The unit itself has a spectacular view of the ocean from the unit's lanai, where we spent 90 percent of our time. Whale sitings, listening/watching the surf, and just relaxing. Although it could use a little modernizing, the unit is spacious and well decorated. Owners are super responsive to questions and concerns; lots of little signs about what to do/not to do abound. The only drawback is the inability to control the temperature inside. Hawaii gets hot and muggy, and though the ocean breeze is awesome, the inability to adjust the thermostat when you want to deploy the A/C is a concern. I understand the owners want to save electricity -- it's crazy expensive in Hawaii -- having to text the owners to override the pre-determined settings is awkward. But don't let that stop you from staying here. It's pretty close to perfect and a good value.

STELLAR UNIT AND LOCATION

This unit was incredible. We have never stayed in a unit that was this well equipped with all the appliances, supplies and beach accessories necessary for our stay. Incredible views of the bay to watch sea life, surfers and the Manta Ray night dives and snorkel trips. Amenities on the grounds included a parking stall which was just in front which made loading and unloading a breeze, 3 swimming pools, BBQ facilities and recycle/garbage bins. The photos don’t do it justice. We will definitely tell all our friends about this place. A real GEM!

Could have been better but overall, good

We were there for one month during which the tv did not work and was not"fixed" until the last week; the washing machine requires "babysitting" because it bounces all over . When I contacted the owner about some cleaning supplies, this was addressed immediately but other issues were not and there was no follow-up from the owner and for each issue, I felt like I had to complain, something that is not enjoyable on a holiday. The main bathroom was like a sauna as it does not have a fan. Apart from these issues - The unit itself is nice and location and overall complex good.

New flooring makes a big difference

The main flooring has been recently upgraded to composite hardwood, and new carpet in bedrooms. A great improvement. Perhaps the bathrooms flooring next?

We purchased this beautiful condo primarily for our multi-generational family to enjoy, but we rent it out on a limited basis for others to enjoy as well. We visit often and love the peacefulness that being by the ocean brings. Our condo is perfectly situated to enjoy the views from the lanai at all hours, including spectacular sunsets and the occasional whale! The Kanaloa property is beautifully landscaped, so even a short walk to the pool allows you to experience lush tropical flowers, a variety of palms and other plants. Birds, geckos and the occasional mongoose round out the feeling of being in a little tropical paradise.
