Host was prompt in responding and accommodating for a late check out. Easy access. It kept us warm in the cold night and loved that we could go for a little walk and find a little hill with beautiful trees to explore a bit without going too far.House was mostly clean, bathroom (with plenty of towels) and bedrooms were good (however closets were full of random things and the extra linens/blankets were laid out a bit messy). The kitchen had some unpleasant surprises. Such as wet sponge drying on top of the wooden counter. And no clean sponge to use. But under the sink there were a lot of old dry sponges and some weird smell. There were at least two open Tapatio containers, but no oil to cook. Old expired tortillas in a cabinet. Bunch of condiments that seemed rather old. The freezer had old open but wrapped bacon among other things and fridge had expired closed both, among other things. And it wasn’t super clean. It’s an old home, with old heater, old carpet and old lighting, but it’s an affordable cabin, and we were there for a night to rest and leave the next day with our littles. It did the job. My kids were entertained while we were there; There was a tv in each room and common area, lots of toys for kids kinda tossed in a corner and things such as pack-n-play and other baby stuff available.
