Magic in Puako!

We returned to this wonderful home in Puako and came away every bit as thrilled as we were the first time. The home is perfect-built for its location, spacious bedrooms and common areas, all directed towards the ocean, complete amenities in all areas, wonderful access to the ocean, and the calming effect of its location in this one-of-a-kind neighborhood. We enjoyed everything about our week and look forward to returning. The sooner the better!

Family Vacation

Family vacation with 9 adults and a teenager. The house is beautiful with plenty of room to spread out. Very nice indoor/outdoor areas for gathering. Gorgeous views, beautiful sunsets, and great whale watching during our stay. The house is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood and is close to the beach and other activities. The house is very well equipped and the host, Debbie was very responsive and attentive.

Great for families

This house is in a great location with easy access to many amenities. Ocean front with great snorkelling right out the back door. All of the 4 bedrooms have a private bath which makes it nice for everyone to have their own space. Debbie the host was always available for whatever was required and very enjoyable to deal with. A beautiful place to stay.

Happiest place on earth

If I could only vacation in one place for the rest of my life, this would be it. The four bedrooms are basically all "master" bedrooms. All fantastic with striking bathrooms (some outdoor showers). The wide-open front to the house (upstairs and downstairs great rooms plus all bedrooms) with choice for window, screen, shutters, or open makes this the perfect place to simply enjoy the ocean and the air. Loved the cabanas and wading pool. While ocean entry is challenging, our party did a lot of snorkeling and scuba diving from shore. Note that air conditioning is available in the bedrooms only, and the temperature is controlled from the upstairs bedrooms only (no independent controls downstairs). So don't put cold lovers above people who want the doors open at night. It's a long way to the supermarket so plan ahead and do your shopping before you arrive--so you don't miss a single minute at the house.

Beautiful home, location.

felt like a private waterfront oasis. We watched the sun set every evening and enjoying the stars from pool, hit tub at night. So relaxing with the continuous surf, ocean sounds. Spacious, luxurious home with abundant room for everyone to spread out. Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Amazing house and location

Just as amazing as the photos suggest! Entrance to water is rocky but easy enough with water shoes and SO worth doing since right in front of the house is one of the most popular snorkeling places! You can swim out before the snorkel tours get there and see beautiful coral and tons of fish. I also watched pods of dolphins swim across the bay in the morning while drinking my coffee. House manager is super accommodating and helpful. Very close to some wonderful beaches as well.

Puako Bay Paradise

Our family just can't say enough good things about this property to do it justice! The house was gorgeous, spacious, and fully equipped with all the bells and whistles and with lovely interior design. The location was stunning with amazing ocean views and access to the water directly from the house where we enjoyed snorkeling and visiting with the sea turtles, crabs, and other little ocean creatures! There's absolutely no need to go anywhere if you are in HI to rest, relax and enjoy a slice of paradise! Debbie was so responsive to our questions. We also enjoyed the close proximity to resorts to eat out and shop as well as to buy local fresh fish to bring home to grill.

Perfect Location

This was a beautiful house in a perfect location. Perfect fit for our group of 10. We loved the location and that we were so close to the water. The spa was great as were the outdoor lanai areas. Perfect for relaxing outside. Inside was spacious and spotlessly clean. Great interaction with the property manager. She was quick to answer any questions. We would definitely come again!

This property is a dream! The photos don’t even do it justice as all is spectacular. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms, outdoor showers, and lanais. The kitchen has everything you would need, wonderful and multiple coffee/espresso makers, appliances, all high end, beautiful furnishings and art. The 7 of us felt complete privacy but enjoyed all about the space, from the beach access, to the turtles, multiple family rooms, perfect spa area, pool table, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There is no reason to leave this property but the island is gorgeous as well. The property manager was responsive and wonderfully helpful. It was a complete 5 star in every way!

Incredible Stay on the Big Island

This property was the highlight of our stay on the Big Island. From the accommodations to the location, everything was perfect. I will not go into specifics since I will only be repeating what others have said but will simply say that this property lacks nothing and that it would be a great selection for any traveler to this area.

Magical Family Vacation in Pili Pono Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WOW experience from my 2 daughters, husbands, and my 5 grand kids. Pictures you see are on point! We took advantage of every view, activity, and Nikki's recommendations. Quality all around. Kitchens have all the toys! Bedrooms with optional outside showers o refreshing. Such a joy seeing my grandsons 6',6'1", 6'2", "6"3" enjoy their bunk beds like they were little boys again. Rented paddle boards and kayaks for the week and I watched from the "Spool"as they enjoyed. The scuba diving enjoyed by everyone right in front!! Mauna Kea Hotel Luau a must...2 grandsons were stars on stage. Monstera Noodles & Sushi amazing with a list of Sake like I've never seen. Saturday's Farmers Mkt so cool. Biggie for me was 5 minute walk to little Market for best ice cream ever or wine.. 5 minutes other way to charming Catholic church where the Priest walks in barefoot! my 12 yr old grand daughter on crutches and spent most of her time in the Spool with everyone else...oh and music speakers in every room...3 kids in college, if they knew their schedules now I'd re-book immediately...but will definitely re-visit this private paradise...Thank you, Nikki, for your welcoming hospitality.

Majical Family Vacation in Pili Pono Paradise

WOW Factor by all 10 of us! Location offered perfect views from every room! Immediate beach access for kayaking, paddle boarding and scuba diving! 5 min walk to little market and charming Catholic Church. 2 Kitchens had all the toys! Lovely bedrooms with optional outside showers which we used daily. Nikki, Mgr, was so hospitable with excellent recommendations we followed. We took advantage of every single minute including lounging in the Spool and just vegging with eachother. We loved it and if it wasn't for scheduling issues with 3 Grand kids in college, I'd schedule it now! Aloha and Mahalo! Isabelle Villasenor

With over 5,000 sq. ft, our three generations had plenty of space to be together as well as have alone time. The home is beautifully furnished and the outdoor area is fantastic! We barbecued and ate every dinner there. (Why go to a restaurant when we were at a perfect setting!!) Niki, the manager, was so very helpful with all of our questions and concerns. We cannot recommend more highly this beautiful home and setting!!!

Beautiful home and location. Fully stocked with any and all possible needs and wants all the way around but most importantly the manager Nikki is amazing she has been the best we have ever had. This is the home you have to choose air conditioned bedrooms and trust me the trade winds have a mind of their own it's hot this home has a great air conditioned media room and all bedrooms so you sleep well. Great pool and spa, awesome game room area upstairs huge amount of space to have some alone time!! I have rented in the area before this is the best by far!!!!!

The property manager, Nicki, is so helpful and responsive. The only issue we had on this visit was that the air conditioning was broken in 2 of the 4 bedrooms when we arrived which made sleeping a little uncomfortable for our guests. The only thing that could make this rental better would be having kayaks and SUPS included on property. I highly recommend this property!

I am an ichthyologist which is a marine biologist who specializes
in the study of fish. I attended the University of Washington, College of Fisheries and got Bachelor of Science Degree in Fishery Biology.

Thereafter I attended the University of Hawaii, Department of Zoology Graduate school and became an osteo-ichthyologist becoming an expert in fish skeletons.

With over 300 species of Hawaiian Reef Fishes available for study, The diversity of bony structure amongst the Hawaiian Reef Fishes
amazing bone structures will never cease to amaze me.

I enjoy being a host simply to share the incredible reef filled with beautiful fish, invertebrates, coral, and turtles. this is an experience not to be missed.
