We are currently working on the property, please check back for updated pictures.
Secluded, cabin-themed home in a wooded setting. Home is at the end of the road, so it is very quiet with no traffic. Fairfield boat ramp just 3 miles away to launch your boat for fishing or boating, tubing and skiing, close to swimming area. Home has plenty of parking for vehicles and boats. There is a covered deck with grill on the back of the home, overlooking the fire-pit area and woods. If you enjoy nature, there is plenty to see and do. There is a Civil War Wall to view, and we have lots of butterflies, birds and hummingbirds. Just let us know if you are interested in any of these activities. Fairfield RV park with convenience store and bait only 1 mile away.
20 min to Warsaw-Visitors Center, Drake Harbor, Katy Trails, Lost Valley, Antique shops
20 min to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland
45 min to Sedalia-State Fair and other events
1 1/2 hrs to Springfield-Bass Pro Shop and Aquarium and Museum.

This place is amazing!

We were in town for a fishing tournament on Truman and we booked this place for a week. It’s quiet and peaceful and the hosts are the best people! We make this trip every year and will definitely be coming back.

I had stayed at this location for a funeral I was attending in a neighboring town. The host was gracious, even provided a sandwich tray and sympathy card. The property was clean, quiet, comfortable, and very peaceful. All just what my family and I needed.

Best place to stay at Truman Lake

We had a blast staying here for a bass tournament. The hosts were fantastic. Just like being at home.

Wonderful Cabin and thoughtful owners!

Great spot great place!

My fishing buddies and I came in and jerry & his wife were really nice and told us about the area and we're just super polite and good folks. Highly recommend! Place was spacious & clean- fit all 9 of us!

Great place to relax. The road to it is definitely tight if you bring a pontoon boat but manageable. The owners are amazingly good people. Any issue we had they were so quick to fix it. I recommend them 100%. Thanks Debbie and Jerry

Perfect and so clean!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The owners have put a lot of thought and care into the visitors experience. They supplied so many nice comforts! What I appreciated the most was how clean the cabin was! And very nice sheets on the beds! We hope to stay again this year.

We really enjoyed meeting you and your family and would love to see you again. Thank you so much for leaving the Cabin so clean!! It will be easier to hike our woods in the fall without the summer underbrush. The Corn Mazes will be open in Oct for Halloween fun. Heritage Days is Oct 17-18 and is a lot of fun with arts and crafts vendors. The Christmas Parade is Dec 11-12, but Drake Harbor will be lit up from Thanksgiving to New Years.

Great back yard

Did not expect the back ride to be as nice as it was. Lots of fire wood, lots of room to sit around the fire pit and plenty of chair provided. Nicely lit. Lovely back covered deck. Great for grilling and out door dining

Perfect Get Away Spot!!

The cabin was perfect! Just what we were looking for. Our family love the location, how peaceful it was. Jerry and Deb really go all out to make sure there guest are comfortable during your stay in there property. They provide a lot of little extra things so you feel more at home. We will be looking forward to booking with them again in the future.

We bought our property in 2006 for a weekend get-a-way. We moved here from the KC area in 2007 because we love the woods and Mother Nature. Jerry loves to fish and I love to take the boat out to cruise, tube or ski, so being this close to the boat ramp was a definite plus. We have a total of 5 acres. We have been busy updating the home to a cabin theme and making outdoor improvements over the past few months. We are both retired and our home is on the property, so we will be available most of the time. While our home is close by, we respect your privacy. You will have complete privacy on the deck and fire-pit area in the back, only you and the woods.

I grew up in the KC area and I always loved coming to Lake of the Ozarks, and then Truman Lake when it was built. Over the years, Lake of the Ozarks has become too commercialized and busy for me. Truman Lake is now 40+ years old and is the largest lake in Missouri. It is a Corp of Engineers lake, so the Corp owns the shoreline. It is well know for it's fishing, but you can also enjoy boating with family and friends. But summer is not the only magical time here. Spring brings the beauty of a new awakening with budding dogwoods and red buds. What would spring be without Snagging season or Turkey hunting. Fall brings the changing colors of the trees, brisk air and a warm campfire for roasting hot dogs and making smores. Then there is Heritage Days held the third weekend in October. It is also a great time to visit one of the corn mazes near by. Deer season brings in many hunters who use the Cabin as a base camp. As we slip into winter, there is the beauty and calming effect of a fresh snowfall with the cedar trees covered in snow. December brings Kaysinger Christmas the first weekend and Warsaw Christmas at the Harbor the second weekend. Drake Harbor comes alive with all of the Christmas lights and animated decorations which you can drive thru nightly from Thanksgiving's to New Year's. It is truly a winter wonderland. These are just a few of the many attractions in our area.
