Situated on the corner of Estrada Monumental with Rua da Casa Branca, along with the most important hotels in Funchal, this top floor one bedroom apartment was all renovated, having Been completed in the month of September 2015. It is very well located, having supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, bars, swimming-pool complexes, peeble beaches and many other facilities at walking distance ..
The apartment is equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay, and has a balcony where sunset and meals can be enjoyed.
It can accommodate 2 adults.
The building has a swimming-pool, two lifts, and private parking.
Bus stops to the center located just in front of the building.
Transfers to and from the airport can be provided.

Had a wonderful stay at this spacious 1 bedroomed apartment on the top floor with a fabulous balcony which has amazing views. Very well equiped and lovely friendly owner.

This is an excellent apartment

We rented this apartment for 1 month. It was an awesome experience. Location: Located on Estrada Monumental ( the main road through the Lido area ) Some road noise but apartment on top floor so noise minimal. Buses stop right in front. Airport bus too. Surrounded by restaurants and services. 1/2 hr easy walk to marina or to major shopping centre. Very close to grocery store. Amenities: View from balcony is exceptional. And it's huge. This apartment not set up for more than 2 people. Everything you'll need for daily home life is there. Only small negative is the beds are small and noisy. The whole building is clean and safe and secure. Elevator small but smooth and efficient. 4.9 out of 5 but only because of the beds. We would definitely stay here again

Trois excellentes semaines dans ce logement

Nous avons passé trois belles semaines, en octobre 2024, dans l'appartement de Martim. C'est un logement confortable et agréable, très bien équipé pour deux personnes mais surtout qui possède des atouts indéniables : 1. une excellente situation dans le quartier animé du Lido où tous les services du tourisme sont présents (proche aéroport, bus, restaurants, bars, agences, supermarché, commerces, ...), 2. un parking privé, 3. une terrasse avec transats et une vue sur la mer exceptionnelle, permettant de manger dès le matin avec le lever du soleil, et le soir avec le coucher du soleil... un vrai spectacle !!! 4. et une piscine, vue à 360°, située juste à l'étage au-dessus ... très, très appréciable. Cependant, quelques inconvénients : les bruits de circulation, les odeurs des restaurants et l'animation des hôtels le soir ... mais on ne peut pas tout avoir : un quartier vivant et le calme avec.... cependant, ces inconvénients sont largement compensés par tous les avantages. Un appartement à recommander !

Wir haben uns in dem Appartement sehr wohl gefühlt. Klar, war es nicht ganz ruhig, aber die zentrale Lage und der grandiose Blick auf's Meer von allen Zimmern war super. Ein Pool auf dem Dach zum Erfrischen nach der Wanderung und Sonnenliegen auf der eigenen Terasse zum Entspannen haben mehr als entschädigt :-) Wir würden wieder kommen...

Schöne Wohnung

Gastgeber war richtig freundlich. Lage ist top kann Zeitweise an Wochenende bisschen lauter werden. Einzige was uns gestört hat waren das die Matratzen etwas umbequem waren. Ansonten volle Empfehlung.

Ferienwohnung mit tollem Ausblick

Die Kommunikation mit dem sehr freundlichen Gastgeber verlief reibungslos. Ich hatte Flugdaten und Abfahrtszeit des Airport Shuttlebus mit Martim geteilt und wurde schon am Eingang zum Haus erwartet. Die Dachwohnung war erwartungsgemäß etwas warm, verfügt aber über genug Balkontüren und Fenster, um effektiv zu lüften. Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral, so dass man alle Annehmlichkeiten - Bushaltestellen & Taxistand, Bank, Restaurants & Bars, Minimarkt und Supermarkt (Pingo Doce) - in direkter Nähe hat. Nachteile an der zentralen Lage sind der Verkehr, die Restaurantgerüche und das live Unterhaltungsprogramm der umliegenden Hotels & Restaurants. Zu Fuß ist man außerdem in einer guten halben Stunde in der Stadt bzw. am Hafen, mit dem Bus oder Taxi sind es 20 bzw. 10 min. Die Wohnung hat Charme, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, aber das absolute Highlight ist die Dachterrasse! Insgesamt bzw. innen war es sauber, nur die Fenster hätten eine Reinigung brauchen können. Den kleinen Pool auf der halben Etage drüber, den KFZ Stellplatz sowie die Waschmaschine habe ich nicht gebraucht, sind aber auch ein Plus. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist spitze, ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und würde das Apartment wieder buchen.

Excellent apartment in excellent location, excellent price!

A lovely property with spectacular views. Furniture a little old fashioned, and TV is small, but didn't detract from our stay. Comfy beds. Lots of extras provided, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet rolls, welcome gifts, towels were excellent quality. Bathroom a little dark and needs a magnifying mirror. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and recommended.

Nice apartment with good location

Thank you very much Martim, everything worked fine, even if our rental period was not in the best position, because of the covid-19 closed almost everything in Madeira when we were there. Specially we want to thank you for communication, flexibility of arrival and departure and all help we needed during our holiday. The apartment was clean and in a very good position concerning services. The TV could be a little bit bigger one :) But the balcony - has a very very nice view. Because of the covid-19 changed our holiday's plans, we definitely want to come back to Madeira and hopefully we can then use Martim's apartment again. Best regards, Raija and Timo

Our favorite island.

The apartment was nice. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of space and a large balcony. The views were amazing. The apartment is well located in Lido with shop and restaurant in the house. Otherwise, there are many restaurants and shops nearby. Our host was very nice and helpful. Hope the apartment is available next time we go to Madeira.

Mooi en gerieflijk appartement met prachtig zicht op de oceaan.

Zeer positieve ervaring: vriendelijk onthaal, correcte afhandeling. In het appartement was alles aanwezig om er comfortabel te verblijven. Zeer ruim terras met zicht op de oceaan, de (drukke) Avenida en de omliggende hotels.

Lovely views from the balcony.

The apartment has all the essentials and is in a good location. The decor is a little dated but is clean and tidy. A double bed would have been appreciated. But this is all made for up by the balcony views which are just wonderful. The host was accommodating and answered any queries promply. We would defiantly stay again.

Lovely apartment in perfect location

Ideally located for convenience of restaurants, pubs, places of interest and lovely evening walks along seafront. The apartment was just what we needed for a comfortable stay with all the facilities. Balcony offered a great view of the sea and comings and goings ideal fir people watching and very relaxing, The pool on the top floor was an added bonus for the occasional dip and the convenience of the supermarkets on ground floor were an added bonus for snacks and drinks inside, The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable, we really couldn't have asked for any more. We were met by chap who showed us the apartment and a quick review however then left to our own devices other than a change over of bed linen and towels etc which was arranged on a convenient day. Martim was always on hand via e mail to respond to a couple of queries and was very helpful. If you are wanting a clean. tidy apartment with easy access to all services then this is ideal and a great price. We used public transport just under 2 euros for any trip and also arranged trips through the many travel organisers who are generally helpful and not too pushy. Overall we would fully recommend Martims apartment for cleanliness, facilities and location. We much appreciated Martims help and use of his apartment.

Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par Martim qui a pris le temps de tout nous expliquer sur l'appartement et le quartier. Il a laissé des spécialités de Madère à notre intention, très gentil de sa part. L' appartement est vraiment confortable et très bien équipé, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. La vue sur l'océan du large balcon (7ème étage) est époustouflante et la piscine sur le toit est un plus, avec une vue à 360° sublime ! Nous recommandons vivement et si nous revenons à Funchal, sans hésiter nous reviendrons dans cet appartement. Merci Martim !

Fantastic holiday in a brilliant apartment!

We have just returned from our first time in Madeira staying in Martim's apartment. The apartment is in the best location in Funchal in our opinion - right in the middle of the lido area and within a few metres of loads of good restaurants and bars and plenty of shops. No need to go far on a night. The view from the huge apartment balcony is fantastic and you get the sun all day. Beautiful promenade walks close by and we enjoyed having the rooftop pool to ourselves. Thank you very much Martim - when we return to Madeira we would definitely choose your apartment again,Kind regards Helen and Terry

Clean, comfortable, helpful owner

In the center of the hotel zone, lots of bars and great restaurants within a 10 minute walk, some great ones within 2 minutes. The bus (2 euros) to downtown (less than 10 minutes) is across the street. Convenience store on ground floor and large grocery store 5 minutes away. Great views from a nice balcony

Comfortable, everything you need for a holiday

We were really satisfied with everything. When arriving Martim had arranged such as water, tea, madeira wine, cake and biscuits for the house compliments. We also got Christmas decoration during the Christmas time. The WiFi was really good, the kitchen had everything you need, lots of useful items such as washing powder, washing up liquid etc. The apartment was very clean, thanks to the pleasant ladies . There were fresh towels and bed linen which were changed once a week. The location was great because everything was nearby (restaurants,supermarkets, buses to the center). The views from the balcony are amazing. We had a really good time on Madeira and would recommend this apartment for your vacation. Many thanks Martim

Fantastic apartment

We are sad to be leaving this wonderful apartment today following our weeks stay. It was very easily accessed from the airport by the aerobus and Martim was waiting to show us around when we arrived. Martim has provided everything you need for a comfortable stay and was very thoughtful to provide many items to save a late night trip to the supermarket on arrival such as water, tea, cake and biscuits. There is lots of useful items such as washing powder, washing up liquid etc to help reduce necessary purchases. The apartment is very clean and spacious and the WiFi works very well with good speed. The views from the balcony are breath taking and the very large balcony always provides a sunny outlook. There is a rooftop pool which is great for cooling off when the weather is hot. The apartment is very well located with many great restaurants a stone's through away. The sea is accessible down the hill and it is an easy walk into Funchal centre. This apartment is great value and we will definitely be aiming to visit again. Thank you Martim for a lovely stay. Kate and Adi.

Absolutely fabulous

This apartment is the most wonderful place we have every stayed in on a "do it yourself " holiday and we have stayed in lots. The whole of this top floor apartment was spotlessly clean with good quality furniture, bedding and towels and the kitchen had everything you would want (although I couldnt find a can opener!!) for a perfect stay. If the sun shines the balcony is absolutely huge, by far the biggest we have ever had, and the sun shines on it from morning until night so a truly wonderful place to relax on as there as two really nice sunloungers just made for sunbathing as well as a table and two comfortable chairs. there are lots of restaurants, cafes and bars locally and a very large supermarket only a 5 minute walk away down the hill. The bus stops right outside the door and whisks you into the centre of Funchal in no time at all but if you want to walk it takes no longer than half an hour. There are also two different hop on hop off bus companies which stop across the road and these buses go all over on different tours and they are great value. The cost of the apartment is absolutely fantastic value and I cant praise Martim highly enough for the prompt way in which he answered any emails in regard to the booking of this property. We will certainly be recommending this apartment to any of our retired friends who want to spend some time in Madeira Lido area in this wonderful apartment. Cant wait to return.

Highly recommend!!

Martim had welcomed us to the apartment personally and even left various toiletries and cakes for us to eat! As our flight was delayed a few hours this was extremely generous! Martim had also left a folder explaining how to use each and every piece of technology in the apartment, including bus routes and tv channels! The apartment itself is surprisingly light and welcoming, the couches and beds are comfortable, as well as loads of closet and storage space around the apartment; this overall gives a very homely feel. The veranda is, quite frankly, very spacious and probably the best place to tan on summer afternoons! Our only minor concern was we could not figure out how to use the washing machine, but Martim had sent a very kind gentleman to explain everything and help us with anything else we needed. This, in my opinion was extremely helpful and a true act of kindness. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to stay for any month of the year as it seems equipped for all! Hopefully, we shall be staying there soon too. - Jorge and Lara.

Como estar en casa

Las fotografías no cuentan realmente lo que este apartamento supone. Ha sido una maravilla poder sentirnos como en casa durante nuestra estancia de 10 días. El apartamento tiene una ubicación perfecta tanto para ir al centro de Funchal en autobús, como para ir al mar dando un paseo, como para salir a cenar por la cena. El apartamentos es un lujo en medio de la zona de Lido. Todas las estancias son muy amplias y la terraza es el broche de oro. Las vistas son maravillosas y el hecho de tener piscina y garaje es un plus para cualquier turista. Por las noches se duerme de maravilla porque siempre corre aire. Las camas son muy cómodas y los propietarios encantadores. Nos dejaron una serie de detalles de bienvenida, nos esperaron hasta que llegamos y nos dieron total libertad para dejar el apartamento cuando saliera nuestro vuelo. Ha sido maravilloso poder encontrar un lugar como este. Se le recomendamos a todos los viajeros y si volvemos por Madeira repetiremos. Gracias por hacer de vuestra casa nuestra casa!
