The "Hummingbird House" has 4-bedrooms, 3-bathrooms with a large open fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living area, a large sunroom that makes a wonderful spot for morning coffee during those chilly coastal mornings located on 3 acres. There is a large 60 ft ocean view deck with seating and a fire-pit to enjoy those beautiful coastal days and evenings, and you may watch the deer that peacefully graze in the pasture. This is a wonderful home for family and friends.
This home is just a quick one mile from MacKerricher State Park and Beach, where you can enjoy a wonderful long sandy beach, maintained walking trails, plenty of tide pools to explore and are able to observe marine life like Sea Lions and Whale in their natural habitat. The park includes a "haul" road that is wonderful to walk, jog or bike ride (no cars on this haul road!) an easy 3 miles into the town of Fort Bragg. Only 1/2 mile from the home is a small local market with basic amenities, a wonderful Mexican restaurant with bar and the local horse stables which provide beautiful walks to the beach. Always wondered about the Skunk Train? It is an easy 10 minute drive into the town of Fort Bragg, or that easy bike ride on the haul road, to the Fort Bragg Skunk Train Station where you can purchase tickets to ride through the beautiful redwoods. And the beautiful quaint town of Mendocino is an easy 13 mile drive
The Hummingbird House is a spacious single story home which has two bedrooms each with a full size bed, a large bedroom with a king size bed and a spacious room with a queen size bed. There are 3 full bathrooms which include showers only, no bathtubs. Available at the home is a portable crib for a little one and 2 booster chairs so the little ones may easily join the family for meals. All bedrooms have a Smart TV, and there is a piano in the living room to enjoy those musical adventures. There are many windows in this home where may enjoy the deer or the distant ocean views.
For those equine families, ask about the pasture space available (bringing your own portable fencing)

Great house, with very kind and helpful hosts. We loved the huge deck and sun room. We were only about 10 minutes from the skunk train station, the main Fort Bragg area, and several hiking trails. We had a great time

Simply wonderful! My family and I had a fantastic stay here at “The Hummingbird House.” Right when you walk in, the home feels incredibly warm and inviting. So much thought and care has clearly been put into the space. The hosts anticipated all the extra little things a guest might need—it was so thoughtful! We loved the helpful Post-it notes around the house and the detailed welcome book, which was packed with great local recommendations for things to see and places to eat.We’ve been coming to the Fort Bragg area for a long time, and we love exploring new spots. The location of this house was perfect for that—close to town, yet just a quick trip across the way to many beaches to explore. Because the house sits up on a hill, looking out at the ocean in the mornings and evenings was incredibly relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out in the sunroom watching deer roam in the backyard and my daughter absolutely loved the little nook by the kitchen where she could watch the hummingbirds. Overall, we loved our stay and can't wait to return in the near future. Thank you, Erika and David, for sharing your lovely home!

This is our third summer at the Hummingbird House, and it never disappoints. Such a lovely location, and the property itself is well stocked, laid out, and so spacious. The hosts are amazing and always so helpful and gracious. We are already planning our next stay!

Very beautiful, relaxing, quiet stay. Check in and out were super easy and all amenities noted were delivered on and then some. The house was very roomy and the kitchen was a cook's delight. Great location, amazingly comfortable! We very much enjoyed our stay here, and spent every morning in the sun room enjoying the view off of the back deck. Watching the hummingbirds zoom around and the deer wander across the backyard was such a peaceful and enjoyable way to start the day. We had planned to stay with family for the weekend, but due to a family member falling ill, my spouse and I had the property to ourselves. There is plenty of space and we loved all of the personal touches. You can tell that the owners care very much about making sure the experience is memorable and pleasant.

We had a wonderful stay at this stunning beachfront property! The home was beautifully decorated, spotless, and incredibly spacious—plenty of room for our entire family (2 grandparents, 4 parents, and 5 kiddos) to relax, make memories and enjoy the time together. Waking up to ocean views and having direct beach access with everything we could need made our vacation truly special. Everything was thoughtfully prepared for a comfortable and memorable stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family getaway! We can’t wait to return!

Fort Bragg fun

Another amazing stay

We had a wonderful stay here for the second time. Check in and out was easy. The house is comfy and very roomy. We love the big open kitchen. It’s a very short drive to the ocean and store. We cant wait to go back!
