The "Hummingbird House" has 4-bedrooms, 3-bathrooms with a large open fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living area, a large sunroom that makes a wonderful spot for morning coffee during those chilly coastal mornings located on 3 acres. There is a large 60 ft ocean view deck with seating and a fire-pit to enjoy those beautiful coastal days and evenings, and you may watch the deer that peacefully graze in the pasture. This is a wonderful home for family and friends.
This home is just a quick one mile from MacKerricher State Park and Beach, where you can enjoy a wonderful long sandy beach, maintained walking trails, plenty of tide pools to explore and are able to observe marine life like Sea Lions and Whale in their natural habitat. The park includes a "haul" road that is wonderful to walk, jog or bike ride (no cars on this haul road!) an easy 3 miles into the town of Fort Bragg. Only 1/2 mile from the home is a small local market with basic amenities, a wonderful Mexican restaurant with bar and the local horse stables which provide beautiful walks to the beach. Always wondered about the Skunk Train? It is an easy 10 minute drive into the town of Fort Bragg, or that easy bike ride on the haul road, to the Fort Bragg Skunk Train Station where you can purchase tickets to ride through the beautiful redwoods. And the beautiful quaint town of Mendocino is an easy 13 mile drive
The Hummingbird House is a spacious single story home which has two bedrooms each with a full size bed, a large bedroom with a king size bed and a spacious room with a queen size bed. There are 3 full bathrooms which include showers only, no bathtubs. Available at the home is a portable crib for a little one and 2 booster chairs so the little ones may easily join the family for meals. All bedrooms have a Smart TV, and there is a piano in the living room to enjoy those musical adventures. There are many windows in this home where may enjoy the deer or the distant ocean views.
For those equine families, ask about the pasture space available (bringing your own portable fencing)

Great location, amazingly comfortable! We very much enjoyed our stay here, and spent every morning in the sun room enjoying the view off of the back deck. Watching the hummingbirds zoom around and the deer wander across the backyard was such a peaceful and enjoyable way to start the day. We had planned to stay with family for the weekend, but due to a family member falling ill, my spouse and I had the property to ourselves. There is plenty of space and we loved all of the personal touches. You can tell that the owners care very much about making sure the experience is memorable and pleasant.

Very beautiful, relaxing, quiet stay. Check in and out were super easy and all amenities noted were delivered on and then some. The house was very roomy and the kitchen was a cook's delight. Relaxing weekend reunion

We loved our stay! The house was lovely and cozy with so many wonderful and thoughtful touches! We really were impressed by the fully stocked kitchen with all the spices and pans/pots/utensils you could need! We cooked all of our meals and really enjoyed our time in the kitchen. The deck and sunroom are just lovely! Wonderful view of the ocean in the distance and we saw deer almost every day out in the meadow down below. The house was laid out perfectly for us too, with a split bedroom design. 2 bed/2 baths on one end and 2 beds/1 bath on the opposite end. We loved it, thank you !!

A dream

This place had it all, coffee and snacks included. The layout was perfect so that everyone was no concentrated in one area and the bathroom to bedroom ratio was perfect. The table was long for games and the living room was cozy for spending time together. Not to mention how beautiful the rain sounded on the sunroom roof! We can’t wait to come back with our partners.

Wonderful views & hosts & home!

This spacious home is in an ideal location—all of our favorite things we did during our time in Ft. Bragg/Mendocino were within minutes—walking or biking distance—of the home. We loved the sunset ocean views, state park with stunning bike trail across the road, and horseback riding on the beach with Ricochet Ridge Ranch at the end of the lane. Erika went above and beyond to make our stay a great one & make sure we had all we needed. We hope to return. Thank you!

Phenomenal Property!

I never write reviews but I HAD TO on this one. I traveled to this home as a family with our adult children - six people in our party all together and this home was so accommodating we hardly wanted to leave for our planned excursions. The surroundings, adorable features within, foxes and deer running around outside and all of the cute decorations, board games, hand written notes with thorough instructions - made us feel very well taken care of. Even if this house seems a bit big for a smaller party - JUST CHOOSE IT and I guarantee you walk inside and say "thank you random lady with the positive review" while patting yourself on the back for making an excellent choice.

AMAZING PLACE!

My two sisters and I stayed here during a bucket list trip to Ft. Bragg to visit Sea Glass Beach. It did not disappoint! The house is SO spacious! Each of us had our own bedroom AND bathroom! The kitchen is huge and there wasn't ONE thing we needed that wasn't there. Erika was so kind and wonderful to communicate with when we had questions...she was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The house is decorated SO cute...lots of antiques and trinkets to see. Oh, and the hummingbirds! How fun it was to see different kinds of hummingbirds! Easy, easy access to and from town...we made several trips back and forth each day. Everything was very clean; I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in this area!!

Family gathering

It was a great house to have 2 of my children and 3 grandchildren spend time together before a move to Arizona. House was well equipped with everything that was above expected. Plenty of towels, extra key etc. Close to many beaches and town. I have never had a host leave a welcome gift for us. Nice to see some wildlife around the property.

You can enjoy setting in the sunroom or on those beautiful coastal days, spend the time on the large deck with a distant peaceful ocean view. The home is located only 1 mile from MacKerricher State Park with a beautiful beach and walking trails!
