Lake Murray/Chapin - Comfy home with boat ramp and dock on a quiet cove

Spacious home on a quiet road and deep water cove on Lake Murray, near Chapin. Bright and open living area, full of light with a view of the water. Dock, boat ramp, spacious front and back lawn for playing cornhole. Room over the garage boasts a pool table, flat screen Roku TV and another full (although kids' size) bath. Deck w/ gas firepit, Big Green Egg and a gas grill with a table for 6 and an umbrella. Ping pong in garage.

Each bedroom has comfy beds with pillows, high quality sheets, USB power strips for charging your devices, and Roku TV.

Well equipped kitchen, including Instant Pot, air fryer, blender, griddle, electric skillet, toaster oven, Keurig and coffee pot. Decent knives, wooden utensils and Hexclad non-stick pans. Plenty of dishes, utensils, baking pans, and cooking tools. Spices and basics like sugar, flour, salt, cooking oils and vinegars.

There is a nice boat ramp and room to park your boat trailer. Ask for more details if you have a boat larger than 24'. Garage access for storage, but not for parking. Drop-cord to get power to the dock.

For Fun: Two stand-up paddleboards, cornhole, ping-pong, giant connect four, pool table, puzzles, books and board games. Beach towels provided. Life jackets available upon request.

This is our happy place. The five nearby houses are occupied by full-time residents who are mostly retired. Each of them has a friendly dog that you might encounter. This is a perfect place for a relaxing family vacation, a fishing trip, or a quiet getaway. If you're looking for a place for a party, reunion or large get-together, this isn't the place for you. We expect our guests to respect our home and our neighbors. If at anytime we feel like this is not happening, we'll have to ask you to leave.

Peaceful and well-stocked retreat

Although our stay was brief, we had enough time to appreciate all this property has to offer. The location provides a peaceful and quiet opportunity to commune with nature, surrounded by the birds chirping and frogs singing. Of course, the calming lake waters added to the serenity. In addition to the wonderful setting, the home is so well stocked that we lacked for nothing, from the kitchen supplies to all of the games. The only problem with this property is that it was so perfect we want to leave! We’ll be back!

Perfect getaway

The house has everything you need and more. Very clean and organized. So many fun things for the kids to do. We took our Grandchildren ages 3 & 5. They enjoyed the games, fishing, catching fish, frogs and fireflies. My husband loved that the boat ramp was easily accessible. Would definitely stay again.

Fun family oasis!

Property is better than described!!We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen and loved the peaceful view from the back deck. Bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed. Living room is a great gathering spot and packed with fun games. As comfortable as the inside spaces, the outdoor deck and dock provide a great opportunity to enjoy the lake. We will definitely return!!

At the Lake

The sign reads, "Life is better at the lake." Well, life is the best at Eleazars. Always well-kept and ready for us when we arrive. Wonderful property and we look forward to returning again. Lake Murray and the Chapin/Lexington/Columbia area offer multiple activities for the entire family. Or just relax and enjoy the beauty of South Carolina and this home.

Great Stay

This place is wonderful! We found the property very peaceful, placed in a little cove at the lake. If you had a boat, there's plenty of space for a trailer, and they had their own boat ramp. There’s tons of wildlife. We seen deer running around, geese, ducks, birds, a fox! We found the house is probably the most accommodating that we have ever stayed in. They have paddle boards, corn hole boards, , gas grill, charcoal grill. They even had a spare tank of propane! They have any kitchen utensils you could dream of, cast iron dutch ovens, kureg We highly recommend this property, and would stay again!

Wonderful week at Lake Murray

We had such a great family vacation at Lake Murray, and this lovely home was a huge part of that. The convenience of a boat ramp and dock was a big bonus so we could bring our boat and easily get it in the water. We loved having paddleboards and noodles to have fun in the water. And everything in the house we clean, convenient, and labeled so it was easy to find what we needed. And everything we could possibly need was there! It was so comfortable too, and perfect for our family!

Would definitely come back!

This property is located in a quiet cove. The boat launch for our fishing boat was the easiest we ever had. The house itself was wonderful; spacious, clean and comfortable with a lot of little extras that made it more special. When we needed to reach out to the owners they responded promptly. We loved staying here and would go back

Favorite Lake House on Lake Murray

Another summer lake vacation at our favorite lake house for my family was an absolute success! The views from the back yard & dock are breath taking. The house was spotless and accommodated everything we needed and more. The dock, boat ramp, and big back porch is such a big plus for us. We love to swim and go boating right from the dock. My two girls loved the big connect four game and my new favorite was the string lights in the back yard. How host was very friendly and on point with any questions we had. It's always hard for us to leave at the end of the week. I highly recommend the house and we will be staying again next summer. Thank you for letting us share your beautiful home!

Yearly Lake Murray getaway

We had an awesome stay at this rental! This scour 5th year coming to lake Murray and definitely one of our favorite properties. The house is clean and very well organized with everything you would ever need plus some. The host has meticulously labeled everything so it’s very easy to find things…even light switches! Lots of games for night time fun. My kids loved swimming off dock and fishing. We brought a small boat and really liked being able to use boat ramp. Great views from the house and back deck. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to comin back!

Always a Pleasure

We've enjoyed staying at this location previously and we certainly did again. Inside and outside this place is great for everyone young and old. Well supplied, clean, spacious and comfortable are only a few words to describe this home which is located near Chapin on a lovely quiet cove. We look forward to returning soon.

Beautiful property

Really enjoyed our stay. The boat ramp and dock were fantastic for our bass boat, so convenient. Property was very clean, great layout, beautiful lake views and lots of wildlife to enjoy. Lake life

We had a wonderful long weekend get away! This property was very clean and well stocked not only in the kitchen, but has items to use in the lake. The kids really enjoyed the paddle board!! Extra beach towels was helpful for us not to have to pack so much stuff. We are hoping to return next year!

Another successful 4th of July Vacation!

My family and I absolutely had a wonderful stay, again. We love the layout of the house, backyard, and new dock. Cove is quiet and perfect for my two young daughters to swim and paddleboard. Boat ramp in yard is a plus for us too. Definitely will be staying again and again.

Great location on the lake

We had a wonderful stay at Fran’s. The house was fully stocked and in a perfect location. We had some trouble with the fridge and Fran was so responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend the home and would book again in a heartbeat!

Lake Living

We had a fantastic time! The property is set at the end of a cove which is quite and beautiful. It has a new dock and the house has a wonderful view of the lake side. Ceiling to floor windows. Rooms were very nice. Our family had a great time here. We will be back someday.

Great lake house!

We had a great time at this wonderful lake house! It is on a cove, very private, has its own boat ramp and new dock. The outdoor space was great and the house was very clean and well stocked. Fran was a great hostess. We enjoyed fishing, boating, enjoying the lake view and watching the birds.

I've wanted to live on the lake since I came to Carolina in 1984. When the opportunity arose to buy a lake house, I jumped at the chance. Our first summer there was absolutely magical! I knew I would rent it since my sister rented her house on Lake Murray for 15 years, and I loved reading her guest book messages. Her home brought so much joy to so many families, I wanted to do the same.

The sun comes up over the cove, which allows for cool shade on the dock and backyard in the late afternoon. There are just 6 houses in the immediate area, occupied by full-time residents. In addition to deer, rabbits, a couple of heron, ducks, and geese, you'll likely see one or more of the neighbor's dogs zooming across the yard.

The house is between the quaint towns of Chapin and Ballentine. There are a number of local restaurants within about a 15 minute drive. Grab a maple bacon doughnut and a cup of fresh coffee from Chicken Butt Doughnuts, a handmade burger from Higher Ground Char House, or a lakeside dinner at Liberty Tap House at the Marina.

There is a boat ramp on the property, a dock for your boat, and room for the boat trailer. Please let us know if you'll be bringing a boat so we can give you more instructions on how to back it down the ramp without driving on the lawn!

There is a large garage that you can use for storing coolers, and lake toys you might bring, etc. but the ping pong table takes up one bay, and cornhole, paddleboard and chaise lounges, are in another bay, so there isn't room to park your car inside.

Gas (regular and marine) and a large convenience store with a hot buffet and packaged food, drinks wine and beer, is 2 miles away at Palmetto Roads.
Publix Supermarket is 6 miles away.
Dreher Island State Park is about 17 miles from the house by land, or 5 miles by water.
University of South Carolina is about 36 minutes.
The Town of Chapin is about 6 miles.
The Town of Ballentine is about 8 miles.
Columbia Metropolitan Airport, 27 miles
