The cottage has two first floor bedrooms, one with king-size double bed and one double, meaning it can sleep four people in total. There is also a ground floor bathroom comprising a bath with shower over, basin and WC. Hollie Cottage benefits from a well-equipped fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar, along with a living room with a dining table. Outside the cottage there is off road parking for one car with additional roadside parking available if required. A small patio area is available to guests, featuring garden furniture, a BBQ and a summerhouse. Located in excellent walking and fishing country, and with shops and pubs a short walk away, Hollie Cottage makes a great family base from which to explore this lovely part of Northumberland. Those interested in the country's history are sure to enjoy a visit to one of the best preserved stretches of Hadrian's Wall, only a mile north of the village, and with an ongoing dig on the site of Vindolanda, it's easy to get in touch with the nation's past. There is also a regular train and bus service to Newcastle and Carlisle.
