Steps from Lake Erie & Close to Cedar Point

GREAT family vacation home to enjoy along the beautiful shores of Lake Erie.

Our property is located in a family friendly neighborhood with a small private beach (rocky water entrance and water shoes recommended), picnic area, full size basketball court and picnic tables just steps away for your enjoyment. We also provide two Kayaks at the house, for recreational use. Please bring your own lifejackets!

Our home offers an open floor plan for your family to enjoy a great time exploring along Lake Erie. Come stay in our beautiful home!

The patio out back is equipped with a brand new (May 2024) gas grill (propane tank provided) and an outdoor patio with seating for 6 while taking in the gorgeous lake views. Enjoy an evening around the fire ring!

Large gourmet kitchen with dishwasher, gas range, air fryer, oven and large refrigerator. Also included is a blender, toaster, 12 cup coffee pot (filters provided), Keurig Coffee station upstairs with starter pods.

High speed wireless internet throughout the home. LED smart TV in living room and 2 of the bedrooms with basic cable. Our home has a full size washer & dryer available with detergent and dryer sheets for your use. For the chilly nights, there is a gas fireplace and outdoor fire pit ready for s`mores (roasting sticks available).

Our house is pet friendly! Please disclose if you plan on bringing a furry friend! We allow 2 pets maximum, with a non-refundable pet fee.

3 Bedrooms on second floor - Sleeps 6 in beds (all linens and towels provided):

Bed 1: Captain`s Quarters - Queen Bed attached to Full Bathroom and Smart TV (balcony access)

Bed 2: Admiral`s Den- Queen Bed with Smart Tv (balcony access)

Bed 3: First Mates` Room - 2 Twin Beds (not bunked)

* Additional Double Fold out Futon & Full Bathroom on First Floor

* Double High Queen Air Mattress, Pack n` Play and Highchair available upon request

* A baby gate is located at the bottom of the stairs

Parking:
There is a large gravel parking area, 33 ft x 22 ft, conveniently by the front door. It can easily accommodate 4 cars. There is no street parking after 10 PM by city ordinance.

You will have all 1700 sq. feet available for your Lake Escape enjoyment.

I am a Huron resident only a mile down the road. I am available to show you around at check in but at your preference, we have a keypad code available.

The Rye Beach neighborhood is a safe and family friendly neighborhood. The property sits adjcent to the neighborhood private park that offers a large playground, picnic area, basketball courts and access to the water and fishing pier.

The driveway can only accommodate 4 vehicles. There is no street parking or parking on the lawn per city ordinance and will be ticketed. This is strictly enforced.
Dogs need to have owner pre-approval and pay non-refundable pet fee ($20/day). 2 dogs maximum. NO CATS.
If a pet is on premise without prior approval and pet fee paid, you will be asked to leave the property and forfeit your stay with us. We just ask that you be a responsible dog owner.

We found the property and area around it enchanting. It was right near the lake, a thirty second ramble to the snug little private Rye Beach.The house itself is cozy and comfortable. It has an open plan on the first floor, with three smaller bedrooms upstairs with a large bathroom. There were four beds, two queen size and two single split between three rooms.The lake is perfectly visible and close, especially from the upper balcony accessible from two of the bedrooms.The park next to the property was well maintained and seemed to have a good amount of stuff for kids. We had no kids but did have dogs, and they enjoyed being walked around it and visiting the lake.The neighborhood is a bit of a maze of small streets and seems to have a lot of remodeling happening at the moment. Once you arrive at the house however there is plenty of space.Overall we had a wonderful time and felt like we were in good attentive hands due to the helpful host and number of amenities within the house.

Wonderful Lake Erie getaway with all the comforts of home. Very clean! The coffee station in the master bedroom was our favorite personal touch! Marcy was incredibly accommodating and attentive, and warmly welcomed us to Huron, OH. She checked in with us during inclement weather and gave us a bunch of local attraction advice and info. Host and location are gems! Would definitely book again if we find ourselves in the area.

Holiday Retreat

Several times a year we visit family in the area & love the Rye Beach area. Close to everything we do.We travel with a med. sized dog and look for properties that allow him. I choose this property for our After Christmas visit because of the lake views & Christmas decor. Upstairs deck provides a relaxing lakeview! A Coffee station in Captains room provides everything for a relaxing morning. All BRs have very comfortable beds!Upstairs full bathroom is Jack & Jill, attached to the main BR with a hallway access for the other 2BRs. I found the third BR to be tight on storage and encouraged use of the many vanity drawers in this bathroomThe open floor plan and many windows of the first floor great room, provided space for everyone with excellent views. Two lounging areas as well as two dining tables quickly became areas for office, eating, relaxing by the fireplace or playing with toys in front of the TV.EVERYONE had room to move while still being together.This is the first house where we could expand and enjoy without restrictions for our dog, who regularly checks on his people (not cage trained). Enjoyed the patio on this level for convenient dog walks to neighboring park. Happy with fully equipped kitchen -provided the resources to prepare and set buffet style meals. Host provided many small touches - charging station, toys, games, folding chairs, fire pit with wood & starter.Laundry/full accessible bathroom conveniently located off front entry. Professional Host!

Wonderful, Spacious Home with Beautiful Views

My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights to celebrate his birthday, and on one day, we invited his 95-year-old mother and a few other family members (including young children) to join us for lunch. It was perfect, as she could get in the house easily, we could share a barbecue lunch, and the little ones could play on the playground and look for lake glass. Other than that event, we had a great, relaxing time with perfect weather. We enjoyed the community, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, welcoming ambiance, a few local restaurants, and the comfort and amenities of this home. Marcy is a great host, helping us not only with details and check-in but helping to retrieve something we left behind. This is a great place to stay, and we'd love to return.

Beautiful!

This is our 7th year staying at Rye Beach park but our first year at Marcy’s property. The location is perfect being right next to the playground and beach. The beach was the best we’ve seen it over the years, it was more sandy than rocky this year (but we know that it is always dependent on the winter weather and the winds). The views are unmatched from the upper deck (and the amazingly comfortable glider chairs!) and the lower porch. The home was very clean! Had everything we needed. Plenty of space for 9 of us to make the place home for the week. Loved the large dining table plus an additional large table for the kids to set up shop for building legos and play games. We loved this space so much we rebooked for 2025 before getting home! Thank you so much Marcy!

Family and Dog Friendly retreat

This was a lovely little house near the water. The space was just like the online listing- the only surprises were pleasant ones! My family of 5 humans and 2 dogs had a wonderful holiday. Marcy had so many little touches to make the space warm, inviting and stylish. The second floor balcony was a perfect place to sit and watch the lake.

A great Christmas weekend

We had such a blast at this weekend getaway. Great location with the playground right next door and the water a very short walk away. We were able to enjoy a relaxing family weekend with all the amenities at our fingertips. Host was more than accommodating making sure we had everything we needed for our stay including a high chair and pack and play for the grand baby. 10/10 recommend - and we would definitely book again!!!

A Great Lake Erie Spot

A fun location next to a playground, and a very short walk to Lake Erie. The host is very responsive and helpful. Our group had a great time at Vermilion’s Main Street Beach and the Merry-Go-Round museum in Sandusky

Pet Friendly - Great Communication

We stayed for a weekend basketball tournament at the Cedar Point Sports Center, which is only a few miles away. House was clean and well equipped. Marcy was very accommodating and communicated clearly throughout our stay.

Great family stay

Our trip was excellent. We had a quick three day trip to the house with our family. The place was very clean and a great location. Fantastic little touches of hospitality spread throughout the house. The host was great at communicating before and during our trip. We had everything we needed. The lake out back was so convenient as was the park next door for the kids. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Perfect lake house escape!

This property is an absolute gem. We loved everything about staying here. The house is impeccably clean and cared for. Comfortable beds, wonderful kitchen and relaxing living space. The view of Lake Erie is beautiful, especially from the upper deck. Our 4yo said it best when she said "I never want to leave this house". Marcy's communication was amazing. Had the best time, would recommend to all.
