Awesome place. We really enjoyed the pool and the lush jungle around us with all the sights and sounds of nature. Our hosts were friendly and pleasant and were easy to contact. The location is just a short ride into Montezuma and easy to find. Really enjoyed our meal at a soda along the road called Nani Nana. One of the best meals we had during our trip. We accidentally left some clothing items behind and our hosts were very accommodating in trying to reunite us with our things. It was just my wife and I so we never needed the 2 separate bedrooms, but they looked inviting. Kitchen had most everything we need for cooking, spices, coffee, etc. A great place to unwind and take in everything we wanted to do in the area. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The house was clean and a perfect space for us and our friend’s of 25 years! Every morning we woke up and watched the jungle come alive! The monkeys would come get bananas right off the plants by the pool. The birds were also everywhere! We would take a morning and evening dip in the pool! Montezuma and the area surrounding was so fun and interesting to explore! It was rainy a few days but that didn’t stop us from taking in all that is Costa Rica! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

An Amazing house nicely situated !

We really loved the house, it provided us with everything we needed. The property managers were very thorough in their information and description on how to manage the house details. We felt confident in running the lights , air , fans and kitchen appliances . The yard was amazing . We loved the pool and the deck chairs and spent many hours just feeling spoiled . The drive to Montezuma was easy and close enough for us to make the trip. We also had recommendations of activities to take park in and the opportunity for the managers to help us with booking.

Pleasant stay, some local noise

This is a comfortable, good condition, attractive and well managed pool house in a convenient location between Cobano (groceries) and Montezuma (beach/restaurants). The neighborhood is a little dense so you will hear lots of human noise - voices, engines, occasional dog barking, construction, a mule braying and geese. But the house is surrounded by jungle and completely private otherwise. This is an excellent choice for a "jungle pool house" in the area, especially for the very reasonable cost. We researched dozens of other rentals up and down Nicoya for up to $500/night but felt this had the best combination of amenities, accessibility and attractiveness.

Pool and nature

We extremely enjoyed our stay at this house. It is a big, very nice villa with very friendly hosts. It is a bit remote (what we like), placed in the center of the green and lust nature. Okay, the howler might wake you up at 5:30am but that is part of it. The house is very comfortable, in good shape and you will find all the items you need. Barb and Kile are very lovely people who look after you if you have any need. If you feel like going out into the civilisation, Montezuma, a touristic hotspot with many interesting and good restaurrants, is not far away. And if you want less civilisation and more nature, Reserva Natural Absoluto Cabo Blanca is not far either...Pura Vida!

happy stay

Our stay go off to a bumpy start through nobody's fault when the water pump died. However, Barb, the manager, assured us that the plumber would arrive by 5:00 pm (note: this was Christmas eve). Sure enough, he showed up and was on site until about 6:30 pm and installed a new pump. Small hiccup that was handled quickly. Beautiful house in an ideal location with very cooperative and responsive manager and owner. We look forward to returning.

Our favorite place!

We stayed at four other homes during our stay here and all of them were nice, but this was our favorite. It is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden that brings in monkeys, coatimundi, and tons of birds. The pool area is private, which allowed our kids to run around in their birthday suits a lot of the time. Barbara and Kyle were very helpful in getting us situated and offered some fun activities for us to do. The kitchen is well-appointed. We were not lacking anything, and could cook the majority of our meals there. Beds are comfortable, and the place was very clean. It is about a four minute drive into Montezuma, and maybe seven minutes to the larger town of Cobano if you are in need of groceries. You won't regret staying here!

A home away from home!

Brisa del Pacifico was a wonderful place from which to rest, recharge and only 5 minutes to the beach! Montezuma itself is a very wee but incredibly vibrant community along with its neighbouring town Cabuya. We were easily able to find everything we needed to make lovely seafood meals and enjoy them poolside. Barb and Kyle (property managers) plus Jaime our neighbour took great care of us. Barb was wonderful at helping us get our bearings and seek out places to see. Kyle was great for those “how does this work questions)!! I did yoga every day at a nearby resort and loved getting in to the warm ocean at low tide… The house was perfect and exactly as advertised. Lots of privacy for our guest friends, beautiful pool and fans outside and a/c inside as needed. All in all it was a great visit with Matt the owners easy to communicate with. We are already planning our return visit!

Wonderful getaway

We were so excited to come here. After seeing all the nice pictures and reading the great reviews, we were so ready for our vacation. In advance we exchanged several emails with Siobhan and Hugues and received very detailed and helpful information regarding the house and surroundings. So we thought we are well prepared what to expect but when we arrived even our 2 teenaged kids gaped with their mouths open. What a beautiful place! Gina, the property manager was greeting us with a very warm welcome and showed us around answering every question and giving tips where to eat locally. We loved the layout of the house; it feels like home being away from home. Everything you might need is provided; it is clean, cozy, and comfortable. We had breakfast on the patio every morning during our 8 day stay; often we stayed half of the day and enjoyed the great pool watching wildlife from the early morning to dusk. There are so many different species of birds to find. We saw up to 6 toucans in the papaya tree; those are very funny creatures. We had at least 2 coatis visiting the property regularly; they just walked by, mainly ignoring us. We saw and more often heard howler monkeys in the trees. We visited different places: the Saturday market, little stores and restaurants in Montezuma; Cabuya- which has some nice little restaurants and great café and you can by fresh local fish; Playa Santa Teresa, Playa Hermosa, Cobano. We all enjoyed zip lining and jumping the waterfall. We went on a day snorkeling trip and also visited Reserva Natural Cabo Blanco. There are so many things to see and to do but we always came back fairly soon to enjoy the pool and relaxing patio again. We are very thankful getting such an opportunity for a wonderful family vacation. Everyone had an amazing time and we would love to comeback sooner than later! Thank you! Kristen

What a wonderful review Kristen, thank you! We are thrilled that your family had such a great time here; it truly is an unspoiled and marvelous region of Costa Rica. I’m glad you were able to see so much wildlife. The other day while we were eating lunch on the patio we saw two white faced monkeys not 10 feet from us, one of them scampering up the papaya tree to steal a fruit, the other standing guard. Their little escapade was over in a minute, and although we didn’t have time to grab our cameras the memory is certainly etched in our minds! We are up with the sun every morning and find it’s the best time to see many species of hummingbirds, magpie jays, doves, parrots and toucans, to name just a few. Butterflies abound, and of course we have many coatis (pizote in Spanish) who come for a daily visit to see if there’s anything interesting going on. Howler monkeys can be heard daily, and seem partial to making appearances in the trees near the end of the house where our laundry facilities are located. All in all, it’s very difficult to spend a few days here without seeing an abundance of wildlife. Gini is wonderful, isn’t she? After living here for 27 years she knows everyone and everything in the region, and always ensures our guests have the best that the region has to offer. We have her on speed dial! And thank you for the detailed description of the many wonderful activities that can be found in the region. We really hope to see you all back here again very soon! Howling good time.

Great pool to come back to after a day out exploring. Location is convenient for trips to Montezuma and Santa Teresa. Home was comfortable and clean. Very nice grill available to use for those grill at home days. It would be wise to get a 4WD vehicle if you plan on doing a lot of exploring . Some of the roads are very steep and rugged. No need to set an alarm, the howler monkeys are sure to wake you up in the morning. Barbara was very helpful with any suggestions and giving help when needed.

Great location

Awesome relaxing property with a convenient location. 6 minute ATV ride to the beaches, restaurants and bars in Montezuma. Also 6 minutes to the bustling little town of Cobano where you can load up on food and beverages for meals at the house. They have added a huge outdoor covered kitchen and seating area on the roof of a portion of the home. Great place to chill in the evenings while preparing meals. New propane grill with side burner, sinks and a small fridge. Beautiful custom bar and dining table as well. Wasn't expecting this but much appreciated. Loved the oversized saltwater pool too! And yes.....you will see monkeys.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We had a great time at Brisa del Pacifico. Everyone was accommodating of our very last minute booking (due to another cancellation). The house was in great shape and well appointed for our trip. It is a little tricky with young children not having all the bedrooms with an interior entrance, but we made it work. Highly recommend.

Mary Ellen, Thank you for taking the time to let us know how much you enjoyed our home, and we’re so pleased to hear that you’d love to come back. We’re also very happy to know that the one issue you had, had nothing to do with our house and the enjoyment of your lodging or surroundings but rather the short laneway leading to our house . Unfortunately the rainy season was a particularly bad one, and we’re entirely dependent on the municipality as to when they grade it. They told us that would fix it in Dec. but things don’t always move at the speed we’d like in Costa Rica, which on the other hand contributes to its undeniable charm. We’re sure that next time you visit it will be very good! Siobhan and Hugues

Close to Montezuma and beautiful house

We truly enjoyed our stay. We traveled with 4 children , age 4 to 12. We just fit. The kitchen is well stocked and it was fun to cook in it. The pool area is very relaxing, the property beautiful. It is a short drive down the hill to Montezuma ( don't miss out on a surf lesson by Manny of Young Vision Surf School). Barb and Kyle took great care of us and Jaime was there quickly when he had an issue with some ants. We hope to be back one day!

Magical Montezuma!

Our family of four enjoyed this home away from home immensely! We had plenty of room to spread out, kitchen was well equipped and beds were comfortable. The pool was absolutely beautiful and crystal clear. Enjoyed having coffee in the morning and watching the critters come and go. In addition, we were warmly welcomed by the house managers, Barb and Kyle. They were both so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for us, we were only there for 3 nights and we did not have time to take any excursions...but there's always next time! Highly recommend this beautiful home!
