Tahoe Donner is perfectly situated near some of the best ski resorts in Tahoe! This includes North Star, Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Alpine), and Sugar Bowl. In the summer, it's only a 10 minute drive down to Donner Lake. There are also tons of running and biking trails right down the street, in addition to a beautiful golf course. Our house specifically is located on a flat lot with an attached garage, so accessing the property during the winter is very easy compared to other homes.

You are only a short drive (25-30 mins) to some of the world's best skiing, including Palisades and Northstar. You are also close (10-15 mins) to downtown Truckee, a bustling little mountain town with some of the best restaurants and shopping Lake Tahoe has to offer.

Guests will have private and exclusive access to the entire home during their stay. This includes all interior spaces, as well as the backyard, which is situated on a flat lot.

As you enter, the open-concept living space greets you with ample natural light, illuminating the modern rustic style that defines the cabin. Unwind on the large sectional sofa in the combined living and family room, an ideal spot to relax after a day of adventure. Enjoy your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV, equipped with Roku, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix, making it easy to catch up on entertainment.

The updated, well-equipped kitchen boasts new appliances and a breakfast bar, flowing seamlessly into the dining area, excellent for shared meals and family gatherings. For added convenience, the cabin features an in-unit washer and dryer, ensuring your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Hillside Hideaway is designed to be your serene retreat, offering both relaxation and practicality for a memorable vacation.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms:
- Master Bedroom: Features a comfortable king-size bed.
- Second Bedroom: Offers two queen-size beds and a closet.
- Living Room: A pull-out sofa bed is available, which is best suited for children.
- Bathrooms: Two spacious full bathrooms, each with a tub/shower combo.
All beds are appointed with premium quality bedding, duvets, and pillows to ensure a restful night's sleep.

The driveway has room for 2 cars maximum.

The home is located 15 minutes from downtown Truckee, approximately 25 minutes from Northstar Ski Resort and about 3 hours from San Francisco. Lake Tahoe is a quick 20-25 minute drive. Other ski resorts, such as Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw and Alpine Meadows) are very close as well! The opportunities are endless! Lyft, Uber, and Taxis operate in the greater Truckee area.

HOME TRUTHS:
- No Tahoe Donner Amenities: Please be aware that this rental does not include guest access to the private Tahoe Donner amenities.
- No Air Conditioning: Like most homes in Lake Tahoe, our cabin is not equipped with air conditioning. We recommend opening the windows to enjoy the cool, fresh mountain air.
- Mountain Life: Dust and pollen can accumulate quickly on outdoor furniture. The BBQ and other outdoor furniture may be stored and unavailable during winter (typically October- May).
- Weather & Travel: A 4WD/AWD vehicle, chains, or snow tires may be required in winter.
- Uncontrollable Events: We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances such as poor air quality during wildfire season or snow during winter. We strongly recommend purchasing external trip insurance, as our cancellation policy will be upheld.
- Safety: The home is equipped with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and a first aid kit for your safety.
- Sofa Bed: While a pull-out sofa bed is available for use, it is not recommended for adults and is best suited for children.
- Please refer to the Rental Agreement for a full list of the local STR Rules.
- In case of a power outage, there are emergency supplies under the sink in the main bathroom.
