Great Smoky Mountain Lodge! Pigeon Forge Area Cabin in Wears Valley. With almost 3,500 square feet of interior living space and almost 1,000 square feet of decks. Owners have taken great care of this home and it shows. On the main level it features an open concept with an exceptional living room with big glass windows. The cathedral style ceilings and spectacular wall of windows pulls the forest scene inside. With the comfortable sofa, gas fireplace, and 50'' flat screen TV. A half bath is off of the living room. The kitchen with granite countertops, is open to the living room with a bar or have a picnic on the deck with a large picnic table and rocking chairs in the fresh mountain air. Also on the main level is the master bedroom with a king-sized bed, Roku smart TV and a full bathroom featuring a relaxing jetted tub and a large walk-in shower, perfect after a long day of hiking, shopping and exploring. The other two bedrooms are upstairs with one having a king bed and the other a queen bed. Both have flat screen Roku smart TVs. The bedrooms share a nice full bathroom with a tub/shower. Also upstairs is a loft over looking the great room with a sofa bed couch which is the 5th bedroom. The special attention to detail in every room makes Great Smoky Mountain Lodge a true delight. Head downstairs to the bunk/game room and theater for your movie/game watching enjoyment. It also includes an arcade game for the kids or those kids at heart. Play a game on the pool table or watch a movie or game on the impressive 70 inch 4K flat screen smart TV. Bunk beds provide additional sleeping accommodations. Also downstairs is the final bedroom with a queen bed tastefully decorated in all wood and a shared bathroom with a full tub and shower. Step out on to the covered porch to enjoy the private steaming hot tub with the fresh mountain air of the Smoky Mountains all around you. Enjoy the open spaces with room to roam about and explore the wooded areas around the cabin.

We are pet friendly, but we charge a $75 pet fee per pet (of acceptable breeds) for the necessary cleaning for hair, etc. We also have a 2 pet maximum. Because of how VRBO charges fees, please advise us upon booking of the pets you will be bringing, and we will invoice you separately before check in or after checkout. However as always, if the cabin is left extra dirty and/or damaged as a result of pets or otherwise we may have to charge more upon checkout. We have a strict no party policy. We also have a maximum of 16 people. If you have more than 16 people or a party or bring more than 2 pets, your entire group will be asked to leave and you will receive no refund. There are additional basic rules in our welcome email and house manual that must also be followed, including pet rules.

There are no cameras in the house, but for security and theft prevention, there are cameras on the exterior of the home.

The communication was excellent and they were so easy to work with. The freezer handle was broken off by a previous renter and they prepared us for it and how to open it until they could replace it. Their prior to check-in messages were informative and complete. We had 10 girls for our daughters 16th birthday and they all had a great time! Would stay here again for sure. We do wish things like this weren't so expensive, but your daughter turns 16 once! Thanks for a providing a great location.

Our family stay was a success. The host were communicative, detail-oriented, and welcoming. The trip was well-worth the 9hr. drive. to get there. The cabin is beautiful, large, and family friendly. At my son’s request for his 11th birthday we gathered our family from three different states and met at the beautiful property. We were even lucky enough to see bears about three minutes from the cabin. The property was clean, equipped as advertised, and allowed for relaxation and fun. The host communicated without hiccup. The games provided as well as the spacious family room accommodated us very well; the overall property size allowed for us to retreat to our own quarters and relax when time. We recommend this property for your stay. Thank you Joshua and Michelle!

Overall the cabin was clean, the kids really enjoyed the hot tub, it was very spacious enough room for everyone to have their own space. The host answered any questions or concerns I had quickly. The day of check out unfortunately we had a flat, the host was very generous to allow my family to stay until we got the issue fixed even their handy man was willing to drive an hour away to come and help. Great host and cabin overall. Thanks again Michelle and Bill.

Fantastic location and a perfect for a larger group

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin for Spring Break! We had 2 teens and 6 adults and had plenty of room to hang out, eat and play. The location was great, and close enough to Pigeon Forge, Smoky Mtns Park and Dollywood. Hope we can make it back sometime :)

Great Place with Lots of room!

This cabin was great and had plenty of space for us! There are some STEEP (and curvy) roads to get to the cabin, but the scenery was beautiful! Our host was super responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely stay again!

Family birthday celebration

Beautiful location!! The boys loved staying downstairs!! This is perfect for relaxation and getting away from hectic lifestyles. It’s about 15 minutes to Pigeon Forge- Not bad.

Nice break

We had a great time at this cabin. It sits at the end of a cul de sac and is very quiet and private. Plenty of space for the family to spread out. The owner was very attentive and responsive to any questions. The kids enjoyed their own space downstairs for playing pool and movie time. Would stay again.

Christmas trip

We really enjoyed the cabin. It gave us plenty of space when we needed it and great area to spend time with each other as well. Would definitely stay here again. Property manager always got back to us quickly when asking questions before the trip. After we got home we noticed that something was left behind and they helped us get it back as well.

Great Family timr

Very clean! Great size for our group. Some of the mattresses were a little firm for our liking. The king mattress is worn down on one side and may need flipped or replaced soon. But we loved it and will be staying again. Thank you!!

cabin not as seen in photos/mice haven

We walk in the front door about 15 minutes after check-in and the house did not appear to be cleaned from the last customer. There was toothpaste on the bathroom mirrors, toilets hadn't been cleaned in weeks with black streaks running down the inside of them. There was dust all over everything. Could even be food hazards in kitchen. I cleaned all the dishes before and after use due to mice droppings in all parts of the kitchen. The tables and chairs are not what they are in the photos, half the chairs feel like they are going to break when you sit in them. The house was dark in person but appeared bright in the photos. There was definitely some misrepresentation of the house. Cleaning concerns and mouse droppings were discussed and pictures sent to the owner the day we arrived. Pest control did not arrive until Thursday afternoon and bare minimum cleaning was done after complaint. There were mouse droppings in the cupboards, kitchen utensil holder, silverware drawer, counters, window sill, dressers, night stands, floors. She sent someone that day. However, they cleaned just what we sent in the pictures. Basement was worst with mouse activity and the floor was rotting out in closet and bedroom floor was sinking. Mouse spotted several times running through basement. Mouse dropping on my clothes after put away in dresser, so we took all our clothes out. Definitely not what I was expecting for $6,000. SAD

"Thank you for allowing us to stay here! It is beautiful and perfect!" This is a review we got a couple weeks after this untruthful review. But nonetheless, we are sorry your stay didn't meet your expectations. Our cabin is a beautiful, spacious, million dollar log cabin, secluded in the Smoky Mountains, which as you can see from our other reviews, (the vast majority of which are 5 stars), most people have been very happy with. Both before and after your stay. You had multiple complaints during your stay each of which were handled by us within a few hours of them being made including sending our cleaners back out twice. There were some cleaning issues which were resolved. But we do expect much more from our cleaners. Your experience caused us to hire a new cleaning team which so far has done an amazing job. As for the mice complaint, it’s just false that our cabin is full of mice. There was one field mice that caused your issue. We do have monthly pest control, but the cabin is quite secluded on the side of a mountain on many acres of forest so occasionally we do have pests. Still this is a very rare occurance. But again, as soon as a concern was brought to our attention, we had someone out to investigate, then resolve it. They found a hole under the house that a field mouse had chewed in the floor and then they sealed it up. There have been no issues since then. Again of note, again, our pest control said there was one field mouse, not many like your review falsely implies. But you are right, one mouse is too many. Which is why we have monthly pest control. Thankfully, they have now remedied the problem. We don't know what to say about your complaints about the furniture or lighting. They are absolutely what are in the photos and most of the furniture is newer. We didn't have any extra lighting done when the photographs were taken. The lights were just turned on and the blinds were opened. As for the price of your stay, we price our cabin very competitively but our rates do go up during the summer and fall months when demand is higher. But again, our cabin is priced lower than most other cabins which are as nice and large as ours. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no making you happy however hard we tried. In the end, it became quite clear why your complaints were made: you and your son were trying to hold us up for several nights of a free stay. You even made threats about trying to put us out of business. While we did our best to resolve your issues, we were obviously not going to be threatened into giving you several nights of a free stay. Just like a regular home, especially one on the side of a mountain, things do occasionally come up but we are always very prompt and responsive in dealing with them. Which we absolutely were in your case. And then afterwards we made very reasonable offers to resolve all your concerns. Unfortunately, you and your son responded by being rude and threatening both to us and our maintenance man and pest control man. Fortunately, this is the first time we've had an experience with guests like you. We would not rent to you or your family again. And would recommend other hosts avoid you as well. Again, most of our guests are very happy with our cabin with the vast majority of them leaving 5 star reviews. We are a small family who works hard to provide personalized attention and prompt responses to all our guests. Service that has been reflected in our previous reviews and hundreds of wonderful stays for our guests over the years.

We recently went on a family vacation with several adults and children and there was plenty of space for all of us! The home was very clean, well stocked, and very cozy! The drive was a little bit steeper in some spots than I had anticipated, so I would be mindful of that, but my minivan was rockstar and made it up and down the mountain several times. The home is absolutely beautiful and although there are neighbors that live fairly close, the home feels very secluded and private. The host is super easy to get ahold of and quick to respond, and the house had just about everything we needed for our 5 day stay. Although the home is at the top of the mountain and fairly secluded, the drive into town for groceries/gas/activities isn’t a long one, we made several trip into Sevierville and pigeon forge! We also visited the community pool for some swimming and ice cream, and spent many mornings admiring the peace and quiet of the mountains. I would highly recommend this cabin to any large families or even small groups who are looking for a peaceful time surrounded be nature. Just be sure to look out for bears!

Magic in the Mountains

Located at the end of a cul de sac, we almost felt like we had the mountain to ourselves. Nine of us stayed here on a January weekend and had more than enough room to spare. The kids loved the TVs in every bedroom, pool table and arcade cabinet with classic games like Pac-Man and Galaga. The adults loved that the kids loved those things, plus the gas fireplace, ample kitchen and amazing views from the wrap-around decks. We left a day early to avoid getting snowed in on top of our little mountain, and even though it was out of her control, the host was nice enough to give us a discount on our stay as a result. A great destination on its own, or a smart staging ground for day trips to the Smokies or tourist traps. We’ll be sure to bring swimsuits next time to take advantage of the hot tub!

Cabin Rental

This is a beautiful cabin in the woods. Plenty of room for all 12 of us. The firepit was nice but sitting around it was a problem for us older folks, the younger ones had no problem sitting on the stumps. We older ones ended up sitting our chairs on the pavement. We all enjoyed our time at the cabin. I recommend this cabin if you are looking for a cabin to sleep10 or more people.
