This charming cottage is the perfect place to unwind and leave the cares of life behind! Located on Tourist Road, this home with a great dock, offers a prime location for watersport enthusiasts of all types!
Cedar shake shingles will catch your eye the moment you pull into the drive. A beautiful limestone fireplace will warm the hearth on those cool evenings as well as refresh the soul after a long day of play. The hardwood floors and wide pine tongue and groove paneling adds to the nostalgia this home offers. The screened gazebo is the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset or play a game or two. This is a place where memories are made!

This four-bedroom home comfortably sleeps 8. The main floor Master features a queen size bed. The main floor bath is large with a walk-in shower. Bedroom two is located upstairs and offers two twin beds. Bedroom three is also upstairs and features two twin beds. Bedroom four is accessed thru bedroom three and features a full bed with lake view. The shared upstairs bath features a shower.

· If you are making this reservation within 24 hours of arrival please call for check in instructions.
· Check-In after 4 PM. Check-Out by 9 AM. Check in at Drummond Island Hotel & Vacation Homes,
34834 S Townline Road. We will provide you with directions.
· Any fees associated with processing a credit card will NOT be refunded if you cancel your reservation.
· Pets welcome. Pet reservation is required. Please read our Pet Policy. Two Dog max. A $50 per pet fee will be added by Property Manager.
· All reservations have a 30 Day Cancellation Policy.

Only the Best Vacation Spot Ever!

Camp McGinnis was perfect for our family and friends to join us. The cabin and property was very comfortable and well cared for.

Cozy cabin

The epitome of a lake cabin. Loved all the interior wood. Nice deck looking out to the lake. Would stay there again. Very relaxing!

Peaceful Getaway!

We loved our stay at Camp McGinnis--so much so that we booked it again for next year! The property was VERY clean, cozy, and had everything you need for a week away from it all! We enjoyed the lake views from the deck. Great central location for exploring the island.

Worked great!

The cozy cabin worked great for our side x side trip with 3 couples. It was well stocked and very clean. Would stay there there again!

Trail Riding Adventure

Very nice cabin right on the lake, great place to stay for fishing, and or trail riding as we did. Will go back for sure.

Camp McGinnis is fantastic!

If you are looking for a home away vacation, Camp McGinnis is perfect! It was very clean and everything the listing described. You will enjoy amazing sunsets and views. The cabin had everything you needed to make your stay feel like home. You will not be disappointed.

Nothing short of spectacular

The house was as described, what you can’t see in the pictures and property summary is the natural allure of staying on the island, truly is the gem of Huron!! Thank you for sharing the island with us for a week.

Fun at Camp McGinnis

This is a terrific and lovely cottage; loved the knotty pine throughout and the beautiful bay view - enjoyed watching lots of birds including a Great Blue Heron who fished right by the shore, and a Pileated Woodpecker who worked the lawn in front of the deck while we sat there. Very clean and comfortable, and the owners have thought of every amenity you could wish for. We highly recommend it.

Enjoyable Waterfront Cabin

Overall the cabin was great and provided exactly what we were looking for during our stay. The location was good with easy access to town and offroad trails, but what was really great were the views. The cabin could have been a little more tidy, a few random lights were burnt out, the previous renter left some dog poop out front, and some of the landscaping was overgrown, but for a group of guys it wasn't anything worth complaining about. There was plenty of space to park our large trailers with additional space to park and wash our SXSs when needed. The neighbor was very friendly and came over to talk and gave us a lot of information about the island; stuff like that is always nice when exploring a new area. Check-In was quick, but it would be nice to not have to stop at a different location. I would recommend this cabin for those looking to visit Drummond Island.

Thank you for your review. We will mention the lawn concerns to the owners since they manage the lawncare themselves. We have also replaced burned out bulbs and are inspecting behind the cleaners. Thanks again!

Great place to hang out

Just 3 guys and a dog fir a few days of upland bird hunting. Camp McGinis was great, no issues other than a light burned out over the sink. Clean, warm, plenty of room. Many almost tame deer wandering the neighborhood., overall good time.

Cabin on the Island

We had a very enjoyable time in this cabin. Having a dock allowed us to keep our fishing boat in the water. We could sit on the deck, grass or inside the living room and enjoy the lovely lake view. Saw deer frequently, as well as various birds, including an osprey. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Beautiful fireplace for colder evenings, and a nice fire pit outside near the lake. We did a simple trail ride w our vehicle but a lot more out there for the off-road enthusiast, in addition to hiking trails. Overall a very peaceful get away!

Great house, great location

Everything was as described. Home was clean and had extra touches like hand sanitizer and towels and rags to use especially for cleaning up after a day on the trails. Fireplace was a nice touch after a chilly day. Plenty of towels And hot water for.8 people, Hose for cleaning rigs. Close to town and trails. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful long weekend

We had a wonderful time celebrating my youngest son's birthday. The boys were able to fish off the dock and swim. We had bonfires and s'mores and just explored the island.

Great relaxing spot!

This property was fantastic! We had views of both sunrise and sunset on the Island. It was easy to find and very clean. We are planning on coming back!
