The Space:

Located on a quiet street near the Tahoe Donner Golf Course, this unique 3BR/2.5BA dome home offers an open-concept layout with vaulted ceilings, forest-view picture windows, and a fun bonus loft. Dog-friendly and family-friendly, it’s a peaceful mountain escape with access to top-tier Tahoe Donner amenities.



LIVING AREA



Settle into the inviting living space featuring soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, and tranquil forest views. Cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace for movie nights on the Roku TV. (Please note: this home does not have air conditioning.)



KITCHEN & DINING



The well-equipped kitchen features stone countertops and a full suite of appliances. A two-seat breakfast bar keeps the cook company, while the dining table seats six for shared meals.



BED & BATH



Primary Suite: King bed, gas stove, desk, TV, and an en-suite bath with soaking tub, double vanity, and walk-in shower.



Second Bedroom: Accessed via a spiral staircase, this room includes a queen bed, TV, desk, and en-suite bath with walk-in shower.



Loft: Open to the living area below, the loft offers children’s games and a twin-over-twin bunk bed.



Third Bedroom (Studio): Located in a separate, downstairs studio not attached to the main house, this space includes a queen bed and provides added privacy—ideal for extended family or guests.



A half bath adds convenience in the main home.



OUTDOOR AREA



Enjoy forest views from the balcony, complete with a gas grill (grill and outdoor furniture may be unavailable during winter months).



TAHOE DONNER AMENITY PASSES



This home includes six guest passes (one per person age 3 and older), granting access to Tahoe Donner amenities. A $24 daily fee per person applies for amenity use.

Important: Failure to return guest passes will result in a $250 replacement fee.

House was perfect for our weekend getaway. Lots of space for everyone, peaceful and had everything we needed. Management was quick to respond to our questions as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice main bedroom, rest of the house was hard to keep warm. The stairs had not been shoveled in several days so there was a solid chunk of ice on every step that we had to deal with for them.

Great stay

Amazing house

The architecture of this home is really unique and the surrounded by gorgeous trees in a convenient location. It was well equipped for cooking for our group in the kitchen and had lots of space. We will definitely go back.

Great place

Had an amazing time. This place DOES have air conditioning despite confusing messaged both in the home and on the VRBO page. The communication with Vacasa management in Truckee was fantastic. They went well out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. Only problem was spotty wifi throughout the trip, but we were exploring so much that we werent at the house that much for it to be an issue. Would stay here again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The whole rental process was very easy. Check in instructions and address were provided well in advance. The unit was very clean. Based on the unusual shape of the house I wasn't sure how usable the downstairs space would be, but it really works Upstairs is a little cramped but great for kids.

Perfect for a group of 6 hitting the slopes

Modern, clean, with a touch of cozy. Had everything we needed to sleep and feed 6 people (including 2 teenagers). The kitchen had all the standard appliances and tools for easy meals. Working fireplace. The neighborhood is nice and quiet - the driveway easily fits a few vehicles. There's a neighborhood clubhouse we didn't get a chance to use this time, but sounded great. The location is super convenient if you're going to Palisades or Sugar Bowl. Around 20 minutes driving to either, without traffic. Also about 8 minutes from a Safeway grocery store. Will be back!

Poor Management

The house was great but the management was disappointing. Upon arriving there was a mountain of snow covering the walkway making safe access impossible. I asked for a metal shovel and they said they could only provide the plastic shovel onsite and that I should use the salt so dissolve the snow. There was 5 ft of snow over a 200-foot walkway. I used the salt for the steep driveway. Normally, I could live with this, but I have a back injury and a small dog, so it was really difficult to enter and exit the house. The management (always someone different) always responded but they never said anything remotely helpful. Also, the dishwasher broke and they said they would arrange for someone to come and fix it and let me know when they would come. They did not do that, instead, they just sent a repair person who let themselves in and were there when I came back from dropping my son at Northstar. It's unfortunate, it would have been very easy to address my concerns, but they could not have cared less.

Poorly stocked, bare minimum cabin

I stayed here with my whole family (kids and grandparents too). For the most part the cabin looks like the photos, however the dining table was a much smaller black plastic table not the wood one pictured. This cabin was poorly stocked for example no wood for the fireplace, no ice melt for the stairs and driveway and no cooking essentials in the kitchen like salt pepper etc. Communications from guest services were very generic and not helpful at all. When I asked guest services about the ice melt (there was a bucket for it but it was empty) I was told the guest had to purchase ice melt. When I asked about some confusion with the different thermostats in different bedrooms guest management said there should be a binder that details the operation, the binder only has instructions regarding trash, snow removal and emergency services. Overall pretty disappointed in the communication from guest services and the lack of stocked amenities for the price we were paying, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Nightmare Stay!! Liars!

This was truly a horrific stay. Vacasa and the owners of this house should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. First, our check-in was at 4pm. We arrived after 5 to find the cleaner still working on the house. It turns out the owners had stayed their previously and left the house in such a nasty state that the cleaner stayed until almost 7pm. Disgusting. I was left with laundry in the dryer I needed to put away, and dishes in the dishwasher I also needed to put away. Second, the listing clearly says "central a/c." I even confirmed, in writing, with Vacasa that this house had central a/c. They said "yes." Again, I have this in writing! It turns out the house does NOT have central a/c. They have a sign in the house stating this, and asking guests to open the windows instead. This was even confirmed by the cleaner who said the house did not have it. The listing and Vacasa lied. Third, the internet kept going out. For someone who needed to WFH, this was very annoying. Fourth, the listing also says guests have access to the recreation center, pool, etc. The guest passes were not at the house and the local team never brought them after saying they would. I was on the phone with Vacasa every single day, and always told a local team would contact me. This never happened. We paid for services that we did not receive. This is false advertisement and I will be contacting the BBB and reporting you. Finally, the house is crawling with spiders and their are webs everywhere inside.

The cabin was fantastic - set up very nicely with large, airy, and bright living room and kitchen area. The master suite was spacious and the large soaking tub was wonderful to relax in after a day of skiing and/or hiking. Our kids loved the loft area, and another family we vacationed with had privacy in the downstairs apartment unit. This cabin was ideal for our needs. There were stains on the couches and general wear and tear on the property, but this didn't affect our stay - everything was in working order and clean. Glad to see this property allows pets too, since we may consider bringing our pooch with us next time. When we arrived, there was a melted ice cream container on the kitchen counter we had to clean up, and I had reported this to Vacasa (the management company), and received a reply two days later. Luckily, this was our only incident, but it does make me wonder if something bigger came up - the response time was not quick. Similarly prior to our trip, I had reached out to Vacasa to inquire about the Wifi speed/reliability and again, it took 48 hours for a response. So just something to keep in mind. We will gladly rent this cabin again for future trips. It was in a great location, clean (aside from the melted ice cream on the counter), and spacious.

Sparkling Clean and great location..!

Cleanliness everywhere, property was very nice and well maintained. Please note that the third bedroom is located on the lower level which is completely disconnected from top floor and its like a separate unit, the staircase was covered in snow and ice so we couldn't go downstairs and use the 3rd bedroom which was disappointing. So, give it a second thought if you are looking top use 3rd bedroom especially during winter season which is hard to take stairs with kids. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
