Welcome to COLONY CLUB D8, a beautifully updated 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo in Gulf Shores. This second-floor walk-up comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, offering a central location ideal for families or small groups seeking a relaxing beach vacation.



The Colony Club complex includes a pool, hot tub, fitness room, and lighted tennis courts. Free Wi-Fi is provided, and parking passes must be purchased at the clubhouse. Wristbands for pool access must be left in the unit at checkout, with a $25 fee for any missing wristbands. Please note, there is no elevator in the complex.



Enjoy easy access to Gulf Shores’ sugar-white beaches just a short drive south, or head north to The Tanger Outlet Mall for shopping and dining.

We came down for a softball tournament and the location was PERFECT! 4 minutes from the ball field! We will definitely stay again if we ever come back down for softball!

Nonetheless, it was convenient to absolutely everything - shopping, dining, fuel, etc. Clean and well maintained. Adequately furnished.

Best way to spend my 50th birthday

If I had to make a complaint, and I don't, it was the lack of oven mitts and pasta strainer. We just simply ran out and bought those things and left them there for the next guest! My teenager insisted on building a sand castle, so we also left the sand toys in case the next guests had small children. We absolutely loved meeting the security ducks that repeatedly circled the pool enclosure, we named them Richard and Gladys. I could literally go on and on about how amazing our trip was, but I do highly recommend this unit to anybody looking to stay in Gulf Shores! In 3 years, my daughter graduates high school and I permanently leave New York and move to the foley/gulf Shores area! I cannot wait! Thank you to Sunset properties for overseeing the rental, and for my birthday cake and birthday card! That also brought customer service to an amazing level!

Great Stay-Good Location

Nice property and convenient location

The property is located in a convenient area. It is located a few miles from one of our favorite beachs near the popular Hangout. The place was clean and the pictures accurately depicted it. There is some signs of aging with the carpet, and the main bedroom door did not lock. If I had any complaints, it would be there were only one roll of TP for each bathroom and one trash bag for the week, but there was a Walmart close by, so we just went and bought those things for the week. The pool passes were missing when we arrived (with three kids this was important), so we notified the owner, who responded promptly and said the previous tenants had mistakenly taken them and someone would drop new passes off the following day. Unfortunately, no one ever showed up or contacted us, so we made do.

GULF SHORES TRIP

We only had a couple issues, Some of the owners were very nice and a couple were annoying. When we sat on the balcony we were always looked at. We were getting ready to leave and set the trash by the door so I could grab my things and a man came down complaining at my son about the trash that sat for less than 5 min. Also there needs to be a very visible note on line when booking about which entrance to use because there is a code required for the front gate. Overall the stay was good, like I said some of the owners were very nice! It is in a good location. Make sure you have toilet paper when you arrive cause we had none in the room to start us off

Very central location for the area.

We came to Gulf Shores for a World Series Baseball Tournament. This location worked out to be very centrally located for us and the areas we had to travel too. Very clean unit and very quite. The only issue we had was that google maps didn’t find the property, put us across the street, and we found out that it’s gated!!! Make sure to get or ask for your gate code. Property management is very responsive and the extras that come with your stay are pretty awesome! We had a wonderful time and plan to come back

Nice and Quiet

Excellent place to stay. One street away from the zoo. The people in the complex were very nice. The staff was very helpful when I need to extend my stay.

Beware the fine print

Our first few days were great, and everything was as advertised until it wasn't. To be fair, the property was listed with the notice that some maintenance was happening, and when we arrived, workers were changing some siding. No big deal. Three days in, we got a notice that they wanted to change the windows and needed access to the condo. We were evacuated from Hurricane Ida, so we had no where to go. When we told the property manager, we were told to just go shopping! For what? At this point we didn't even know if we'd have a house to go home to. We left to have breakfast and came back to an open condo with everything covered in plastic. The next day, we were woken up around 7 on a Sunday morning by knocking on the door for us to leave. There were men on a lift above where my son was sleeping. They had already begun to work. The windows were broken out and we felt displaced again. We ended up leaving and coming home to stay in a house with a generator, a boil water notice, and limited sewage. We felt displaced again. The property manager told us that we know it was under construction, so not their problem. We had to send pictures explaining how much our privacy was violated before they begrudgingly refunded part of our money. Overall, this made an already heartbreaking situation more stressful for us. We, as humans, need to take better care of each other.

A Boss Place For A Family On A Budget

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a lovely condo, with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. I rented for five days, and spent around $1,300, which isn't bad when you consider that, without the kitchen, you're eating in a tourist trap town for every meal. I'm talking $15 milkshakes bad. Not to mention the emotional scars you avoid from being stuck in a cramped hotel room with 4 people, 3 of which are gassy, with one closet bathroom to share, still costing $800 for the five days. There was construction noise, but that's why it's not $1,500+, so I'm grateful. I also found it weird that one drawer was blocked from opening unless you opened the oven, but that's whatever. One of the cups in the cabinet was cracked, but that's whatever, too, as there were plenty. Running the dishwasher once made water back up into the sink for some reason, though. They have stuff to fix, and they're working on it while renting at a reasonable price, so whatever to that, too. My time there was a good memory, and I hope it's still available 3 years from now when I'll be able to afford it again.

Reviewer Comments: The location is just outside of the major traffic areas but very close to food and Target for shopping needs without needing to fight the traffic. This location was central to our travel as we were there for a tournament but easily access the beach when desired. The property appears to still be undergoing some work but the actual rental was clean and well provided. Everything was done digitally from check-in to check-out. Even the entry didn't require a key but rather a code so that was very convenient. I was pleased overall with the accommodations.

Manager with quick to respond

The manager was quick to bring forks and bowls when we arrived to the unit with only one fork and no bowls. Few glasses were there. No baking pans whatsoever are in the unit. It’s listed as a fully equipped kitchen. Kitchen should be inventoried and items replaced. Unit was very clean. Beds need mattress toppers that are not plastic or at least mattress topper to go over the plastic mattress topper to make for a more comfortable sleep.
