Beautiful home. Kitchen was very well equipped. Everything anyone would need to cook a mealVery nice living space, bedrooms, bathrooms tastefully decorated and comfortable. Loved sitting on the deck and reading. Nice hot tub. Enjoyed paddleboarding and kayaking one the sound. Very graciuos host. Great vacation.

Summer vacay

We had a GREAT vacay! This house was very comfortable and clean. We had 2 families sharing the house and had plenty of room. Updated bathrooms, great kitchen, comfy beds, etc. The owners were very responsive and great to work with. We would stay here again.

Amazing OBX vacation

Fabulous Stay for 2 Families

We had an amazing time, and Blue Haven was the perfect set up for our group of 10 including 4 adults and 6 teenagers. The local is ideal, the house was well equipped and communication before and throughout the stay with the owner was excellent. I highly recommend if staying with extended family or a large group!

Beautiful home with everything we needed for a wonderful vacation

Blue Haven was a great fit for our recent family vacation. The home is beautiful and comfortable, and has everything needed for a great stay. It was our first time staying on the sound side, and Blue Haven has gorgeous views and is a short walk or bike ride to the beach. We were comfortable letting our 11-13 year olds ride to the Corolla Light pool, and we loved the quieter side of the community. The house had a great set up for families - younger kids can got to sleep and be undisturbed while older kids and adults play games updates. The house is bright, clean, and easy to navigate. We loved the movie room and the open upstairs kitchen and dining room. Belle was very easy to work with and very communicative - all in all, a perfect house for a beautiful setting! Thank you!

Awesome Family Reunion

There were 7 of us. My husband and myself and our 5 adult kids. The house was incredible, there was nothing missing. The kitchen was awesome to cook in , a huge dining table, beautiful porches for our morning coffee. We had a fun outdoor happy hour evening one night set up at the outdoor bar area that lights up with comfy chairs with views of the sound. Loved the close access to the sound where we used the houe kayaks and SUP's. We used the bikes to get to the beach each day. Loved the hot tub. Even had tennis rackets for those that forgot to bring. We had fun movie nights in the downstairs family room. Everyone loved having their own shower and bathroom area. Highly recommend this house and we can't wait to come back!

Amazing Time at Blue Haven

It was amazing! Your beautiful home was the backdrop to our family vacation. Every moment was a treasure. We built sandcastles, shared laughter and amazing food in the open kitchen, and watched the sun blend into a palette of breathtaking colors. We spent most of our time gathering in the open living room and kitchen, celebrating multiple birthdays and amazing memories! The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed and more! Thank you so much for everything! I hope to be back next year!!

Charged extra cleaning fee

We were charged hundreds of dollars in extra cleaning fees because a small side table and a kitchen chair were not in their original positions, and the throw pillows were not put back where they belonged. In addition, the owner claimed we were responsible for an old recliner not closing smoothly and charged us for a repair. Owner was also very upset about a maintenance issue not being reported before we left the property. There are lots of other properties in Corolla. Do yourself a favor and choose a different one. You may be saving yourself hundreds of dollars of tacked-on fees.

Blue Haven is the BEST!

We absolutely 100% enjoyed our stay at Blue Haven! The location is perfect, close to the lighthouse, nature trail, park, and village center… every place you would like to get to is within walking distance. The sunsets are amazing on the sound right in the backyard. The resort’s Oceanside pool and beach were an every day destination for our adult children and were just a short walk or trolley ride away. There were nine adults staying in the house and we were all very comfortable and had our own space. It was fabulous to have the bikes and kayaks right on site! Clell was a fantastic host and was quick to reply to all of our inquiries. We all recommend Blue Haven as the perfect Corolla destination!

Loved our time at Blue Haven

Great place for our extended family to spend the week! Blue Haven had everything we needed to entertain ages from 3-64. Enough space for everyone to gather plus areas to get away for a little quiet time. Lovely decor and special touches made it a memorable time for all. Loved the proximity to the sound, lighthouse, 4x4 beach, and ocean. Kitchen is well-equipped and large enough that several can work together in meal prep. There are also several restaurants within walking distance. Owner, Clell, was always very helpful and quick in answering any questions we had.

Lovely Corolla Light Home

Nicely appointed home with everything you need in a beach neighborhood. Adults enjoyed the biking around with the kids. The waves were big due to the recent storm but all enjoyed the beach & pool complex. Great place for multigenerations to spend time together!

Wonderful vacation week

Our group had an excellent stay at Blue Haven! We had everything we needed and more. The location was excellent and the resort amenities were an added bonus. Everyone was able to find something to do all of the time. The house was very clean and the space was perfect. Highly recommend!

Great Vacation for the most part!

All was good except for the unfortunate Sound smell from the rotting weeds, which was not in the control of the owner. Because of the smell, we were unable to use the Kayaks.

College Bound Getaway Trip

I booked Blue Haven as an off to college trip for my son and his friends and brought grandparents along. The property, location, amenities, and beach really brought a dream to reality for all. Anything we needed or wanted was in walking distance, and the kayaks and paddle boards were used daily. We saw bald eagle and osprey nests, outstanding fireworks, and enjoyed bike riding to the historic district and beer garden. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in the OBX! Northern OBX trip

My entire family of 9 had an awesome time in this perfectly nestled house within a great neighborhood right next to the Sound. Being 1 block South of Currituck lighthouse area and just across Hwy 12 from the heart of Corolla Light Resort (the beach only minutes away) made walking, bicycling, scootering and LSV riding a blast. Large open spaces with plenty of seating for eating and playing card games, plenty of sleeping arrangements, and not to forget to mention the game/theater room (best part overall), couldn't have found a better house for what created a truly memorable vacation.

We are a family of 4, myself Clell, Carol my wife, Ian our son and Kendall our daughter. I am in the furniture and home decor industry owning my own business, Carol is an executive IT consultant at Infrastructure Technology her own firm. We reside in Virginia Beach, two hours from Blue Haven and love the Outer Banks, surfing, being on the beach and in the water. I have been coming to this part of the North Banks since 72 (before there was as road or any homes in Corolla) and never get tired of the place.

COROLLA LIGHT RESORT IS A WONDERFUL FAMILY ORIENTED COMMUNITY AND WE HAVE TRIED TO THINK OF EVERYTHING TO MAKE YOUR VACATION GREAT! Our home is located in one of the most unique places on the East Coast! We are next to the Currituck Sound where you can see some of the most amazing sunsets anywhere and within a short walk or bike ride you can be at the Ocean, an Historic Hunt Club (the Whalehead Club), Currituck Lighthouse, Historic Corolla Village, shops & restaurants. Also, the sound-front is community property in our neighborhood with almost 1 mile of waterfront to enjoy, we have a great Oceanfront Pool complex with Life Guarded beaches (in season), tennis courts and a great indoor sports complex with Weight and Cardio rooms. And best of all Highway 12 ends about 1.5 miles north of our home where you can drive on the beach and see wild ponies!! (proper 4 wheel drive vehicles only)

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We are always improving and investing in Blue Haven to make it a great vacation home and second home for us! It is very well equipped, having visited the OBX for many years before buying our home we have tried to think of everything you will want, plus we use the house ourselves in the off season so we have put more into it than the average rental home.. The 3 King Beds are very comfortable and all furniture very nice. The Theater is a great place to catch up on movies plus there is the 50' Smart TV in the great room upstairs and the gourmet equipped Kitchen. There is a great hot tub for 6 that you will want to spend time in daily! One of the best things of all is to sit in the evenings or early mornings on the outside patio under the live oaks and enjoy the sound views and nature with a cocktail or cup of coffee. Take advantage of the community rec center for a workout or take a bike ride or use our Kayaks or SUP's to enjoy the sound. The list goes on and on so come see for yourself!
