This low-rise, 19-unit property is nestled along the white sandy beaches of The Gulf of Mexico and allows guests to enjoy a vacation filled with peace and uncrowded beaches. The courtyard style architecture puts the swimming pool in the center of the complex for easy access. Each unit has private balconies or patios allowing for a wonderful place to unwind. Enjoy nearby restaurants, entertainment, entertainment, and shopping. Retreat and relax while making great memories along the beaches of The Emerald Coast

This 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo includes: A fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals, a dining area, and balcony access off the kitchen. A living room with a queen size sleeper sofa and large flat screen TV. A set of twin bunk beds in the hallway (Great for the kids). This was a wonderful condo for a Labor Day weekend getaway for my family. The unit is very spacious. Weā€™ve stayed at other condos in Okaloosa that felt very cramped, but this had plenty of room and great amenities. Our daughter loved the bunk bed and the bedroom was very large and comfortable. While not directly ā€œon the beachā€ this place is just steps away from one of the many public beach access points in Okaloosa, plus it comes with complementary beach service, which is hard to beat. Communication with the property manager was great and they were very helpful and accommodating. The beach and the water were amazing as always. This is definitely a place we would try to book again.

Excellent place to stay! Small complex makes it feel like you're just hanging out in your own little piece of the world. Short walk to the beach requires no shoes and the beach service makes it so easy to just walk down and enjoy. We have already booked for next year.

Relaxed honeymoon

We loved this little condo. The renovations made it fresh and pretty, and the kitchen is equipped nicely. The beach is just a couple minute walk, and the pool was small but nice. We appreciated having the washer and dryer too. We had a wonderfully relaxing week, and we hope to come back again soon.

Beach getaway

The room was very clean. Looked just like the pictures online. A short walk to the beach. The check in process was easy. My only complaint would be the people who stayed above us was very loud and you could hear every step they took. Other than that the location was great. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Fort Walton stay

We had a great time and wonderful neighbors. My eight year old nephew locked both doors to the bathroom and at 11:30ish I had to call the property manager, she was wonderful and quickly came to our rescue! After trying to fix the issue she made a phone call to a locksmith and within an hour we were able to get back in. Everyone was very kind and accommodating.

Our Stay

Everything was clean and did not disappoint. I would definitely stay there again. The only issue was a pool party of young folks and they were playing music extremely loud, drinking and cursing. They pretty much lived in the pool so my kids couldnā€™t enjoy it. Another guest went down and said something to them. Other than that everything was great.

More for families, not for couples

We are not a people that need a lot but we feel for the price, that our expectations were fair. To start, the dinning room table light didnā€™t work, no biggie. Then, when we went to bed the first night, there was a lot of sand in the sheets which made us question if they had been washed from the prior guestsā€¦but again not a huge deal. We just washed them. My husband and I continued to just enjoy ourselves. We have very stressful jobs. Heā€™s an engineer, Iā€™m a nurse so we desperately needed this. Next, the guests were extremely inconsiderate. They were very loud in the pool from the evening till 11 p.m on ALL 4 nights. We understood they were kids/teenagers on vacation but some decency would have gone a long way and we had to go out and ā€œgive a faceā€ more than once on more than one occasion. A girl in the pool stated there was ā€œglobs of hair in the waterā€. So we of course, never got to swim in the pool and even then, the water was cloudy. In the room above us, people started jumping every morning around 7-9 a.m. We would have liked to have more than 2 rolls of toilet paper but thatā€™s somewhat understandable. We stayed in 2B and thereā€™s a wasps nest on the ceiling above the balcony about the size of a fist. We did like that there was plenty of cookware, towels and the couch and refrigerator was very nice/well kept. Furthermore, I got locked out of the room on Wednesday afternoon even though our checkout wasnā€™t till Thursday at 10 am. Luckily, my husband went back to the room before I did, so we never got fully locked out but couldnā€™t leave until we left for our flight. To conclude, we unfortunately, do not recommend this property and will not be back but we do wish the best to the owners and future guests. We hope our review can be beneficial. Thank you.

I am so sorry about your experience and your stay. The dining rom table light is on a dimmable switch which you have to push in and turn. The sheets is a huge NO NO, and we have since let the cleaning staff go due to that issue. All beds are always made with clean linens and bedding. We also apologize about the noise level. Sunset Cottages is a wood frame building. We only manage 4 in the complex- so we apologize if there was excessive noise. We hope you will reconsider coming back.

Excellent stay

Our check in process was flawless, we ended up arriving early and was able to check in early which is almost unheard of. The location was a little further than anticipated from Destin and Sandestin, however Fort Walton had plenty of exceptional places to offer as well. Very short walk to the beach! We were happy to see the pool was in such great condition, most of our vacation experiences the pool isn't working or it isn't kept up. We wish it had a view, but we obviously knew that upon booking that it didn't have one. The host was very responsive and did little nice things like kept trash bags, laundry detergent, a vacuum kids, kids games, a nice kitchen set and Tupperware and dish soap. That was a nice personal touch. Absolutely above and beyond. Perfect for a family stay. The only complaint I could have is if the cleaner tried to clean the bathroom a little better. There was still hair in the shower from the previous guest and the side of the vanity seemed like it could use a wipe down. But overall we felt more comfortable with the cleanliness than any hotel! Excellent job Kimberely Lang Properties. We will be back!

We sincerely appreciate the feedback. The owners have gone over and beyond to provide all the comforts of home. We do apologize about the cleanliness. It has been a very busy challenging season with staffing and cleaners, however have brought this to their attention to ensure it does not happen again.
