Immerse yourself in the tropical landscapes of the Placencia Peninsula at Black Orchid, a treehouse-style cabana with plenty of light coming in through the large windows. Your cabana is equipped with a kitchenette that includes a refrigerator, freezer, blender, juicer, microwave, electric stove, toaster oven, and coffee maker to make snacks or meals. For a change of pace, try the common BBQ area with picnic seating and sear something on the grill. Walk home from the beach each afternoon to dine outside on the veranda, take a nap in the hammock, and curl up to watch your streaming favorites on the Netflix-equipped smart TV.

This property is located in Surfside, a five-minute walk from the beach and the Caribbean Sea. You can choose to spend the day relaxing in the sun, fishing, snorkeling around the coral reef, or chartering a boat to take out on the water. There's a miniature golf course within walking distance, as well as a number of restaurants, bars, and a supermarket in Surfside.

THINGS TO KNOW
No on-site pool available, however, most resorts in Maya Beach will offer pool access if food or drinks are purchased. The nearest resort with these facilities is a 5-minute walk away.
AC is available in the bedrooms only.

There are stairs to reach the house and ladder steps to get to the living space on the mezzanine level.

Good location for work away, but donā€™t plan on bicycles to get around

I spent nearly a month in Belize, avoiding winter. I chose this location because it was far away from the hustle and bustle of town, but also planned on using the bicycles mentioned in the listing to get around, as taxis are incredibly expensive. No bikes, and theyā€™re not replacing them, so if you need to get to the grocery store itā€™s about a 30 min walk. I recommend going right when they open at 8am before it gets too hot. Otherwise, property was more space than I needed, and the AC in the bedroom worked great! Youā€™re right on the road, so traffic noise can be loud during the day, and there was road construction the whole time I was there, so holding meetings was difficult. But otherwise quiet at night.

Excellent Service and great property

From the moment I rented this cabana, I began to receive great communication from Vacasa. Zun was our on-site concierge. She was phenomenal. She gave us the greatest recommendations for dining, groceries, and anything else we needed. She even booked our snorkel tour for us. We would absolutely love to stay here again.

Amazing cabanas in Placencia

This place is stunning and well thought ! Beautiful suspended cabanas in the middle of nature. I truly enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to anyone. Clean, modern, well decorated, atypical. I loved it! Zun was very welcoming and gave us great tips about Placencia, places to visit, where to eat etc.

I loved everything about the place secluded ans spacious and very homily. My only problem was the TV was in the loft and the climb up there is not for the aging but for young ppl but over all I loved it and would recommend to my friends and family.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was modern, clean comfortable and had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. We really loved how it resembled a tree house and was somewhat open to the elements. The loft was really cool and good to chill out in.

Bed is comfy and there is A/C in the bedroom if you wish to use it. The location is conveniently located near a village where you can pick up food and supplies. Overall, fantastic experience!

Amazing!

I had a wonderful time staying here for two weeks. I have seen other cabanas but not like these. These are unique and exceptional. Also as you would expect the cabana I stayed in was very comfortable and very clean. It had all the equipment that anyone would need. Sitting out on the decking it was just magical listening to the bird songs and the sound of waves lapping onto the beach not too far away. The owners, Chris and Zun, were very welcoming and only too happy to help with anything. I highly recommend their beautiful cabanas.
