High View Hideaway - A Cozy Lost River Cabin Escape

Nestled in the wooded hillsides of the George Washington National Forest, High View Hideaway provides a serene retreat from the stresses of urban life and is the perfect base to enjoy all the Lost River area has to offer from hiking and fishing to cycling and more. Completely refreshed in 2019, this cozy cabin offers a large queen bedroom and full bath, as well as an open living/dining area, updated kitchen, large deck, and screened-in porch perfect for taking in nature's sights and sounds.

The Space
High View Hideaway boasts a well-equipped open plan kitchen and living/dining area that leads out onto a large deck nestled among the treetops and a screened-in porch, perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks. The wood burning stove offers additional charm, as well as an excellent source of heat on chilly nights.

The bedroom features vaulted ceilings, a queen bed, and cozy reading nook along with a large walk-in closet with hand-made shelving that provides generous storage space for all your getaway garb.

The cozy living area is the perfect place to cuddle up with a book, play a game, or watch a movie on our large-screen HD TV.

While The Hideaway is the perfect spot to fully unplug and unwind, we understand the pressures of modern day may require a connection to the outside world so we’ve wired the cabin with fiber optic high-speed internet and wi-fi access, as well as a large screen TV with Amazon Fire TV so you can catch your favorite movie, sporting event, or television series.

The cabin sits on 4 acres of wooded hillside grounds frequented by all forms of wildlife. It’s not uncommon to wake up to deer peering through the bedroom window or enjoying a midday snack among the lush greenery.

The premise is equipped with an exterior Nest camera facing the drive up to the cabin. It is used for security purposes only and monitored only when the property is vacant.
