Introducing the newly renovated Cabin at Hidden Cove, located on beautiful Lake Murray in Chapin, South Carolina. The cabin, originally constructed in the 1880s, was completely renovated from top to bottom in 2019 and is now outfitted with a state-of-the-art Control4 smart house system to complement its comfortable, rustic ambiance. This cabin has been aptly described as ā€œLittle House on the Prairie meets Star Trek!ā€ A mounted touch screen is simple to use, and controls all lighting and electronics, including in-ceiling surround sound speakers in the den, kitchen and on the lakeside deck. Choose your entertainment, from cable television, streaming video and music services, or play your own music throughout the cabin from your phone or tablet. The cabin features two bedrooms, a large bathroom, unlimited hot water from a tankless water heater, washer/dryer, a gas fireplace, beautifully restored heart-of-pine floors and a huge deck overlooking the water. In the brand new kitchen, you will find everything you need to prepare culinary delights, including a refrigerator/freezer, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and dimmable enhanced lighting above and below the cabinets to create a cozy, classy ambiance. After dinner, sit on the covered deck listening to your favorite tunes, and enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Murray.
A dock and boat ramp are provided, as well, so feel free to bring your own boat, or ask us about the local boat rentals that are available. We have two kayaks and a paddle board available for your use - they are located beside the boat ramp by the dock.
The Cabin at Hidden Cove is a completely unique experience on Lake Murray ā€“ a rustic feel with all of the modern conveniences of the 21st century.

I came down to fish a tournament on Lake Murray. The house was very close to a local boat ramp.I was able to relax after a long day of fishing. The entertainment system was really nice. The hosts were very nice and accommodating.

The cabin was fantastic! All you need for a nice relaxing lakefront getaway. We really enjoyed the music inside and on the porch. We also got great use of the kayaks and paddleboards. The house is clean. Perfect for a small family!

The Cabin was perfect for a long weekend. 4 adults and 1 teenager, the cabin was just the right size. We utilized the dock for our boat and there is plenty of parking for your trailer. The furnishings in the cabin are perfect; clean, modern and the sound system is clutch! We highly recommend!

Another Great Stay!

We have stayed at Tom and Lauraā€™s cabin several times. Always enjoy sitting on the porch listening and watching the birds, 15 different birds in less than 10 minutes, one morning. The cabin is a special place so local family even enjoy coming over to hang out. Highly recommend!

Super cute and clean cabin on the lake. Hosts responsive to any questions and very accommodating. Beds are full size in both bedrooms but we're just fine for us. Porch and view are fantastic.

Weekend trip

This house was perfect for us to spend a little time on the lake. Very cute and clean. The veiw was beautiful. The only thing I would change is the size of the bed, it's a little small for a couple. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanksgiving getaway

We traveled from out of state to visit family in South Carolina. This cabin gave us the extra space that we needed along with charm and outdoor activities as a bonus! We enjoyed kayaking in the lake and going for walks as a family in the evenings. The home was very comfortable and clean and felt like home. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

The Cabin at Hidden Cove has been in the Moses family for over 60 years, and the cabin itself was built (we believe) around the 1880's. The cabin was completely renovated in 2019, including a brand new kitchen and bathroom, new front and back porches, all new furniture, and a state-of-the-art electronics system that is integrated into a Control4 smart house package. Keyless touchpad locks on the front and back doors are programmed with the last 4 digits of your telephone number so you can't forget your entry code, and unlocking the door also activates the indoor lighting and music. Locking the door with the keypad also shuts down the television, music and lighting. Dishwasher, and washer/dryer included, as well as fast WiFi.

A wall-mounted touch screen operates the television, indoor and outdoor music, dimmable lighting, and even the door locks. In-ceiling speakers in the den, kitchen and back porch provide streaming music, news, or play your own music or movies from your phone or iPad. At bedtime, a "goodnight" icon on the touch screen shuts down the television, music, and most of the lighting. The rustic cabin features granite counter tops, dimmable under and over cabinet lighting in the kitchen, a gas log fireplace on chilly evenings, and unlimited hot water from the on-demand water heater. The property also includes its own dedicated dock and boat ramp, so that you may bring your own boat or jet skis, or take advantage of boat/jet ski rental options on Lake Murray (with a delivery and pick-up service, if desired).

Local wildlife includes deer, ducks, foxes, bald eagles, herons, red-tailed hawks, osprey, and an assortment of other birds. The brand new landscaping features exterior lighting that creates a magical ambience at night, and guests have thoroughly enjoyed watching evening thunderstorms from the lakeside covered deck, with the sound of rain falling on the metal roof. The deck also includes a grill and a table and chairs for outdoor dining.
