This Kihei Akai Resort 6th floor penthouse is a remodeled 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit located across from Kamaole Beach Park II. There is BRAND NEW split system AC unit installed. It's walking distance to shops, bars & dining options from value to high end. After a fun day of snorkeling, golfing, tennis, surfing, dining, shopping, fishing or sightseeing, relax on the deck & watch the sunset, stargaze or just rest on the comfy new luxury bed.

The living room includes brand new queen sofa bed with comfortable memory foam, hardwood floors, and AC unit. The kitchen and entryway have marble floors. The kitchen has new appliances including a gas stove, double door fridge, and dishwasher. The bathroom has a new walk-in shower with black stone flooring. The condo is fully stocked for your comfort and includes all the necessary kitchen tools for preparing meals in, linen and towels, dishwasher, washer/dryer inside the unit, a telephone for free calls to the US and Canada, free WiFi, cable TV, and CD/stereo. The master bedroom has been fully remodeled with a BRAND NEW king size BeautyRest Luxury bed for your sleeping comfort, BRAND NEW AC unit, a second flatscreen 50" Smart TV, and new carpet. There are boogie boards, beach umbrellas, and chairs for chilling on the beach. This unit sleeps up to four guests. This home is popular and receives many repeat guests. The well maintained Kihei Akai complex has two swimming pools, BBQs, and a tennis court surrounded in a tropical landscaped setting. This condo includes a very convenient private parking space. However, it is walking distance to everything you need to enjoy the incredible Maui lifestyle if you choose not to rent a car. A public bus system is a short stroll down the road if you want to venture out and explore the island further on a budget.

This condo is directly across the street from popular Kamaole Beach Park II and another five minutes stroll to the border of Wailea and then Keawakapu Beach. It is located in building C.

Great Stay!

We really enjoyed the location of Kihei Akahi. Close to three great beaches, restaurants, and coffee shops. The condo was well equipped and clean.

Perfect Location

A very nice unit. Nicely furnished with everything you need and a super comfortable kingsize bed. Great views of the ocean , upcountry and beautiful gardens. Very quiet location.

Amazing Vacation Condo in Kihei

Trust the high ratings for this condo—it is amazing. The lanai stays shaded all day for you to enjoy. The owners had a great assortment of beach gear and the furniture is high quality. Loved the design choices. Finally, you will not want to sleep in your bed at home after you sleep in the condo’s beautiful king size bed. We’ve already booked for next year!

Coming Back Again and Again

This was the second time that we have rented this condo, and we have already reserved it for our next trip. The condo's layout and furniture are wonderful (especially the bed), and the lanai is sheltered from direct sun all day. The location is perfect for us, with beautiful gardens, 2 pools, BBQs that are spotless, a snorkel and paddle boarding beach with lifeguards just across the street, and great options for restaurants and bars within walking distance. We hope to stay in this rental for many years to come.

Exactly what's needed

Quick 3 day stay but it was perfect. Had everything needed. Quiet building, comfy bed, easy walking to beach, shops and restaurants. Quick response from team on my forgotten entry code and then locking myself out. Impressed how quick got back to me. Just book it you wont regret it.

20th Anniversary Getaway

One Word, LOVE!!!!, First time to Maui with Gazillion options, bumped into this condo and it was God sent. Perfect for my husband and I. Easy and friendly check in, walk to the beach for incredible sunsets. Owner Miss Linda was very friendly and communicative. It actually felt as if I was staying over in a family's home instead of a rental. That is how comfortable and flawless it was. Great size king size bed, great living area and kitchen. Coffee out on the patio felt like a dream.... Already searching for airline tickets planning our second trip. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

kihei getaway

The location was great, close to resturaunts and beaches. The unit is on the 6th floor and with the trade winds it sounded like a wind tunnel in the bed room. Fortunately that was only in the afternoons. There are 2 reccomnedations I would make; curtains in the living room and change the shower floor. The unit faces south so the sun glares into the unit and there is not privacy w/out the curtains. The floor of the shower is pebbles and is uneven which hurt our feet. The management team was reponsive to most of our issues.

Decent for a short stay.

We used the place for a short 3-day stay on Maui where most of our time was spent out sight-seeing or on the beach, so this was all we needed however we did run into some issues. The kitchen and living area were very nice. We also very much enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants and the beach! The place was well stocked with so many beach items, sports equipment etc. We unfortunately had some issues regarding lack of attention from the cleaning company (and we were not able to use the laundry, however, I assume this is hopefully a one-time issue). We were hoping for a bit more of a response regarding this issue as well, as we were counting on the wash machine. The host did offer to have someone come out to fix/clean but the timing was just inconvenient especially with such a short stay.

Best Stay in Maui

My fiancé and I were visiting Maui for my best friends destination wedding. Last minute, we found out we would be able to get extra days off of work so we could extend our stay. I reached out to the property manager and she was amazing. It was so nice to be able to add an extra day so last minute. We loved the property! It was perfect. So close to the beach, so many food options, and we even played at the tennis courts. I really have no complaints! My fiancé and I will definitely be staying here next time we visit Maui.

Nice place

This property was really nice for my family and I. Great location, cute little shops and many food places to eat within walking distance of our condo. The only thing about this stay that wasn’t great was showing up to our room and it hadn’t been cleaned yet. Our check in was at 4, and we got to our room at 4:10 and the cleaners showed up about 4:15 and had to clean while we were there. They were there for until 5:30/5:45 so trying to unpack and relax after our long flight didn’t happen, that was the only negative. Other than that, great place.

We really enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Linda's place. It was very well located, with the beach across the street, closeby restaurants and grocery store and other services. There was a beautiful kitchen and all the things you would need for enjoying the beach. Best of all, Linda was an amazingly kind and helpful host. Communication with her was easy and she got back to us very quickly with all our questions, and helped make our stay comfortable. Thank you so much for hosting us Linda!

A few steps to the beach

Very comfortable stay at Kihei Akahi. Very comfortable king bed. Nice to have the A/C in living room. Able to walk to restaurants and shops. Very quiet property Pool were nice and water was warm. A minor repair problem that was promptly fixed by responsive owner. Overall a great stay.

Summer vacation/2nd honeymoon

The place as wonderful. It was well stocked with everything you need for the beach and pool. Also, kitchen has everything you need if you plan to eat a meal at home. One small problem with the toilet (it made a “singing” sound) but it was fixed promptly. The location was great. Would definitely stay again!! To the owner, thank you for letting us use your unit!!

Incredible Location That Included all the Beach Items you Needed

This was a fantastic place to stay for my wife and I's honeymoon. The location was fantastic because you could walk right across the street to the beach to see the sunset. The view from the patio was also fantastic as well and it is also very close to Wailea which has great beaches, restaurants, and activities. The VRBO also had so many beach supplies such as chairs, snorkeling gear, umbrellas etc. which we really appreciated and helped us with the many beach trips we made during the week. This was a fantastic place to stay.

Wonderful!

Beautiful spot and easy check in after a long day of traveling. Location was perfect for not having a car. Lots of food options next door and a great beach was less than a 5 minute walk. We loved having all the beach and snorkel gear to use and got to see sea turtles on our first snorkel!

Great Place

Great place. Short walk to the beach. Short enough to walk back and forth during the day if needed and it's not a big deal. Well-stocked kitchen and had boogie boards, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and umbrellas available for us. Kihei is a great beach town and this condo is within walking distance to food stores, liquor store, and restaurants.

One of the best in this price range

We have been renting condos in South Kihei for many years, and this one ranks as one of the best. It’s in a great location - far enough from busy Kihei Road to be very quiet but right across the street from a great beach and a short walk away from several good restaurants. The unit is nicely furnished and unlike many rental condos, was generously supplied with many thoughtful amenities like toilet paper, laundry soap, really nice beach towels, shampoo and bath soap and several kitchen items that you usually have to buy when you rent other condos. The owner was also very responsive and quickly replaced a broken beach umbrella. Although we didn’t need to use air conditioning during our stay, the unit has an efficient, wall-mounted air conditioner which is vastly superior to the much more common (and usually inadequate) window-mounted air conditioners.
