Beale Street is home to street artists, museums, theaters, restaurants and shops, as well as a wildly assorted collection of entertainment options. Be sure to visit the National Civil Rights Museum, built on the site of the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. The museum highlights major events of the Civil Rights Movement and is located in downtown Memphis, TN. No visit to Memphis is complete without a visit to Graceland, the former residence of Elvis Presley.
