Have it all steps away from this newly renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. Full central A/C. Your family will enjoy this home with all that it offers. Walk to a sandy beach on great peconic bay, shopping, restaurants, tennis, community theater, and ice cream.
Take a dip in our brand-new inground pool or spend time in our outside living space.
All that the North Fork offers is in your backyard. Visit local wineries, choices of several beaches, and other outdoor activities, including hikes, kayaking, fishing, and sandcastles.
A large family room with lots of natural light, a large kitchen with an eat-in table for 4, a living room, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms provide enough living space for a relaxing summer retreat.
The pool area has secure fencing around it, and the entire backyard has an additional enclosed fence. The grounds have many mature trees that offer good shade.

The setting of the house and the view was even more stunning than in the pictures. The house is very clean and charming and convenient. Great location. Very close to private beach and supermarket. The owners were very friendly and responsive and accommodating throughout the whole stay. Will most likely come back next year.Steyd 31 nights in July 2025

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach and in the heart of Mattituck. And the house has everything you need for a fun summer stay, especially the pool! We hope to stay again!

Good on the North Fork

Second stay, twice as nice:)

We returned for a second visit - this time we were able to visit the lovely Mattebella vineyard with exceptional wines and waterskied/tubed with the nice folks at Peconic Water Sports. The house was a charming home base, as slways (details in our earlier review). Treat yourself to Mattituck!

Great trouble free vacation

From checking in on day one to check out on day 14 not one little problem.Communication with Joe was excellent.We spent most of our time between the private beach and the wonderful backyard pool.Friends who live in the area took us to some excellent restaurants which we enjoyed very much. Everything in the house and grounds was very neat.. We left a pillow behind and Joe & Diane were great meeting my son halfway to return the pillow. Thanks again for a great vacation!

Wonderful

Cozy clean house, beautiful pool in backyard. Right down the block from a private beach area. Perfect for families with small children. Playground down the block. Other end of the block has a shopping center will all amenities a family can need - CVS, magic fountain ice cream, pizza, tacos, burgers, movie theater, Starbucks, food store. Despite being so close to all this, it still feels like you are far far away from it all while sitting in the backyard.

Relaxing

We had a great two week stay at Joe and Diane’s place. They were very responsive to all our questions and we had quite a few considering we were not even sure we would still travel due to COVID. We decided to still go on vacation and did not regret it! Joe and Diane even accommodated a last minute request to add two additional guests for a few days. The pool was great for our son and we loved the little beach at the end of the block. The neighbors were very friendly and had an adorably sweet pup who would visit often! Our son used the provided kids kayak almost everyday. Although activities were limited due to COVID we found many beaches where we could easily socially distance and ordered in food quite a bit. The house had everything we needed. And the two living rooms were ideal for adult/kid separation in the evenings. We are very much looking forward to returning to the North Fork next year.

Delightful house in beautiful Mattituck!

We had a wonderful two-week stay in this charming two-bedroom with amazing outdoor space. The house itself is very well laid-out, with a large kitchen, two separate sitting rooms with televisions, and two bedrooms (one of which has a double and twin bed - perfect for the kids). There are two bathrooms, one of them huge and recently renovated conveniently located just by the back door for rinsing off after playing in the brand new pool or beautifully landscaped spacious yard. There is a lovely patio overlooking the back yard with a grill for outdoor dining, complete with fairy lights and very tasteful yard and pool lighting. And I've saved the best for last - the beach! I had never spent much time at a bay beach before, and let me tell you it is wonderful. The water is calm enough to kayak or paddle board and it's so peaceful. And a 5 minute walk from the house! We spent our days alternating between the beach, the pool and the Magic Fountain, a locally famous ice cream shop up the street (also walking distance). Actually, everything is walking distance, but we did drive to the grocery store just because of the heavy load we were purchasing. The house was well-appointed, with all the kitchen implements you'd need and (my personal favorite) a spacious pantry with plenty of empty shelves for storing your dry goods. Ample drawer space and closet space available in bedrooms, and nice, clean pillows/sheets/blankets. Joe and Diane were a pleasure to communicate with and the neighbors were so very friendly. This house and Mattituck are both truly special! We can't wait to return.

Two fabulous weeks!

We just spent two relaxing weeks at Joe and Diane's home. The location is perfect. The bay is down the block from the house and we also had access to several beaches within a few minutes drive too (our favorite was Breakwater beach). The house has a private heated pool which we really enjoyed having right in the beautiful back yard. The deck with the grill was very useful and we were able to have our morning coffee while admiring the landscaping. The house is very clearn, well equiped and comfortable. The WiFI is reliable with a strong signal. The neighbors are very friendly and the area has a relaxed and friendly "vibe". We found many anmenities within walking distance. The owners provided detailed and useful instructions and were very responsive the one time we contacted them; otherwise, they left you to enjoy their home. We highly recomend staying at this property- it has everything you need! L&H

Wonderful experience!

My wife and I cannot express how wonderful of an experience this was during the entire month of February. Joe and Diane accepted us with very short notice at the end of January. We had to travel from Maine to Mattituck, L.I. as our mother/in-law became very ill, needed to be hospitalized, and then transferred to a skilled nursing facility. What a joy it was coming "home" every day to this most comfortable of homes. Joe & Diane thought of everything here....spacious house, fully equipped kitchen (great for making meals at days end, fenced in yard, and literally, all the comforts of home. Their responses to our communications were almost immediate, and they are the nicest and most cordial people to work with. This was a life changing event for us, and we will always be grateful for the experience of staying here last month - what an emotional difference it made! We would not hesitate to reach out again at any point in the future to them both if we needed a home-away-from-home, and are so very grateful again to Joe and Diane for their kindness and professionalism alike. Isn't It Great When a Property is Exactly How it Looks in the Listing?

I stayed here while waiting to get into a more permanent rental property. The house was clean, comfortable and stylish. The owner was responsive and available but left us alone to enjoy our stay - so easy going. Great location with a short walk to bay one way and Magic Fountain ice cream and market the other. Would highly recommend.

Great location to getaway in the north fork.

Great location on the north fork. Centrally located in Mattituck so easy to get anywhere farms, vineyards, beaches or further out East. But also close enough to Riverhead for big box stores ie Target if needed. The house is located on a block with access to a lovely private beach but also very close to the main town and Magic Fountain- the best ice cream shop. Joe was a good communicator with quick responses. The house also has a pool which we couldn’t use because the time of year, but would be great in the summer.

Lucky enough to spend summers growing up in Mattituck, we knew we would purchase a home there. Memories filled with long, relaxing beach days or rainy days visiting the movie theater or library, and many Monopoly marathons, we could not stay away and think you will feel the same about our home and favorite town. As our boys grew, our family took full advantage of the beaches, hiking trails and parks. Out east, our family escapes the hectic pace of everyday life to recharge "our" batteries.

Enjoy summer cookouts on the deck in our shaded, large, private yard or walk to one of many restaurants nearby.
