The villa is perched on the rock cliff of Oia, 300 meters above sea level with unparalleled views of the volcano, deep blue sea and the island of Santorini itself. It is situated in one of the finest Oia neighbourhoods, at the St George district, inside the traditional settlement,. It is overlooking the sea filled caldera just a few steps down the main marble paved pedestrian street. Our entrance is found at the main promenade branching out to picturesque cobblestone alleys and continues all the way to the castle ruins tip of the island and to one of the most famous sunsets in the world.

Grand Canava is offered as an entire residence and it has been built to comfortably accommodate 12 guests. It is ideal for families and friends travelling together and children of all ages are welcome.

An inviting 7 meter long swimming pool is found at the centre of the courtyard, wide enough for a proper swim and deep enough to allow a dive head first. A swim spa section with a hydromassage setting can be found inside the pool, the perfect place to cool down and relax, gazing at the sea.

Grand Canava villa consists of four distinct living areas, each with their own entrance. The East, West and Main canava sections, built at ground level around the pool and the Suite with its two verandas above.

West canava can comfortably accommodate 2 guests in a specious vaulted bedroom with very comfortable queen size wrought iron bed, a sitting area with antique wooden table for two, fully equipped kitchen and a cave style en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The bed receives ample natural light through two large windows facing towards the pool. There is a table and summer umbrella in the courtyard offering lounging with magnificent view to the caldera.

East canava can comfortably accommodate 4 guests in two vaulted bedrooms, a bathroom accessible through a corridor with antique furniture and mirror and an open plan living room with kitchen and panoramic views to the caldera.

The east canava main bedroom is carved into the rock with a comfortable queen size built-in four poster bed, secluded as a separate living area with its own indoor windows and door, in a fashion typical of traditional santorinian houses. With its inner windows open the bedroom can enjoy sea views while closing the inner windows and door creates a more romantic atmosphere.

The east canava guest bedroom has a double wrought iron bed that gives pillow view to the sea. Both rooms have access to a spacious living room with antique furnitures and a fully equipped kitchen. They share a large cave style bathroom with rainfall shower. There is a table and summer umbrella in the courtyard as well as loungers for sunbathing by the pool.

The Main canava can accommodate up to 4 guests in 2 separate bedrooms and is built between the east and west canavas.

A very spacious dining room, shed with ample natural light welcomes our guests with its large monastery style table which can comfortably sit 12 guests. The kitchen is carved in the rock and designed as a separate area with easy access to the dining hall. Two circular pits in the floor used for treading grapes during wine making have been preserved, covered with glass and are beautifully lit, adding to the special character of this place.

There are two high vaulted ceiling bedrooms in main canava, each with its own en-suite bathroom. One is especially large room carved into the volcanic rock, with a comfortable built-in queen size bed, dressing area with mirror and a large cave style bathroom with bathtub and rainfall shower.

The second bedroom has a comfortable double wrought iron bed, antique furniture, mirror and its own en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.

A large Suite with high vaulted ceiling bedroom and living room is situated at the upper level.

The suite's living room enjoys uninterrupted panoramic views to the caldera, the volcano and the Aegean sea through its three large windows. It offers an open plan kitchen with double sofa-bed and connects to the main bedroom through a wooden door. Outside the living room there is a canopied veranda with table and chairs alongside our Mediterranean herb garden pots. Don’t hesitate to add a touch of fresh in your cocktails.

The suite's master bedroom has a comfortable queen size wrought iron bed, en suite bathroom with cave style rain shower and access to its own veranda. It includes outdoor hydromassage hot tub, umbrella and sunbeds as well as a table and chairs for two.

All bedrooms and living rooms have their own individually controlled A/C.

All our bathrooms are luxury cave style indoor rooms that close with a door separating them from the bedrooms. They are decorated elegantly and built using an old traditional Santorinian technique for the walls and floors in order to retain an atmosphere of authentic Santorinian residence. They are all equipped with standard modern bathroom amenities, hair drier and ventilation systems. There is hot water individually controlled and available at all times.

There is morning and afternoon maid service provided with your permission.
