Brick built two bedroom property (one double and one twin) located in a pictureque valley leading to a private sandy beach ideal for children with rock pools when tide is out. Beautiful sea and country views. Ideally placed for exploring the region. 2 miles from Looe, 8 miles to Polperro and 18 miles from Plymouth. Sleeps four. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom with lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Large patio with table and chairs. Electric heating throughout (payment via a meter), Wi fi. There are 30 steps to the property. Loading and unloading at bottom of steps. Parking in car park one minute walk away (£20 per week). Bed linen and towels not included. A well behaved dog is allowed for £20. Bookings accepted commencing a Saturday for minimum of seven nights.

Beautiful location

Property was well equipped and was ideally suited for exploring cornwall. Stunning views of the beach from the balcony bedroom and living room! The sound of the waves crashing was just magical.

Tranquil and Peaceful

What a lovely, clean and well equipped property. Such a pleasant and lovely surprise when entering the property to see a spacious and welcoming apartment. The setting is perfect and so peaceful with the beach close by.

Beautiful week

The location of the villa is everything, hearing and seeing the sea is beautiful. It’s walking distance to the beach with a gorgeous beach bar and cocktail bar. The kids (4&9) loved exploring. The villa has everything you could need and whilst a bit dated, it is in line with the price. We loved it that much that we stayed an extra night! Everything in the run up was well communicated. Thank you!

Sea side perfect

Lovely beach at Millendreath. Lots to see at Looe. Not so much to do when it is raining. A visit to Polperro is a must. Nice accommodation, well appointed, but avoid if allergic to pets hair.

Disappointed

After booking I experienced bad hip pain which made the 30+steps to the property difficult. We found that almost all of the equipment in the kitchen had to be washed before use, and one cupboard had mouse droppings in it. There were no mixing spoons, plastic or wood. The undersheet, when we stripped the bed before leaving, was filthy.

Lovely little holiday chalet

Stayed over the Easter weekend/ week. Perfect getaway to be honest and just what I needed. Nice little chalet with a wonderful view and balcony overlooking the beach. Nice and quiet in the evening, you can hear the waves crashing on the beach, and also open the curtains and watch the sea from bed!! I did message the owner in the run up to the stay and she was very responsive, but during the stay I messaged about towels and the bins and didn't hear back from her.Wifi good enough for emails, but not so much for 'proper work' - which was fine as this stopped the temptation to work, and forced me to enjoy my holiday. I put 20 on electric meter and it lasted the week for me. You get electric from the cafe fyi, not from the place the owner said you get it from (this was closed/ shut down). Also the bin shed code didn't work (i was asked to leave the rubbish in the bin shed in the car park), so i had to leave the black bag of rubbish outside the bin shed, as I had nowhere else to put it. Wonderful walk over to Looe, the south west coast path isn't muddy and is a well trodden path with little beaches on the way and some beautiful properties and cars to look at! I did this walk almost every single day with lots of lovely craft and food shops in Looe. Nice food in the cafe on Millendreath beach too and friendly owners. Locals all super friendly, and car cost 20 for week in car park and was safe there the whole week. I will be re-visiting. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

A Beautiful location for exploring Cornwall. Stunning views of the beach from balcony.I do have a couple of issues though regarding the listing which I mentioned in a telephone call to the host manager, a lovely lady called Jane. We had a little trouble finding the resort as it has not been called Black Rock for a couple of years and the post code took us to the resort next door. It is now called Millendreath Beach resort. When the host sent me confirmation of our booking and details for the property, the WiFi code, and code to access waste bins for end of stay etc,. all were out of date. It had, as we found later, been written on a small pad and propped above the fireplace but we weren’t to know that and had followed the hosts instructions. Luckily the key safe code to property was correct and allowed us entry to chalet. I think it needs to be clearly expressed that there are 32 steps up to the chalet and you need to be reasonably fit, and mobile especially when bringing cases up from the car (also when you check out). The chalet did have everything you need to self cater but I had to wash some items before using as some pans and utensils were sticky. Kitchen hob had not been cleaned properly and there were some sticky mug/glass rings on counters. The rugs on floor and throws on settees need a good wash.We did still enjoy our stay and it was very good value for money.

Hillside Villas Millendreath

Had a fantastic stay, we all loved this place! And shall return. The Apartment was clean, bright and cosy with everything we needed. It has a double room and a room with 2 single beds. The Balcony was great for sitting and admiring the stunning views of Millendreath Beach and surrounding area. Only small things are no gate to stop pets (we used our dog crate to block this) and small children as other reviews mentioned so we knew about this. There is also a grassed area halfway down the steps to take dog out early morning and last thing at night if needed. I would also recommend a torch for night time as there is not much site lighting but it is a very safe place. Approximately 34 steps and a 3 minute walk to the beach with its Beach bar open till 10:30 pm and Beach cafe serving food from 9am till 6pm...both very nice and welcoming. Just a note dogs are allowed on the beach before 9am and after 6pm.

Lovely villa, clean and tidy. A lovely home from home.

We loved our stay here. The host very friendly and helpful. The people are lovely willing to help anyone. 2 Minutes walk to the beach which was great for our old dog. Dogs can go on the beach before 9am and after 6pm in the summer. It’s also not to far to walk in to looe , the walk is not for the faint hearted it’s has lots of stairs and hills it is well worth it, we walked in to looe nearly everyday. Lovely views where ever you look. Would definitely go again

Home From home

What a fantastic 2 x week stay at this homely chalet. It had every utensil you could possibly want or need for making wonderful meals, comfy sofas, wonderful open plan kitchen/living room(so you can watch tv whilst cooking and have a chat).The double bed is so comfortable you feel completely enveloped in its fluffy duvet and marsh mallow pillows - simply divine. I will definitely be going back and must thank sally and Jane for their coordinated communication. Overall - Excellent holiday home. Many thanks Kaz Xx

How to relax

Upon arrival the site manager was rather elusive and it was a cleaner who was more help in answering any questions we had. With no Internet access owing to low or no signal she helped find us wear we were staying and I can't praise her enough. Now apart from this I can only recommend this holiday Village. It's as it says right on a private beach, has a cafe which isn't great but adequate, and a beach bar which is really nice with good and friendly staff and a good range of drinks. The accommodation is comfortable with a good size terrace to relax and just look out to sea.

Great location…fabulous views…lovely resort.

We had a great week in this lovely, friendly, quiet (but popular) resort with fabulous views of the sea and woodland. The coastal walk to Looe became an almost daily ritual. The only negative was the accommodation which was pretty tired and shabby and really not very clean. I’d read reviews that had mentioned this but hoped that during a global pandemic, this would have improved. I didn’t contact anyone as felt that if that was the standard during a time of having extra precautions and protocols, there was little hope :-( We took our own bedding which we were glad about. Would suggest taking a clothes airer too as the one provided is weeny.

Millendreath

It was a lovely comfortable stay in the villa, great views. Comfortable bed, great place to relax. Quiet and peaceful. Couple of minutes by car to Looe. Ten minutes to Polperro, great little fishing village. Would definately recommend staying here. Will go again no problem.

Millendreath is an absolute gem

Fantastic break staying in this hillside villa. Views are fantastic and the valley is just gorgeous. We've stayed in the holiday village previously and just love it. So peaceful and beautiful. The villa itself, is a little tired but seems like maybe its a work in progress, hopefully the bathroom is the next priority. Point to note, if you're taking your canine friend, as we did, there is no gate on the balcony so we had to use the patio table to block the gap but also very conveniently located for his bedtime pee is a patch of grass just a few steps down from the villa. Overall though, everything we needed was on hand and we had a wonderful stay. Thankyou.

Me, husband and dogs

Fab location , right next to beach , elevated position so great sea views, huge balcony brilliant for the dogs, digs allowed on the beach before 9 and after 6 without a lead , so it was great at 6pm all the dogs playing together on the beach , doggy heaven , but Seaton beach and downderry beach close by allow dogs without leads day and night, perfect size apartment for us , it's not a 5* apartment but you don't want that if you have dogs in there , it's perfectly adequate and comfortable, had a fab stay , would stay again anytime 👍♥️

This much loved holiday home was orginally owned by my mother who spent many weeks in the villa enjoying the views, sightseeing and walking. I now have the pleasure of owning the villa and spending whatever time I can there enjoying relaxing days. An early evening will often be spent swimming in the sea whilst the sun is setting.
