Puako Hylton Beach Villa offers the ultimate luxury. Enjoy swimming in the heated oceanfront pool, relaxing on the beach, launching a kayak, SUP, whale watching (in season), snorkeling or diving just steps from the house. This exotic Balinese-style home offers a unique floor plan covering over 4000 square feet of living space. Three primary suites plus a detached Ohana apartment accommodates up to 10 people comfortably in this luxurious, contemporary home.
All suites offer private entryways and incredible ocean views. The property is rented as a complete home, and the suites are not available individually.
The oceanfront Hula Suite has a king bed with private bathroom including a soaking tub. This suite is suitable for two guests. There is a private lanai and entry.

The oceanfront Mango Suite with one King bed accommodating two guests, private bathroom including a soaking tub and over-sized shower. This suite has a private lanai and private entry.

The Plumeria Suite is a split level suite with one king bed on the lower level and one queen punee on the upper level. This suite accommodates up to 4 guests and has a kitchenette. There is one full bathroom with a shower and private balcony/lanai with ocean views.

The oceanview Ohana Suite is detached from the main house. This suite offers a king bed, full kitchen, private bathroom with shower, as well as a private lanai. Relax and rejuvenate each evening with a glass of wine or enjoy an evening of star-gazing along the beach front.

Beach gear as well as an outdoor shower are just a few of the many amenities.

WEDDINGS: Celebrate your once-in-a lifetime event with a magical celebration at the Puako Hylton. We work with local vendors to provide everything needed for your big day. Limit to 50 guests and available to guests who reserve the home for accommodations.

DEDICATED OFFICE: Luxurious office space with printer and supplies, A/C and beautiful ocean view for those who need to work remotely.

World class resorts with dining, shopping and golf including the Mauna Kea Beach Resort, the Mauna Lani Resort and the Waikoloa Beach Resort are just minutes away. Explore Kailua-Kona, just 30 minutes to the south. Or enjoy the cool, upcountry of Waimea Town, a mere 20 minute drive.

A 10 night minimum stay is required during the Festive Holiday season. One mid-stay housekeeping service will be provided on a complimentary basis with each reservation. This property is non-smoking and no pets allowed.

Perfection.

We had the best experience here. Between the owner and the manager the communication was excellent and we were left wanting for nothing. The house was so great with Grandma having her own room with her own entrance and exit. The pool and hot tub were amazing. We loved watching the sunsets over the pool deck. Not much more to say than treat yourself! You won’t regret staying at this house. A week of heaven.

More beautiful than the pictures!

This house was so beautiful and right on the ocean with a white sandy beach. The bedrooms were fabulous. We each had our own private suites and the great room area was fun for everyone. This house is not only beautifully designed in an island style but it came equipped with absolutely everything we needed. The gourmet kitchen was the best! It had beautiful tropical wood floors and bamboo ceilings. My family loved the sunset views right from our back yard. The management was great and so helpful, even set up massages for all of us right there in our lanai's. We are definitely coming back!

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our entire family, 8 adults, 2 kids and a baby. The views were spectacular, perfect sunset every night. Kids (and adults) loved walking on the rocks in the ocean, lots of fish and sea turtles! The home was spacious, clean and very well equipped, especially the kitchen, every small appliance you need.Loved that there were four separate sleeping quarters, one for each of our individual families. Two washers and two dryers a plus. Great pool and outside entertaining areas. We had a luau by the pool by Chef Catherine of Outrageous Gourmet, the best!Never had to contact the realtor, no problems at all. But they were great to work with, too. Didn’t meet the owner, but heard from the gardener and chef that she is wonderful.Best vacation ever!

Book it, you’re not going to find better

I don’t know where to start. So here it goes. This is my 4th time to the Big Island and the location of Puako Hylton House cannot be near. The home is spectacular, the location is amazing, the owner’s attention to detail and consideration for the guests is flawless. We had 4 adult children with us and two brought their partners. The layouts of the suites with their own full kitchens, baths, living areas and privacy it could not have been more perfect. The views and porches from the primary and secondary master suites were an absolute treat and perfect to watch the sunset for some occasional quiet time. There was an abundance of room in each of the master suites as well as the separate suites. Everything is labeled, light switches, overhead fans, and drawers so there is no guesswork and it’s as simple as can be. Wait until you see the showers, I don’t want to spoil that wonderful surprise. The fun whimsical Hawaiian decor is a treat. It perfectly captures the Hawaiian feeling you want while sitting in the living room overlooking your own slice of paradise. The hardwood floors and beam work in the pitched ceilings are exquisite. Everything is perfectly maintained and spotless. The furniture is quality and it shows in comfort, construction and design. The lighting is adjustable throughout the interior of the house making picture taking look professional! The glass doors ( they make up the walls) open up entirely and you can adjust the exterior lighting to match the indoor creating a seamless transition from the patio (the patio furniture is gorgeous) to the interior of the house which is perfect for parties and gatherings. We had a local caterer (Sweet Marie’s Hawaii Inc cater for us for the week and she made the most delicious birthday cake I’ve had in my life) which cut down on cooking time so we could really appreciate enjoy every minute in the house with family. The pool/patio and jacuzzi area with the view leading out to the sandy beach is even better in person than in the pictures online. Everything is clean, perfectly maintained (the barbecue too!) including the abundance of pool and beach equipment. The sunsets are breathtaking. Ive spent nearly half my life at different ocean locations and this sunset location has surpassed all. It was gift from heaven every night. I cannot recommend this home enough. The owner’s are so helpful, kind, courteous and responsive. Book it, you’ll be thankful u did.

Wonderful house

Absolutely gorgeous home in an ideal location. Had a family reunion of 3 generations, 6 adults 4 children ages 2-10. The owner and property manager were the best at ensuring our stay was perfect. The house was amazing, in impeccable condition and stocked with anything you could possibly need. The best VRBO I’ve rented . Wonderful memories. Thank you!!

Best house on the island!

This is a PERFECT house for larger groups. We had 4 married couples in our group, and with the way the house is set up, each couple got their own little wing of the house. It couldn't have been any better. The large kitchen and living room area are great, and the pool and hot tub with the views are next level. The snorkeling was great too- we saw TONS of fish and even a turtle right behind the house. Close to lots of beaches like Hapuna Beach, and easy access to the rest of the island. 5 STARS- I couldn't recommend it more!!!

The best decision you could ever make!

The Puako Hylton was the absolute best option for a family vacation! The property was luxurious, the kids never left the pool, there are relaxing suites open to the ocean and ample relax areas around the home! You want to eat dinner on the deck while watching beautiful sunsets every night! The staff was very helpful checking us in and making sure we had everything we needed! This home comes equipped for any beach trips in the event you ever want to leave the house :)

The very nearby snorkeling is great and the house offers every amenity you could possibly wish for: beachfront pool, hot tub, and views in addition to a fully supplied kitchen, towels, snorkels, etc. The combination of location and an exquisite, totally outfitted house, made for the best trip any of us can remember. We already have plans to return!

The secluded beach was fantastic as well. We enjoyed snorkeling right from the house. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly have imagined. You name it; it was there. And lastly, kudos to the owner, Nann, and her entire support staff (Jeremy, Chris, and Christian) for making the entire process from reservation to check-in to check-out a professional and wonderful experience for us. We stayed at the Puako Hylton over Thanksgiving week. Everyone loved the house and all it's many amenities. Clean and fresh throughout. Our group (nine of us from 15 to 68 years old) like many activities, this place is a short distance from many. Great beach and beautiful Sun Sets. Short hope to places to eat from resorts to pizza. Nann set us up as soon as we arrived, she has a great property with a great beachfront location.

FANTASTIC BEACHFRONT HOLIDAY with indoor/outdoor style of living

This property is more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The house was immaculately cleaned and maintained. The owner provided all manuals for operating appliances, TV's etc. Conveniently located on the South Kohala Coast in a small community(Puako) nestled between larger hotel properties. I could have stayed at the house for the entire vacation. Puako offers great snorkeling, diving, and kayaking right in front of the house. This is a luxury property with all the amenities anyone would want or need. Nearby are many good resort restaurants and we found several local style dining options less than 30 min. away in the towns of Kawaihae, Hawi, Kapa'au and Waimea. There's also watersports within 15 min. My days at the "Puako Hylton" will long be remembered. I would recommend this property to anyone who appreciates quality beachfront living.

Paradise found!

"Amazing" doesn't even begin to describe our stay at the Puako Hylton. We loved walking on the beach in the morning with a mug of coffee while the kids looked for sea shells, seeing turtles sunning themselves on the lava, watching one amazing sunset after another, and being able to watch whales playing in the water right from the back deck! The owner (Nann) was extremely helpful and gracious, giving wonderful suggestions about where to eat, shop, where to go for outings, and the best times to go to avoid traffic and crowds. Advice from a local makes all the difference! The house itself is absolutely gorgeous - tastefully decorated, comfortable beds with high-quality mattresses and sheets, beautiful marble, granite, and natural woods are everywhere. It's both luxurious and comfortable at the same time. We went horseback riding on day 5 of our stay and the guide asked what we had done so far on our visit. I told her, "snorkeling, kayaking, hot tubbing, reading & relaxing on the beach, snoozing in a hammock near the ocean - all without leaving the resort!" Thank you for everything, Nann - we can't wait to come back!

Magic that makes us forget work

My favorite thing is from break of dawn to after sunset I wanted to capture every second. The perfect amenities. Casual elegance and stunning attention to detail made the Island bloom and seem even more wonderful. Thank you for everything. As in the past we will be back again next year.

Stunning beachfront villa everything we expected and MORE!!!

Our one-week stay at the lovely Puako Hylton was absolutely magnificent! The beautiful Bali style home and property exceeded our expectations in every way, and the property owner could not have been more gracious and helpful during our interactions. Each day we were treated to humpback whale performances in Puako Bay, incredible sunsets, the Aloha of our Puako Hylton hostess, and the luxurious home and surroundings of this piece of heaven in paradise! We were provided many exquisite, unique and sumptuous dining suggestions from our hostess, as well as, details on island-wide sightseeing, local music and cultural activities available during our stay. All in all, we loved our stay at the Puako Hylton, albeit too short, and look forward, with great anticipation, to our next visit.

What a fabulous birthday!! The most unforgettable vacation we've ever had. This is paradise!!!

My husband and friends travel all over the world, mostly tropical areas and islands are our favorite spots. Hotels, resorts, private homes... The Puako Hylton is without a doubt the most memorable place we've ever found. You might say "paradise found". The owner was incredibly helpful, generous and so charming! The home was exquisite! The attention to detail, decor, comfort and every effort to make our stay the best possible, seemed to be her mission. Every sunrise and sunset was a painting to treasure. The pantries were stocked, we had Kayaks, scuba gear, goggles... you simply could't want for a thing. Management was superb. Location was private yet only 20 minutes from restaurants, shopping, fabulous catamaran trip, or just stay at "home" and relax...... The owner/hostess knows everyone and everyone, including our group loves her. A special person! A special place! Can't wait to return, again, and again.....

Nice but won't return

Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location but across from a condominium complex where people seemed to be watching (can look straight into the upstairs room). The " pod" arrangement is great for couples or adult children but not so great for younger children. A lot of "House Rules" which kept me on edge and also "video surveillance" claiming not to be in bedrooms and bathrooms was a little off putting (just outside would be nice and comforting). Again, beautiful location right on the ocean and that evened out feeling inside the house. Had to replenish toilet paper and paper towels as we did not know where they were kept (locked in a garage), but had almost every we needed or wanted on hand. The television in the living room was impossible to operate despite the instructions. My husband wanted to watch the football games and had to just leave the tv on the sports channel to ensure that he could watch them. We usually do not watch tv on our trips but SF was playing. We felt badly to call someone to get the tv in the living room on.
