Spacious well equipped good location far enough away so you get some peace and quiet but close enough to walk to loads of great places. The gardens are lovely and give the feeling that you are more remote than you actually are! Thank you Alex, Claudio and Hilda for making this special holiday for us. We would highly recommend this place and plan to return.

Beautiful VIlla

The villa is near Carvoeiro close to beautiful cliffs and views. Many restaurants and beaches. Lots of great walks. The villa has many personal touches. Like staying in someones home. The owner was great. Very responsive. I highly recommend Villa Hibiscus

Great Villa, well located, lovely pool

Lovely villa, very spacious, well located, kitchen is well equipped but outdated units, which didn't worry us as we expected the Villa to be a traditional one, which it was. Very quaint generally, the only down side was the very small dishwasher, which would be detrimental if you had big family meals in the Villa. We ate out mostly and it was fine for breakfast bits. Overall we had a great relaxing time here.

Great!

Loved staying at Villa Hibiscus, this is the fifth villa we've stayed at in Carvoiero and is our favourite due to the more traditional style and layout coupled with the fantastic garden. The location is very quiet and within easy walking distance of beaches and the town. Aleix, Claudio and Ilda couldn't have been more helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the house. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Schönes Haus in guter Lage

Das Haus ist ein nettes, etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Objekt mit einem wunderschönen Garten, schönem Swimmingpool und ausreichend Platz um sich wohl zu fühlen. Die Ausstattung war gut und auch an Kinder wurde gedacht. Schön ist auch, dass man eine Putzfee in Anspruch nehmen kann. Nur einige Kleinigkeiten, wie nicht richtig schließbare Läden und Fliegengitter, sehr lädierte Badewannen und abgeblätterte Tapeten, viel negativ auf. Ansonsten ist es sehr zu empfehlen und auch die Lage ist gut, da man nur ca 10Minuten bis zu den ersten Restaurants im Dorf braucht.

Superb villa in great location

Beautiful villa in.lovely grounds within walking distance of Carvieiro. Alex the owner answered all my questions promptly and Claudio met us at the property and checked us in very efficiently. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Family holiday

We tenter the property three years ago for my wife’s 65 th birthday Due to covid we had to cancel and the following year again due to my daughter’s pregnancy So we arrived at last with a 12 month granddaughter The property is in a lovely area of Carvoiero And the gardens surrounding the villa have some ponds and two hammocks when the sun gets too much The villa is rustic and not very suitable for an infant just starting to walk with a lot of steps leading to the pool and the terrace The villa would be ideal for adults with a lovely pool and patios We had two issues The gas stove and hob we could not get working on our first night Unfortunately the manager was 60 miles away-it was a Saturday night so this was not fixed till Monday Also the patio door in the living room would not lock so we had to close the steel shutters every night before going out They were extremely stiff and one of the hinges was broken making it very difficult to lock There was plenty of cutlery and dinner service And plenty of wardrobe and luggage space in all rooms In all a very nice holiday but suitable more for adults and older children I On

A great Villa, backed up by a helpful and friendly team

The property is delightful and perfect for our needs. Plenty of outdoor space to sunbath, eat and drink. The kitchen was fully equipped, and all bedrooms and bathrooms well maintained. Fantastic to sit on the roof terrace and have a late-night port looking out to sea. The walk into town was fine where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The team were so helpful.

Lovely villa and great location

The pool and gardens were amazing and so lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed using the BBQ and relaxing in the hammocks. Good location, quiet but not far from restaurants and the main beach.

The magic garden house

Casa Hibiscus is an exceptional property in a beautiful corner of the world. Surrounded by flowers, palms, eucalyptus, olives, cacti, the charming Portuguese home is a ten-minute walk from an ideal beach. We loved the barbecue, pool, and ocean view too!

Carvoeiro no seu melhor

Ficar alguns dias nesta propriedade transmite-nos uma agradável sensação de tranquilidade e de privacidade, mas não de isolamento, pois estamos rodeados de outras propriedades semelhantes. Permite fazer o dia a dia a pé, devido à proximidade de Carvoeiro, de Vale de Centianes, etc.

A fantastic villa and a wonderful stay

We had an amazing time at the Casa Hibiscus. Alex's communication beforehand was amazing, and meeting Claudio for check in was easy and a great way to learn about the villa. The villa itself is perfect - great for kids with perfect facilities for cooking, cleaning and relaxing. The pool was immaculate, and the lady who came in to clean was lovely and put up with us around her! Can't thank you enough for a wonderful stay.

We were very impressed with the level of mask wearing in Portugal, but be prepared for lack of clarity on what the airlines accept for COVID tests - we went to the airport a day prior to departure and that worked well. Out stay in Carvoeiro was great. Wonderful people, great food, beautiful beaches and we were lucky to have great weather. Overall the Villa was good and we enjoyed our stay. Some things to know: hot water is limited because it is thermal, so take your showers later in the day; be prepared to buy all the basics (sugar, condiments, coffee, etc..); there is one not two king size beds; and walking distance to town is 30-40 min, not 15.

Fijne vakantiewoning

Grote vakantiewoning, alles wat nodig is voor een prettig verblijf is aanwezig. Perfect schoon. Het zwembad is TOP. Carvoeiero is een leuke, kleinschalige plaats met goede restaurantjes. De kust is prachtig, mooie wandelingen gemaakt. Kortom: heerlijke vakantie! Wij komen zeker terug.

Ferias de Agosto

A propriedade corresponde ao anunciado. Não está em bom estado de conservação O exaustor não funciona e o fogão apenas tinha um bico funcionante. As roupas da cama e atoalhados apresentavam-se demasiados "gastos". Os espaços interior e exterior são amplos e agradáveis. Piscina excelente.

Casa cómoda, grande y bonita

La casa es exactamente igual que en las fotos, muy amplia y a solo 2 minutos de la playa y a 10 minutos del centro de Carvoeiro. La comunicación con Aleix ha sido estupenda desde el principio y hasta al final. Totalmente recomendable!

Sehr schöne Immobilie , perfekte Lage

Sehr geräumige Villa mit wunderschönen Pool. Restaurants in 5 Minuten zu erreichen , Ortsmitte und Strand 10-15 Minuten ( zu Fuß). Kontakt sehr sehr nett und freundlich . Schade , dass die Dachterrasse nicht ausgebaut ist , denn von dort hat man einen schönen Meerblick . Das fehlt für 5 Sterne plus . Waren sehr sehr zufrieden . Danke

Toller Urlaub, tolle Lage

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in diesem charmanten Haus. Die Lage ist toll, der Garten bezaubernd. Sauberkeit, Kommunikation etc. alles wunderbar. Das Haus braucht allerdings in nächster Zeit mal eine Renovierung. Küche, Fenster, Decken. Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Sind etwas moderner Look wäre toll. Auch die Dachterrasse könnte schöner gestaltet werden, der Ausblick ist so wunderbar. Aber wie gesagt, das hat unseren tollen Urlaub nicht beeinträchtigt! Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit!

Villa mit schönem Garten und Pool in Gehdistanz von schönen Stränden und Restaurants. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, aber es ist so Einiges am und im Haus in die Jahre gekommen was ersetzt oder aussortiert werden müsste. Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis in der Hochsaison grenzwertig. Online Bilder entsprechen dem aktuellen Zustand. Leider hatten wir Einiges an Lärmbelästigungen zu erdulden, wegen einer in der Nähe gelegenen Baustelle und Unterhaltsarbeiten auf dem Nachbargrundstück.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Haus, aber gut gelegen

Das Haus bietet viel Platz und war daher für uns vier Erwachsene ideal, auch wenn das dritte Schlafzimmer leider arg übertrieben auf Kinder abgestimmt ist. Vom Haus aus kann man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss einen sehr schönen Strand und die Ortsmitte erreichen. Der Swimmingpool ist prima und gross genug, um ein paar Züge zu schwimmen. Geschirr, Töpfe, Pfannen etc gibt es reichlich. Durch die nette Haushaltshilfe wurden die Handtücher gewechselt und es gab auch Badetücher für die Liegen und sogar Bademäntel. Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Glaskanne der Kaffeemaschine hatte einen Sprung und die Thermoskanne war nicht zu gebrauchen. Das Bein einer der Terrassenstühle wurde mit einer Schelle notdürftig geflickt und sollte eher nicht mehr genutzt werden. Bei den Auflagen der Sonnenliegen quillt der Schaumstoff aus den Nähten, der Sonnenschirm altersschwach und nur eingeschränkt zu benutzen. Die Fliesen an den Wänden fast alle überstrichen, wobei die Farbe blättert. Auf dem Nachbargrundstück hält man wohl drei gerade nachts und morgens gern kläffenden Hunde. Sonst ist die Umgebung aber ruhig und von der nahen Hauptverkehrsstrasse hört man wenig.

Peaceful villa

Family holiday at the beginning of September with 6 adults and a 7 month old baby. Villa is located on a quiet road and is well placed for restaurants and the beach as well as the centre of Carvoeiro. Car needed to visit large supermarkets, where prices are lower and more than the basics are stocked. The villa was very clean and the pool a good size. The exterior of the property is well looked after, with 3 different areas to sit in. Beautiful gardens, and the gardener visited 3 times in our week. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Lots of toys and a spongy playmat for small children. Lovely cot and highchair too. There were a couple of issues with the walk in shower and the patio doors but the property manager dealt with them immediately. Improvements could be made internally - we struggled with the gas oven so only used the hob and the BBQ, the mattresses are too soft and sink in the middle. More mugs would be useful, but the dishwasher is a small one so we were having to use after every meal. The water is heated by solar power, so there didn't appear to be hot water when we got up in the mornings. But there was plenty of hot water when showering before dinner. The furnishings/decor, dark wood mainly, added to the character and were certainly comfortable enough in the evenings. We didn't find the villa gloomy as some reviews suggested. Would definitely recommend to others, and would return in the future if the beds are replaced.

Hibiscus Villa is very quiet and intimate, close to a beautiful uncrowded beach.
The large garden is lush with corners and surprises, fish ponds, lotus flowers, frogs and turtles, small ecosystems with the sound of water sources gives the garden a paradisiacal setting. Large trees, olive trees, palm trees, orange, almond and green make a shady place that is appreciated beacause the high summer temperatures. Ten minutes walk, a pleasant walk along the coast with wonderful views of the sea to reach the center of Carvoeiro, a charming fishing village with good restaurants, terraces, bars, shops and all, postal services, pharmacy, etc. , etc. The house was built in the native style of Algarve, all white with a roof terrace on the house where you can enjoy the best views of the sea, the garden and the whole environment.
